  1. EA Adds Nissan Leaf Sponsored Item to SimCity

I don't think what Bipin is talking about will ever be an issue...but I do think if the game ever gets modding, we'll end up having to battle a bureaucracy to get mods in. For example, a McDonald's BAT...will someone be able to do that, or would they get a message stating something about trademarks, yada yada yada...
  2. It was posted 2 A.M., April 1st...thus...APRIL FOOLZ!!! =)
  3. Build the Best: University City (Winner)

What's that big argopolis-like building thing in the background?
  4. "Banished" a City Building Strategy Game

Looks pretty sweet. If you can raise pigs in it, and in turn make bacon...you'll sell a million copies...
  5. Cities in Motion 2 Interview

Is CiM2 prebuilt cities? And you just do the transit? Or do you build the city from the ground up?
  6. SimCity PR Nightmare Escalates

"filling up the nearest house"....kind of goes against the promise of Glassbox =(
  7. Maxis to RPS: SimCity servers 'not necessary'

Has anyone used a program like Fiddler, to see how much traffic is going back and forth between SimCity and it's servers? That should be a big indication...
  8. EA Suspends SimCity Marketing

    Ouch...
  9. Medieval Mayor

    I can't find a screenshot or game-play video...is this vapour-ware?
  10. Anno 2070, first toughts

Geez......never heard of 2070, will have to look at it.
  11. I think a lot of us do the same with SC4...having an industrial city next to the residential/commercial ones, off on it's own. I usually have power there and the garbage dump.
  12. I got two things from this thread. Stay out of Dewm's region as he'll collapse your economy, and nhgriffith is ready to be our garbage dump and sewage area
  13. Leaked SimCity Game Manual

That picture on the manual, can you even build bridges? Haven't seen any game play imagery where there are cities with rivers in it.
  14. My problem is that social gamers...don't spend $60+ on a game. They usually play for free and do the micro-transaction route, or they pay $4.99 for something like Angry Birds. And a lot of us here won't be paying $60 on such a limiting game. Now if the game was for sale for $20 or $30, then I can see the "social gamer" aspect, and EA can make even more money with DLC. Paying $60, one would be more hesitant to pay $5-$15 for chunks of downloadable extras.
  15. Windows 8 and SimCity?

+1 what Xeno said. And remember that the Windows Store is only for Windows 8 Modern apps. Not for desktop applications. E.g. Photoshop is a desktop application, and won't be in the Windows Store.
