A typical English church meant to fill the space between a straight and a diagonal road. You can choose the version for flat terrain or the one meant for a little slope. The church and the ground are separate props so you can also make your own lots. HOW TO USE: For the flat lot, simply find the church in the landmarks menu and plop it! For the version with stairs, make the straight road rise 3.5m as in the pictures, and then plop the church. It might take a bit of trial and error to get the right height. Lastly you can decorate the lots with your favourite MMP trees and plants. DEPENDENCIES: Essential for the models to appear correctly: JFF Row Houses Megapack 01 JFF Row Shops Pack 01 OW Roundabout Set JFF Tenement 04 (only for the slope version) Recommended for the trees: (BSC MEGA Props - CP Vol01 BSC Mega Props - CP Vol02 BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol 01) all contained in the BSC Common Dependencies Pack If you enjoy these creations, check out my other files and as always stay tuned for more coming to the STEX! justforfun -

#20yearsSC4 Challenge - Gothic, Horror and/or Supernatural
Ulisse Wolf posted a topic in SC4 Challenges - Info and Discussion
#20yearsSC4 Challenge A tribute to the creativity that gives us to SimCity 4 With the autumnal equinox having arrived, summer is over and the cold weather is coming (That is, if climate change is not changing the climate of your area to a tropical climate). This means that the day is getting shorter and the night lasts longer. As the night lasts longer and longer, the forces of evil become stronger and stronger, which is why the next challenge will be devoted to the theme: Gothic, Horror and/or Supernatural The Challenge The challenge will be divided into two sections as was the case with the previous challenge. Players are free to do either or both of the challenges. The Gameplay - City Journal Challenge: The player will have to build a city and tell a gothic, horror and/or supernatural themed fiction set in the city they have built The BAT Challenge: Modder will need to create gothic, horror and/or supernatural themed props and/or lots Rules of the challenge If you want to participate in the challenge, you must first read the challenge code of conduct. These rules apply to all challenges, and complying with these rules allows the challenges to run more smoothly. You can see the code of conduct for the challenges here In addition, the two challenges will have these additional rules: The Gameplay - City Journal Challenge Fiction: The player must write in the style of a CJ entry that tells a gothic, horror and/or supernatural story Realism & Aesthetics: The player in crafting scenes must take into consideration aesthetics and realism All mods can be used but gothic, horror and/or supernatural themed mods are highly recommended for this challenge We want to see horror and creativity, asking for a specific type of horror can be stifling and discouraging The BAT Challenge The modder must post buildings and/or props related to the gothic, horror and/or supernatural theme. Animated props created from scratch are also accepted Creator can create functional lots with advanced modding that requires the use of LUA (You can take a cue from Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria mod) To participate in the BAT challenge, the player must exclusively post the mod to STEX following the Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria mod posting scheme and post the link here We want to see horror and creativity, asking for a specific type of horror can be stifling and discouraging IF YOU ARE DEVELOPING/HAVE DEVELOPED GOTHIC, HORROR AND/OR SUPERNATURAL THEMED MODS, PLEASE POST THESE MODS TO MAKE THE CHALLENGE MORE FUN AND IMPROVE GAMEPLAY FOR OTHER PLAYERS. Instructions To participate you must post your images within this thread by November 5, 2023 All images received from November 5 onward will be excluded. The voting phase will be announced after two weeks (around November 19, 2023) to complete the verification steps and resolve irregularity issues. Voting lasts one month and will end December 17, 2023 (approximately) DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CHALLENGE: NOVEMBER 5, 2023 If there are any other questions do not hesitate to ask them here and the scrutineers will be able to answer your questions immediately. I also recommend using hashtags #20yearsSC4 for your creations to celebrate SimCity 4. Have fun and good building mayors!- 5 Replies

After the previous state archives burned down, this building was built to be as fire proof as possible in the 19th century, including having no electric light, compensated with the large windows. It ceased its original function in 1968 and now is an events space. It has around 100 CS$$$ jobs and can be found in the landmark menu. This version is for your dense old, but not medieval, city center grids. Could be turned into a community college just as well. More details, ongoing and upcoming work in my BAT thread : -

WILLOUGHBY TOWER, at 8 S. Michigan avenue, on the southwest corner of E. Madison street, built in 1929, is 36 stories high, on caissons. Samuel N. Crowen was the architect. The eight-story Willoughby building (Western Bank Note building) previously occupied this corner. The newest design for the Willoughby Tower, by S. V. Croweon, architect, to be erected at the southwest corner of Madison and Boul Mich was announced on February 4, 1928. It is almost changed from the first design shown in The Tribune of Sunday, Sept. 18, 1927. Instead of being black, it’ll be of variegated Indiana limestone on the two street elevations, with the first two floors of granite. The tower will le flood lighted. Work started May 1, 1928. *********************************************This file has had a complete overhaul************************* It has been re-scaled, re-modelled, re-textured, re-modded and re-lotted. I am leaving the original files here for legacy purposes (in case people want to re-build plugins or just happen to want the original) but I strongly suggest you get the updated version here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=3676 As you can see, the new version is much nicer than the original screenshots. ***************************************************************************************** These 1850’s terrace houses in Forbes St Woolloomooloo are some of Sydney’s great survivors. Perched on the edge of the CBD and a stone’s throw from Sydney Harbour, they were built primarily as housing for Sydney town’s large iterant mariner population, who, in-between commissions on the clippers to Africa, Europe and the East, would often take lodging in this port city. These row houses have survived the economic downturn of the 1890’s, the bubonic plague of the beginning of the 20th Century and subsequent slum resumption orders; they narrowly missed demolition in the 1960’s when the eastern suburbs railway line was constructed and again were saved from the encroaching skyscrapers by the green bans of the Builders Labourers Federation during the 1970’s. Resumed by the Department of Housing during the mid 1980’s after a heritage order, these houses were restored by the government; thereby their future is ensured. The design of these homes has overtones of the peaky, yet playful, Gothic – steep gables, traceried barges, tall chimneys and ecclesiastic design in the ironwork of the Juliet balconies.
