  1. I want to upload SC4. What websites work with the NAM? I was told stream does not work with NAM. Which ones are compatible?
  2. I have been playing SimCity4 on window 11. I play it on a pretty wide screen. For months, the image of the game has been reduced to fit the screen perfectly (with an empty black space on the right and left). Recently, I updated the computer, and the image of the game is now stretched from left to right. How do I fix this problem? I need a step-by-step approach to fix this problem otherwise my game does not look right.
  3. I am trying to increase the resolution in my SimCity 4 game. First, I tried following this video's directions: SimCity 4 Custom Resolution Tutorial That did not work. So, I did the following: (1.) I right click on the game; showing several options-- "Open", "properties", etc. (2.) I click on "properties" (3.) In the upper left hand corner there is the option for "security"; I click on it (4.) It takes me to several options... -SYSTEM -Administrators (joe/administrators) (5.) I click on "Administrators (joe/administrators)"; it then says "to change permissions, click EDIT (6.) I press "EDIT" (7.) I click "Administrators (joe/administrators)" again and click "add"; now I am lost (8.) It takes me to "Select Users or Groups"; on the bottom it says "Enter the object names to select (examples):". It's a blank box. What do I write in that box?

I followed the directions in the following video: I added the following words (like the above video said): -CustomResolution:enabled -r1680x1050x32 I clicked “apply” and an access denied message appeared. The message read: “Access denied: you will need to provide administrator permission to change these settings. Click continue to complete this operation” I click “continue”. Nothing happens to the game. What can I do?
  5. I keep running into the same problem. Here is my main issue. My sole goal is to increase the resolution of my game. First, If I right click on the game. Then, I click on "properties". In the target box it reads: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe" /command=runGame /gameId=1207664593 /path="C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition" In the start in box it reads: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy" According to the following articles/videos it says to simply add some words at the end of what is in the target box, however that is not working. Please look at the following articles/videos. I am missing something.   7. I downloaded SC4 launcher. I clicked launch. An error message popped up. one thing I noticed while adjusting resolution was that it only had three options: -directx, -software, -openGL. I have my sc4 on hardware. Is that screwing everything up?
  8. I downloaded a map for SC4. For some weird reason certain cities along the edge of the regional map are asking for "edge reconciliation", even though the other neighboring cities are built up and not asking for edge reconciliation. Is there a mod that would allow for me to make the necessary regional city connections without the need for edge reconciliation? I would like for my road networks to function without the need for edge reconciliation.

  10. 1.) It's GOG galaxy... not GOG games; will that matter? 2.) and can this mess up the game (e.g., erase anything I'm currently playing)?

    It is just the tiles along the edge. I have started the city and saved it. I went back and it is still asking for edge reconciliation. If I press yes, the side bordering nothing turns into land.

    If you are prompted to fix your city's edges (aka "edge reconciliation"), and you do NOT, will that negatively affect any of the following: 1.) Neighbor connections; rail, highway, boat crossings, etc. (including those in the NAM network) 2.) Neighborhood deals 3.) etc. Thanks.
  13. What happened to all the mods? When I click on ST Exchange --> categories --> SimCity 4 --> mods and tools, it only has 10 pages worth of files! A while ago there were more pages. Where did all the pages go? I was relying on this when it came to downloading amazing mods. Thanks.

    I downloaded LK Appalachian Terrain Mod - WINDOWS (v1.0). I love the texture of the green terrain. However, I wanted sandy beaches and realistic looking waves to go along with this terrain. So, I downloaded the HD sandy beach mod and a mod which makes it look like there are waves in the water. Overall, everything looks good, except certain areas where the water meets the beach look unnatural. It looks angular and boxy. It doesn't have a smooth flow along the coastline. Are there other beach and water mods out there that may be more compatible with the Appalachian Terrain Mod (besides the ones recommended to me--the one with a rocky coastline and dark blue water)?   17. I have the nam42 uploaded to my game (sc4). This is the first time I am ever playing with mods and a NAM. I don't know what the hell I am doing. Please, for the love of God, I need directions. For example, what buttons do I press to rotate roads/highways? I only know that when I press tab it switches to a different road/highway. That's all I know (very pathetic). I don't know how to lay down any highways. I thought it was as simple as placing the highway piece down, and then going back to the road, clicking on the edge of the highway and dragging it. But that doesn't seem to work. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I love the game. I have been playing it since 2005. This is the first time I am playing it with mods and a NAM. PLEASE HELP!!! I would like specific directions for what to do. Thanks.

    I am new to sc4. How can I fix bumpy slopes for roads and rail? Are there any perfect mods out there? I do remember seeing a video on YouTube of a particular rail that would be dragged alongside a bumpy road to fix the slope. Does anyone know where I can find that particular rail? (Maybe a mod might need to be installed to change a railroad/monorail in the game). I would appreciate your help. Thank you.
