    Modular Parking Garages that behave like the Maxis garages, they allow sims to come in, park and walk through to another transit option. The best part is, each lot does not have to be on a street...no street access zot! These lots use family props so as to not be too repetitive. You will find these lots at the top of the parks menu. If you extracted the _Documents folder into your plugins, too, it's highly recommended to keep it, but move it out of the Plugins folder.
  5. Hello everyone, Long time since I've been very active. Jumped back into making game content, this time for Cities Skylines. Been working on a new modular airport for way too long and finally starting to put the finishing touches on it. This is my 1st unveiling and I'll probably be working on it for another month before releasing. When I started out to make this monstrosity, I had small goals to just make some simple modular airport pieces. I was always unhappy with how the nightlights in a modular building looked, always coming on at different times. When the nightlights were on all the time, I didn't like the look of it either. So I learned how to make Clear glass props. Nice. So then I had to model the insides of the buildings, then figure out the pathing, the roads I use to simplify laying things out broke the paths. So I learned how to make new roads and offset the pedestrian paths. Then I thought that I wanted to be able to have a working skytrain system going to different parts of the airport. So I had to learn how to make a proper elevated train station and a new rail line that could be bent at 90 degree angles to fit in the buildings. On and on it went until now I feel confident enough to unveil this to the community, warts and all. There are about 30 buildings in the set, a boatload of glass props, 4 roads and about 30 props (not glass). This will not be for the faint of heart. I made this airport shone in about 3 hours. This is not a "plop and go" building. Remember that some airports are like little cities themselves. So all these resources for an airport aren't all that bad...right? Almost forgot to mention the parking garage with the skywalks and integrated metro station will be released with this too. As a side note, I spent a lot of time making a station for the skytrain in the garage and making it go into the terminal building. Not happening at this stage. For now I have given up on that folly. The modular 8 level parking garages will have 11 buildings and I made 2 new parking lot light props for them. Don't be shy and tell me what you think. Just be gentle please.

    Alrighty. You asked for it and here it is. This is a setof Acura RSXs. The zip file includes 5 automata (the carsthat run around in your cities) and 5 family props of the samecars. The 10 files that read as follows: "family prop rsxblue..." are the needed files for the props and the prop model. The files that simply say: "acura rsx blue" are for the automata. I suggest using both the automata and family props. Remember that you don't need to do anything but unzip the files to yourgame's plugin folder for the cars to run around and for them to show upin your driveways. Enjoy and drive safe!

These are cars from the peak of the American automotive industry (in my humble opinion). Believe it or not, I worked on this modd on and off for three years. Now for the info. Peace This mod contains 121 UDI drivable cars for your cities and 120 commercial and residential car clusters. All cars have custom night lighting. This file is different from my 1960s Maxis Automata Replacement Modd in the following ways: - All the cars in this mod are new instances.     New Renault dealerships for your cities These new dealerships are ploppable and growable... please place all files into the game's Plugins folder. These dealerships are unlike any of my others... they all spawn Renault vehicles. The ploppable dealerships also send out a bunch of Renault when you plop them (think of it as a grand opening sale). I'd like to thank Swamper77 and all of the BSC for helping me with recent efforts. Without Swamper77's help with LUA files, this would be a much more boring BAT. Although I am not a fan of dependencies, this file has one right here: European cars new instances It is very important to have this in order to spawn the vehicles.

    And don't forget this game can't be modded. The main reason SC4 is still popular (probably more popular than it's replacement) is because of the modding community. I'm still happy with my SC4 until a real replacement comes along. Nothing on the horizon yet though.

  24. Just thought I'd formally introduce myself to the Simtropolis community and set up a space to expose people to the joys of creating and downloading new automata to the game. I wasn't sure where to put this thread. Hopefully this is a good spot for it. I guess my obsession with cars in SimCity started with SimCity 3000 Unlimited. I'm not sure if anyone remembers but the BAT came with a lousy 3 vehicle props and that wasn't nearly enough for a decent parking lot. So I went on the internet to find car props and found none. Then I recolored the sedan, and it went well, then I branched out to new vehicles. A short time after that I set up a web site: Mike's props so I could share my creations with fellow BATers. When SimCity 4 came out I looked forward to making new props for this game. I think it was when I got my copy of Rushhour and I was handed a bonus disc with new vehicle automata that an idea formed. Maybe I can make new cars to run in the game! I spent about a year trying to find out if it was truly possible. Thanks to the help I got here on Simtropolis I was finally able to make cars (mind you I have never attempted to make a mod for a game up to this point). Up to this point I have made about 25 different cars and a couple trams, see light rail mod help to find them. Here are a few pictures of traffic in a city with a large variety of vehicles...I think it looks a little more realistic. Note. I always host my pictures off site to free up Simtropolis space. I hope to get some feedback and maybe some pointers on creating new vehicles in the future. Also from time to time I will shamelessly promote my newest projects here. Speaking of shameless self-promoting...here are a few pictures of my latest dealership. I will be uploading it today sometime, hopefully. Here is the landmark version. and growable
