Ginza Six, Tokyo From whenin.tokyo: "It happens only rarely that a shopping complex can inspire your mind beyond superficial shopping goals, but a visit to Ginza Six will do just that. Besides its stunningly elegant shops, this gigantic shopping complex which takes up a whole block on Ginza’s main street, boasts one of Tokyo’s best (and free) rooftop gardens, an outstanding art and design bookstore, an art gallery, a chic food hall on the basement level, and a Noh Theatre for traditional Japanese entertainment." Built in 2017 in the former location of the Matsuzakaya department store, Ginza Six is named that way due to being in the six-chome of the Ginza area, as well as to provide a "six star" shopping experience. The luxury shopping mall has the capacity for 241 stores, including the many Ginza flagships of the building, Michelin Star restaurants, salons, and the aforementioned amenities of the first paragraph from floors 1-6 (and two basement floors). Floors 7-12 are offices, mostly of fashion consultancies and real estate (as well as a WeWork location for digital nomads), and the 13th floor includes the more fancy restaurants as well as a free rooftop park. The inside of the mall and the in-mall museum regularly features art pieces from modern artists and collectives, including legends such as Yayoi Kusama. The building is fictionalized a slight bit as I made the stores go a whole city block, rather than the back being a loading and tourbus dropoff area like in real life. I wanted people to have something to look at in all four views of the game. It's probably about 75% accurate to the real thing, and I added some of my favorite Ginza store designs to the back and left side. Store list: Front Christian Dior - expands into right side Fendi flagship Celine Yves St. Laurent Van Cleef & Arpels Valentino SMBC (Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Company offices and ATM - I made the facade expand up four floors instead of two in real life) Left Side 7-Eleven (the real one is north of G6) Onitsuka Tiger (the real one is across the street) Back Citizen Watches - expands into right side Franck Muller Watchland Lawson Hakuhinkan Toy Park (multi-floor toy store, the real one is south of G6) The House Boutique Starbucks - expands into left side This includes a 6x4 plop, a parking garage, and a C$$$7 growable. Twelve fully functional mixed-use parking garages with first/second floor retail. Valet parking is reserved for the top floor but the retail is accessible from the parking spots and this setup has become quite common in American urban development in the 21st century. It feels like every other block has a setup like this now and now your virtual cities will have them too. In real life these can occupy an entire city block, so these parking garages are 14x4 and are best built either with a road or a one-way on either side or with a road on one side and a pedmall on the other. They have a mixture of common brands and regional brands, and I find them best used in a college or hip younger urban district. There's also some unique types of businesses that haven't really been seen in the game, like a Botox clinic, a university t-shirt print shop or a swimming competition store. Real life parking companies like ABM make tons of money with these garages and now they are here to bilk your sims as well and tow their cars if they park for a minute too long. The occupancy is 7500-10000, which is unrealistic in real life but for the scale of the game, it'll do. 1 Dave’s Hot Chicken Dunkin FedEx Office Plaza Art Segway Store Crate & Barrel ABM Parking 2 Side A Ducati Dealer Container Store Citybird Warby Parker Halal Guys Barry’s Bootcamp LAZ Parking Side B Johnny Rockets Sports Clips Just Salad Uni Qlo Bubbakoos Rolex Store Smoothie King 3 Side A Staples Hwy 55 Champs Sports Ben & Jerry’s Starbucks Raising Cane’s University Tees Parking Company of America Side B Volvo-Polestar Dealer (Gustafsson) Bethany Books (fic) Zoup Melting Pot New Day Yoga (fic) Cousins Subs Cava Mediterranean 4 Side A Running World (fic) Best Buy DP Dough Calzones Shake Shack Chipotle American Apparel Side B Yard House Subway Foot Locker 7-Eleven Botox Clinic Blue Bottle Coffee Propark 5 Side A Office Depot Ramen King Pokeworks KPOT Korean Hotpot Clarkson Eyecare Another Broken Egg Cafe Side B Bar Louie Beltone Duluth Trading McAllisters Runza DGX F45 Training Lanier Parking 6 Side A &Pizza Gym Tan Laundry Dunkirk’s IGA Skyline Nekter Juice Bar PacSun Kindercare Daycare Side B Escape Hunt Famous Daves Lee-Wrangler Outlet Ray Ban/Oakley Crisp & Green National Guard Recruitment The Human Bean iPark 7 Side A Anthony’s Coal Fired Super Vapes (fic) BetMGM Mission BBQ Aveda European Wax Center Maple Street Side B American Eagle Jinya Ramen Walgreens Freebirds Burritos Playa Bowls Swim N’ Soccer Store (fic) Spot Hero 8 (for a Hawaiian-style region) Side A LL Bean McDonald’s Microsoft Store Gen Korean ZPizza Ono Hawaiian Billabong Side B CVS Chick-Fil-A Tous Les Jours bakery Vineyard Vines Rip Curl Surfing Rentals (fic) ABC Stores 9 Side A Ross Burger King Erewhon Avis-Budget Eureka! Underground Entrance, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Most high-rises on the exchanges (and the vanilla game) don't come with parking areas. Typically, if you want to add these, you can pick from one of the many parking garages that are available. Most of these parking garages represent very public buildings: ie anyone can drive their car into it and park for a fee. In real life, however, not all parking spaces are obvious, nor are they typically accessible to the public. That is what this entrance is for: it is for those areas of your city that you want an underground parking space that takes up next to no space and (visually at least) serves only the immediate buildings adjacent to it. Best of all, I have designed this model so that it will receive shadows from the surrounding structures, which will make it blend into many different types of applications. It functions as a parking garage. This was made as a prop as part of the IBM Stuttgart campus: you must therefore, download that file to get the model and desc files for the IBM garage. It is found in the Miscellaneous Transit Menu (about 2/3rds the way down). --------------------------------------- STATS UNDERGROUND ENTRANCE (IBM): Lot size : 1x1 Bulldoze Cost: § 50 Plop Cost: § 500 Capacity: 50000 vehicles Jobs: CS§ 2 Pollution: 3 (Air)/ 2 (Water)/ 6 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 1/1/0 Power Consumed: 7 Mwh Water Consumed: 25 Gal/Month Monthly Cost: § 35 Occupant Group: Transportation, Misc Transit --------------------------------------- STATS UNDERGROUND ENTRANCE (IBM): Lot size : 2x2 Bulldoze Cost: § 10 Plop Cost: § 50 Capacity: 30000 vehicles Jobs: CS§ 3 Pollution: 2 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 3 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 1/1/0 Power Consumed: 2 Mwh Water Consumed: 7 Gal/Month Monthly Cost: § 15 Occupant Group: Transportation, Misc Transit --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one is for dark nite users and one for the standard Maxis nite. You must select and install only one file - depending on which night version you use. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. If you extracted the ~Documents folder into you plugins too, it's highly recommended to keep it, but move it out of the Plugins folder. Thanks, and enjoy!- 1 Comment

Hello everyone, Long time since I've been very active. Jumped back into making game content, this time for Cities Skylines. Been working on a new modular airport for way too long and finally starting to put the finishing touches on it. This is my 1st unveiling and I'll probably be working on it for another month before releasing. When I started out to make this monstrosity, I had small goals to just make some simple modular airport pieces. I was always unhappy with how the nightlights in a modular building looked, always coming on at different times. When the nightlights were on all the time, I didn't like the look of it either. So I learned how to make Clear glass props. Nice. So then I had to model the insides of the buildings, then figure out the pathing, the roads I use to simplify laying things out broke the paths. So I learned how to make new roads and offset the pedestrian paths. Then I thought that I wanted to be able to have a working skytrain system going to different parts of the airport. So I had to learn how to make a proper elevated train station and a new rail line that could be bent at 90 degree angles to fit in the buildings. On and on it went until now I feel confident enough to unveil this to the community, warts and all. There are about 30 buildings in the set, a boatload of glass props, 4 roads and about 30 props (not glass). This will not be for the faint of heart. I made this airport shone in about 3 hours. This is not a "plop and go" building. Remember that some airports are like little cities themselves. So all these resources for an airport aren't all that bad...right? Almost forgot to mention the parking garage with the skywalks and integrated metro station will be released with this too. As a side note, I spent a lot of time making a station for the skytrain in the garage and making it go into the terminal building. Not happening at this stage. For now I have given up on that folly. The modular 8 level parking garages will have 11 buildings and I made 2 new parking lot light props for them. Don't be shy and tell me what you think. Just be gentle please.

Hello everybody! I thought I would share my workshop content here. I don't have a whole lot of assets yet, but I am slowly expanding... To keep the thread clean most of the info and screenshots are on the main workshop pages. --------------------------------------- Cold Fusion Reactor Fans of C&C Generals will rejoice with this recreation of the Cold Fusion Reactor. While I did not set out to build an exact replica, it ended up being quite faithful to the original. It's also my most detailed and well rounded model so far. With its 40MW output the A1 reactor is just as powerful as a Coal Power Plant. The A2 version has been upgraded with Control Rods and provides 50% more power. Type: Cold Fusion Reactor Service: Electricity Power: 40 ~ 60MW Cost: 32000 ~ 45000 Cost/MW: 750 ~ 800 Upkeep: 480 ~ 600/Week Upkeep/MW: 10 ~ 12 Polution: 0 Noise: 10 A1 (40MW): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=488995595 A2 (60MW): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=488995761 --------------------------------------- Toll Booth Turnpikes This experimental series of turnpike structures will allow traffic to flow through up to five individual lanes as well as provide patrol coverage directly through your motorways.
