  1. Acorn Creek Region - An American Story

Nice to see some stuff from you. So many of my major rebuildings or even new developments have often come as a result of opening a city just to do one or two minor fixes. Invariably, I always end up fixing things in the vicinity, and then in the vicinity of the vicinity, and on and on etc.
  2. Anduin Valley Revisited

Long time, no visit for me here in AV. I see a few little stylistic changes in the presentation. I shall have to try to catch up a few pages back. Those small industrial buildings look just perfect, but then you do have the knack for putting small buildings exactly where they fit.
  3. The Massopax River Valley

Backlit sign! I'd best be looking forward to tons of those with my impending move to Michigan. Nice to see you updating again. I've been reading your updates but haven't got around to replying until now. Is US-84 somewhat based on VA-7, as it goes to "Winchester" and is very developed (although VA-7 does have some more limited access stretches).
  4. Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA Metro

This is looking like a great start to a follow-up of your excellent Baton Rouge journal. I agree that the I-80/I-29 interchange is exquisite. I like the slight irregularities in the shapes of the farms while still remaining relatively rectangular. Pretty typical of midwestern farms.
  5. Naural ~ A coastal region

Interesting little commercial area between the two carriageways in 2.13. It's a sort of thing that you come across occasionally, when an existing road's capacity is increased by constructing a parallel roadway, but that roadway needs to go around pre-existing development. Something like http://tinyurl.com/g8zhy is what came to mind when I saw that. Overall I like the initial layouts of the residential developments and farmlands.
  6. For the Rail Fan Inside All of Us

You know what's funny is that as soon as I read, "March 27, 1976," I knew immediately that you were basing this on DC's Metrorail. Of course the bit of the map you've shown makes that quite obvious. There's a tiny railfan inside of me (contrary to what it may seem at timesso I'm liking this little tour.
  7. RMIP 2 Small Airport Edition Vol 1

This looks really great and it's clear you've put a lot of work into it.
  8. Justanothersim High School

Definitely a nice oldie design, especially that entryway area. Great work from you as usual!
  9. Far Away and Long Ago

Ha, I missed that whole crazy unnecessary intersection thing! Funny thing is, if there actually was a lot of traffic, something like 133.7 would actually be really nice.
  10. San Angeles Islands

Hey Dave, nice to see the start of another potentially interesting city journal from you.
  11. Ridge - Times Change...(re-re-opening soon.)

Don't underplay the power of grids. They are a vitally efficient way to lay out a city or even a region and offer great livability to a city's urban core. Early on I made a decision to stray from the grid in Downingsford, and now I am deeply regretting that decision. That slope up the ridge is interesting. I'm really wondering about that.
  12. P9 Aalesund Hospital

    Looks great!
  13. Cogeo Logistics Centre Dependency Pack V2

    Warehouse variety! Excellent buildings.
  14. Urland, a (mostly) rural coastline

Nice to see an update from you, Bernhard. Everytime I see farmland from rural masters like you or dhoppeii, it makes me want to immediately open one of my farming cities and work on it--although I'm at work now, so that's not quite possible... Great layout with the monastery, and that McDonalds adjacent is humorous, but actually quite representative of the interesting juxtaposition of old and new that exists in many parts of Europe. I've seen McDonalds in some quite odd places.
  15. Modular Industrial Lots

Those descriptions are fantastic! Synergistically will be my new favorite word. Oh yeah... the lots are great too... :)
  16. Botania - City of Hope & Greens

I really enjoy this CJ more and more each time I visit. That's some nice suburban layout, replete with roundabouts and all, and that ecological park looks great. I see you really like those BSC trails, and I can't say that I blame you; they are really quite nice and I've found fit in a variety of settings. One of my favorite things I've seen you do with them was a few pages back, where you used a pedestrian overpass over Pleasant Drive and connected it to the BSC trails. Really creative use there! And I am just as guilty of lurking in your CJ as you with mine (I've definitely visited more than just twice), so no worries.
  17. First National Bank Tower

    Excellent looking building. Thanks!
  18. ITS Unreleased Set Vol1

Quite appreciated. I'll check them out for sure.
  19. Terminus aka Wood Country

This is definitely very unique, and I personally am looking forward to further updates here, whether it be development or just more setup of infrastructure, which I am quite enjoying. As has been said, non-grid cities are not new, nor are grid cities unrealistic in real life. But your particular approach and presentation are definitely setting this journal apart from others that try to address this issue. I do like that rail line. Very nifty, and clearly took a lot of effort. I tried something similar to that once without nearly as good result as you have gotten here.
  20. JS Seawalls

They look quite nice. A nice alternative to the concrete.
  21. Container Freight Yards

    Nice layouts!
  22. Inner City Freight

    More great stuff. Thanks!
  23. Botania - City of Hope & Greens

This is my first visit here, and I have to say that I really enjoy the details you've put into the layouts, especially with the parks and other green space. Of course my favorite parts are the excellent road system and well-thought-out interchanges.
  24. Big ol' park ya got there! That must have taken some effort and patience to look right. The port area on the first page looks really nice, and I like the progress you made on the look of your farming areas. I always enjoy playing around with the various farms at our disposal.
