As I was on Facebook earlier today, I couldn't help but notice all of the posts about "Kony 2012." I had absolutely no clue what this was all about until I took a gander of the video on youtube. With the video getting 36 million plus views in 3 days, I'm curious to see what other people think of this movement. If you have no idea about what I am talking about here is the link to the video

While I'm all for helping people in need, especially children, I don't understand why this particular conflict seems to be sparking awareness opposed to other conflicts and issues. There are hundreds of issues and conflicts in this world that seem to be invisible to the world. These are the same people that turn their heads at the prejudices in their own countries, in their own communities. While I understand the horrific events going on in Uganda and am glad it has finally come to the attention of the world, I find it funny that these people who are bringing this issue to light, are doing the same thing that they are trying to get rid of, unawareness of the problems of the world. They aren't providing awareness for other problems and issues such as the aids awareness in Africa, the unethical treatment of women in the middle east, or even the violence in their own backyards. These people that are complaining that politicians are blind to this Kony bastard are forgetting about the multitude of other problems that are failed to be acted on.

Here's an idea! What if we wait until the game is released before we criticize it.
