Time sure flies when real life hits. I joined ST on January 10, 2003 ... which means I'm about to have my sixteenth anniversary here in a couple of weeks. It's amazing to see the community and the game still going so strong - so long after its original release.

It's been a few years, so I have a few to share. I trust y'all will bear with me. I'm still playing inline hockey: ... and I'm working in the sport, too! I'm the public address announcer for a professional women's hockey team (the Buffalo Beauts), a NCAA men's hockey team (the Canisius Golden Griffins), a college club hockey team (the Buffalo Bulls), and a junior hockey team (the Buffalo Jr. Sabres). Here's yours truly earlier this year after working the first-ever NWHL Isobel Cup Final - and at HARBORCENTER in downtown Buffalo working a Jr. Sabres game: The really awesome thing that happened this year, though: I got married! Here's a photo from the awesome day with my wife, Melissa!

I'm incredibly saddened to hear of John's passing - and that it took me this long to find out. Sending my thoughts & condolences to his family. I remember sharing my life's joys and talking about the most random of things in his virtual cafe. I do hope someone keeps it going in his memory. Cancer can take a long walk off of a short cliff.

Unsure how many remember yours truly, but I decided to poke around for the first time in a very long time today. It's hard to believe that I picked up my first copy of SimCity when I was a freshman in high school...now, I'm 28 and living on my own in the city of Buffalo, NY. I'm a professional insurance agent, and I do public address & music for several area hockey teams. I'm also getting married in July to a sweet gal who might love hockey more than I do. We shall see if I pick the BAT back up & start churning out road signs again. Hopefully, I'm able to do so.

Ryan's Highway Sign Workshop Request Queue: OPEN That's right, folks - I'm taking requests for highway signs once again! Here are a couple of examples of signs I will be doing: Sign Features: Fully compliant with American traffic sign standards Realistic & up-to-date fonts, colors & route markers Custom-fit to RHW lane widths Fully Rendered in High Definition The request line is currently OPEN. REQUEST RULES: 1) Please keep the number of signs requested to less than 10. 2) I am only doing "big green sign" (BGS) assemblies as shown above - no requests for "reassurance" route markers, please. 3) Please try to give me a picture of what you would like me to create for you. As much as I'd like to think, I'm not a mind-reader. 3A) These signs will be for RHW highways only - please let me know what type of lane setup you wish me to work with. 4) No requests for European or Pacific signs, please. I'm sticking with American (and possibly Canadian) signs - I don't want to infringe on Maarten's territory. 5) All requests will be done in a reasonable amount of time. aaling: I read it . . . and I agree. I see those differences all the time when I come on up the QEW (more so recently - gotta love Jr. Sabres road trips!). I used to be somewhat decent at editing textures . . . my first effort was the Two-Way Left Turn Lane cosmetic mod that ended up being one of the first steps of the TLA-5 / NWM. I've lost my touch, but I've got some knowledge of road & pavement markings, which I'd be happy to lend to the team. Anything I can do to help! -

Thanks mrtnrln. When will the Euro RHW 5.0 come out I've been eagerly waiting use the euro road mod with it! Hi, Will! Just wanted to let you (& everyone else) know that I've hit quite the RL patch. Full-time job has me uber-busy, and I don't have much time to model signs, unfortunately. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into the groove soon!
