  8. nm, sneaky defender found it when I touched the folder and removed it but didn't pop up a notification. Despite it being severe. I found it under protection history ... Pretty sure I used the jar file to install but better safe than sorry. Guess I'm formatting and reinstalling windows. Btw, I searched my history in chrome for moddb and found I downloaded on Oct 9th. My download link still works as well, so moddb hasn't completely removed NAM files. If you use your MS account to sign in to the PC you're playing SC4 on, change your password. And ALL your passwords to EVERY account you have. Along with formatting and reinstalling windows. Google shelood trojan for more info.
  9. No, that's not a clean install. Clean means formatting your storage and running win 11 install from a USB stick. Google windows 11 installation media and you'll find MS installer that will format a USB stick for you. Youtube should have some tutorials on a clean install.
  10. Scanned the NAM folder in my downloads and plugins with MS defender and reported clean. I checked the NAM folder I extracted and saw version.cpl. Then I right clicked to edit the bat to find out if the link was in there and version.cpl disappeared. Nothing reported in MS defender. I'm doing a full scan now and will try another AV. Anyone else seen version.cpl disappear on its own? Is there a legit version.cpl?

  13. Old post but figured I would reply since this came up in my googling. I was having the same problems with a new HP spectre w/ ultra 7 155h and Intel Arc graphics. I used dgvoodoo and configured it using the dgvoodoo 3d accelerated card (under directx tab). Then replaced the d3d9.dll with the newer larger one from dxvk in the apps folder. That resolved the issues and the game runs fine at 2560x1600 with no weird artifacts. I also have a PC with a RTX 3080 and just plain old dgvoodoo solved those issues. Able to run it at 4k or any other resolution.

    Mine was tessellation. Open Catalyst control center --> 3D settings --> scroll down and set tessellation to use application settings. Apply and restart SC4 if it is open. I have an AMD 7850 and a FX-6300 on this specific PC with the 14.7 RC3 beta drivers installed.
