Hello, I'm.. back...? I have to suddenly start job hunting, so I don't think I will be able to be active often for a while. However, I am still continuing to make the BAT I was working on. I will try to make it little by little while taking breaks when I get tired of job hunting. I have already drawn the design sketches, but the modeling process is taking quite a long time as I am modifying them to give it a more classic feel. I also need to add Beaux-Arts style roofs and dormers later.

Based on the Harold Washington Library in Chicago, USA. While it looks historic, the real building was built in 1991. Information: There is one lot included in this upload, a ploppable 4x7 library. This is a large library best suited for large urban areas. It costs $7,050 to plop. It holds up to 1.32 million books, and cost up to $3,450/month to maintain. Installation: Copy/extract the content of this folder into your Plugins. Dependencies: You will need to download AGC Buildings RWS DLC for the Model file: The 4x4 growable requires three (3) AGC Prop packs, for Street Props, Flora and Automobiles: Credits: I only did the lotting, modding and testing. The refined modeling, texturing and lighting are by AGC / Barroco Hispano. I just discovered this yesterday, and downloaded the new PIM-X today, toying around with it a little. Needless to say, I'm very impressed by all the new features, this actually renders a bunch of other tool useless, and we get a proper workflow for pretty much every aspect of lot creation and modding in one tool! Thank you for this massive amount of work, it's another step for making our beloved SC4 immortal! Naturally, I was looking around if there's the ability to translate the program, just as the old one, and thankfully, pretty much all of the old text strings are still in place, so I've assembled a German translation, based on the English language file. Some translations might be not perfect yet, but it's a good start, I'd say. However, I noticed that quite a few entries in the category tree are not translated. I tried copying the text strings in the old language file and adapt the prefix pattern accordingly, but then the program would crash at startup. Attached below is a copy of my German language file, feel free to integrate it into the next update. Not sure if the rest of the strings can be added somehow, but now the mix of German and English looks a bit odd (see screenshot). The all-new Lot Editor looks great as well; as a "mouse guy" I can never remember all the keyboard shortcuts, so the toolbar is very helpful alright. Compared to the old LE, I think the only things that are missing are rotation buttons for the preview, and maybe separated zoom buttons for preview and lot editing area (sometimes, you want an overview of the lot AND precise placement for items). I'm curious about the Transit Switch Editor, that was something the good old SC4Tool was popular for, but sadly, it wasn't reliable all the time and never got fixed properly. de.toml_v2.zip

I'm not dead! Just busy with work. (And an ongoing series of medical snafus...) Continuing to jump from project to project as I try to get better at modeling things. I really like how this water tower turned out, especially the painted metal texture: Made some tweaks to how I handle the ground plane. It should give correct bounce lighting now even at night. (Not particularly visible here, alas.)

The new 2026 version should be a lot more stable than the 2009 version, especially on larger Plugins folders. Hmm yeah definitely not a setup that I can easily replicate. If I understand correctly this is an Intel Mac? I could try to build a custom binary for that platform via GitHub Actions, see if it helps? I don't intend to support officially any thing other than Win x64 and Mac Arm64 though. Awesome, thanks @Andreas Roth! I've integrated your translation file as well as your ideas for independent zoom (and rotation) for each of the panes (2D and 3D) now in the new version v2026.7.7 that was uploaded to the STEX and is available here on GitHub Release v2026.7.7 · caspervg/SC4PIM-X. Features - Language selection, plus more category translation coverage (Andreas will have to update his German translation file to cover the extra categories that are now supported) - German (Deutsch) language added - Separate 2D and 3D pane controls for zooming and rotation, plus scroll wheel zooming Fixes - More fault-tolerant S3D and XML parsing (see Error reading XML for model · Issue #4 · caspervg/SC4PIM-X, thanks to TiepiNL for the GitHub report)

Chelonia: Jamestowne, A Modern Capital On the northern shore of Lake George, the first of the rebuilt cities grew. Prince Lincoln, an “ample” Ginger cat with the vision and determination the rebuilding needs, assumed leadership of the principality and established the new capital city of Jamestowne. In a break from tradition, he has chosen to live in a country estate outside of the capital. The other viceroy-level leaders all have in-town palaces. The biggest surprise is his decision regarding the thousands of motor vehicles left behind after Queensferry’s occupation force was driven out. Most of the country has banned them from general use due to the feline aversion to cars. Lincoln got the Supreme Wirdle’s blessing to try an experiment – allowing the vehicles to stay in Chelonia, with certain restrictions. He proposed to create a special division of the National Transit Office to supervise the vehicles’ introduction. The MTO, Motor Transport Office, has authorized limited use of cars in the streets of Chelonia subject to the following restrictions: the speed may not exceed 5 MPH, they may only be used in daytime hours, and all drivers must pass a competency test. Any rules violations will result in a minimum fine of being sprayed with water and chased. Repeat offenders will be banned from driving and chased up a tree. Prince Lincoln, shown above, got the first driver’s license. Jamestowne, viewed from the south, sits on the northern shore of Lake George. At the center is the government complex. Just north of Government House is War Memorial Plaza. A trail leads from the north side of the plaza up the ridge to the ruins of the region’s castle. Government House is a three-building complex to house the principality’s government as well as the Council of Lake George, regional Bureau of Feline Affairs office, and the city’s offices. It was rebuilt from the previous administrative complex and also comes with a nifty plaza with statues. Heroes’ Square, as the plaza is officially named, features statues of the two leaders of the liberation – Generals Tippi and Cecil. True heroes on the half shell! The busy port is the busiest on Lake George. Passengers and freight go back and forth between Jamestowne and St. George, Baconsborough, and Turtle Pond daily. The fishing fleet is based here, providing tasty salmon, tuna, and other stinky fish for discriminating feline palates. Fish and many other fine products are sold at Trotro Market, the largest commercial emporium on the lake. A trendy new restaurant is inside as well. There, you can pounce on your own prey and have it served fresh on a bed of catnip. Mmmmm, tasty! The Cathedral of St. James is on the waterfront, on the intersection of Main Street and West Street. Across West Street is the Hive Performing Arts Center (HPAC). HPAC hosts theatre productions, concerts, and currently features dancing honeybees. These are some of the stately homes on Cathead Terrace The residents on Edgehill Lane overlook, but do not look down upon, those living on Cathead Terrace. At the north end of town is War Memorial Plaza. It is the largest war memorial in the Lake George area. This area was the center of Queensferry’s scorched-earth withdrawal from the theater of operations. On the ridge just north of town, remnants of the council’s protective castle remains, preserved as a national historic park. It is accessed by a gravel path which begins by Memorial Church. War Memorial Plaza is the largest of its kind in Chelonia. The plaza features flags, memorials, and a central hall. On the northern side is Memorial Church and the path to the castle on the hill. All of these comprise Lake George National Historic Park. Some of the fallen are buried at Memorial Church as well. Many others are at National Cemetery, which is built on the largest peak in the region. The path to the castle starts here. The path is quite steep. But the views from the top are worth it! Here we are at the Castle on the Hill. Next model that I`m working on. I haven`t finished the model, it`s still pending the final detailing, but I already started testing the polycarbonate material that I plan to use on the brisè (sort of), kind of liked the result. The previous project, the duplex house, its already finished. I`m too lazy to finish the final steps of the lot editing, but I plan to post it on this weekend maybe.

Who wants to live in the drab and boring suburbs, toiling away to pay the mortgage on a single-family home where you have to repaint the fence every year or risk becoming a pariah in the neighbors' eyes? City living is what it's all about! Cohabitation and being in the mix and whirl of society all around you! If you prefer to be living where you have five choices for takeout at midnight from the joints around the corner, then these three midrises are for you! Included in this upload are the following establishments... Montresor Tower Luchesi Place The Fortunato The first on the list is a low wealth, while the second is medium, and the third is high. No matter what your salary is and what you can afford (or nearly afford) for rent, then there's something here for you! All three are 3x3 footprints, with the first two growing at stage 7, and the last growing at stage 6. Stats and modding are in keeping with past uploads, and all are tricked out with nightlighting as usual. So go ahead and zone that medium and high density, and watch these beauties grow! Enjoy...

Thanks for your help, and for suggesting the Colossus Addon Mod!! I just installed SC4CPUOptions.dll and SC4CPUOptions.ini into my plugins folder. Not nearly as daunting as I had imagined. If I can find the time, I will work on the next Ultimate Guide link either later today (maybe) or sometime this week. It seems downloading and installing the next set of files would be a similar process like what I just completed. And I appreciate your providing an option that will speed up the process of getting this game running!! btw, what files does the Colossus Addon Mod provide?

30 North LaSalle is an office building located at the corner of LaSalle and Washington streets in downtown Chicago, Illinois. It was designed by Thomas E. Stanley (1917–2001) in the New Formalist style. It stands on the site of the old Chicago Stock Exchange building, which was demolished in 1972 after a failed historic preservation intiative. Completed in 1975, 30 North LaSalle stands 44 floors / 553 feet / 169 meters tall. The Chicago City Council designated it a landmark in May 2026. Disclaimer: THIS SET OF LOTS IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY. Please read below for details. Description: This is a set of 30 growable R$$ lots using C.P.'s wonderful 19th Century $$ Houses. This is a unique set of lots because it is only intended for placement along diagonal roads, streets or avenues. THESE WILL NOT GROW ALONG ORTHGONAL ROADS. Each lot is modded to grow on a "corner", which is essentially what every diagonal road looks like to the game simulator. 15 of the lots will grow on "left corners" and 15 lots will grow on "right corners" so you will see a wide variety of lots. In addition, prop families were used liberally on the lots to ensure a diverse look. The included lot sizes are: 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, and 2x2. Each lot is modded with statistics equivalent to Maxis R$$ standard home values. These diagonal lots will only grow on the Chicago tileset (growth stages 1-3). DLL DEPENDENCIES: In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install): Allow More Building Styles DLL Plugin - You need to get the function of the additional styles Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only). DEPENDENCIES: BSC Textures Pack CycleDog Vol 1 BSC MEGA Props CP Vol01 BSC MEGA Props CP Vol02 BSC MEGA Props SG Vol01 SPAM Super Resource Pack (If you already use the full SPAM MOD you do not need this) JMyers Homes Vol 01 ('Props' and 'Textures' folders only) CP Early 19th Century $$ Houses ('CP_Early19thCent_MedHse_models.dat' file only) Installation: Simply unzip the file and put the 'SimCougs R$$ Diagonal Homes' folder in your plugins (don't forget the dependencies). Place the 'SimCoug Diagonal Home Tutorial' outside of your plugin folder - this is simply a series of images to help you with the placement of these lots. Developer notes: I will repeat this again: THIS SET OF LOTS IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY. It will take time and patience to grow these lots along diagonal roads as they were intended. While the modding of these lots ensures that they will not grow on orthogonal roads, orthogonal lots can and will grow along diagonal roads. That means you mayhave a wild mix of lots along your diagonal roads. In order to keep things in line, you will need to keep your bulldoze tool handy, and be quick to mark the 'Make Historical" box in the query. Please take a look at the tutorial images included with this download for more details. Support: For comments, questions or help, please visit SimCoug's Lot&Mod Den Special Thanks: Thanks to OP4 for creating the BLAM blank, which was used as the building model for these lots. A special thanks to C.P. for creating the brilliant 19th Century $$ House set (and including diagonal models!) Thanks to the great BATers who generously shared their prop models - this set would not be possible without them. Also, thanks for the gang over at SimPeg for all the suggestions and encouragement.

Description: This is a set of 50 growable R$$ lots using the Maxis R$$ standard homes from the New York and Chicago tile sets. 4 prop families were created from the various Maxis homes and are included with this set in order to maximize the variety of each lot. In addition, Krashspeed was kind enough to masterfully BAT a set of beautiful mailbox props which are featured on these lots as a sort of sneak-peak. The full mailbox prop set will be released on the STEX shortly. The included lot sizes are: 1x1, 1x2, 2x1, 1x3 and 2x2 Each lot is modded with nearly identical statistics as the standard Maxis R$$ homes. In addition, these houses will only grow on the Chicago and New York tile sets (growth stages 1-3). And because these lots include a custom .desc file, maxis blockers will have no effect on these lots. If you truly hate Maxis houses, do not download this set DLL DEPENDENCIES: In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install): Allow More Building Styles DLL Plugin - You need to get the function of the additional styles Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only). If you are picky about lot size, feel free to add or remove the various lot .dat files, as they are organized by lot size. Developer notes: These could be considered a sequel of sorts to the Jmyers re-lots that I released earlier (with nearly the same dependencies). Like those lots, these lots were built with a more rural/historical feel. I think they will fit in any city, but you will not see any cars on these lots. Also, these lots take advantage of CP's seasonal flora - so if you do not like your flora changing with the seasons, you have been warned. Support: For comments, questions or help, please visit SimCoug's Lot&Mod Den Special Thanks: Thanks to OP4 for creating the BLAM blank, which was used as the model for these lots. The Hong Kong / Asia BAT Team presents HK Garden Estate Towers BATs created by bixel Modding, lot design & readme by T Wrecks Check out the Hong Kong /Asia BAT Team thread at Simtropolis Introduction / Overview Finally it is out - probably one of the most radical lot sets ever to appear on the STEX in one download. This file contains no less than 15 low-wealth and 17 medium-wealth lots, based on a slew of different combinations of 5 residential towers, ranging from compact single-tower lots to large complexes with 5 or 6 towers. The objective of this set was to enable SimMayors to recreate those huge, multi-tower residential complexes that can be found in Hong Kong. This time, however, the approach was different in two respects: Firstly, instead of combining all buildings on a massive mega lot, this set is fully modular (see included example screenshots) and can be used to compose a tower complex of virtually any size and shape by means of smaller individual lots with lot sizes ranging from 2x3 to 6x6. Secondly, this time no particular real-life complex was recreated accurately. Instead, these towers look rather generic and are only based on floor plans of actual HK residential buildings and inspired by existing estates, but otherwise ficticious. Another interesting aspect is that one of the tower models features custom LODs which allowed the roof of the base section to be filled with props. Since the towers look so generic, they can also serve as both R$ and R$$ buildings - the choice is up to you! Included Lots / Dependencies First of all, everything you need is included in this download, i.e. there are no dependencies! The following tables list all included lots together with their name, their tower configuration, lot size, growth stage, and occupant number. This time there are no exact stats listings, as this would result in a table that would be several screens in width and height. However, you can rest assured that the stats and values have been chosen carefully and will not stray too far from in-game buildings. You will also see that all lots are depicted on separate screenshots (yes, for both wealth levels!) so that you can browse through the screenshots comfortably and decide which lots you are going to use and which ones you don't like. Any combination is possible; you can choose only one single lot, some of one wealth level, some of both wealth levels, or simply all the 32 of them. Note: Numbers 2a and 2b are only available as R$$, hence they are not listed in the first table, which only contains the R$ lots. TABLE 1: LOW-WEALTH (R$) LOTS

Huge warehouses can be found in almost all of the industrial districts in my city. However Wilmott Widgets is still pretty small comparatively. The program will guide you through the process. You can change the default installation path, but we strongly suggest to keep the standard folder in order to make future updates and additions easier. MAC Users: File Juicer (https://echoone.com/filejuicer/forwindows) should enable you to use this installer package. Un-Installing: To un-install the files, simply bulldoze every lot from this download in your cities and delete the files from the plugins folder afterwards. Download Locations - Lot files go to My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\BSC\Don Miguel\Warehouse. The ReadMe file goes to My Documents\SimCity 4\STEX_Downloads\BSC\Don Miguel. It will launch automatically at the end of the installation. Note about Nightlighting Effects In order to see the nightlighting, you must install the EP1-Update 1 for Rush Hour/SimCity 4 Deluxe, and then afterwards, install the SC4-Update for nightlighting. If this update isn't installed, you won't see any lighting effects on custom BAT buildings. Disclaimer

The Cobb Park Plaza A high wealth residential tower housing 1891 sims. The Cobb Park Plaza's design certainly will not suit everyone's taste, but it is highly unusual for a purpose: the design allows for a lush, open-air garden to cover nearly the entire ground level, in spite of the building's large size. Your wealthy sims may also avail themselves of the outside elevators, and the rooftop pavilion, for spectacular views of your city. Improvements were made to this building based on many helpful suggestions in the BAT open discussion forum. Be sure to read the "readme" file enclosed with the download, for installation instructions and other notes.

Tired of the ridiculous population densities in SC4, which necessitate unrealistically large portions of your cities being devoted to commerce and industry? Akin to the Industry Quadrupler, this mod halves the population--normal and at all applicable levels of dilapidation--of all of the game's built-in residential properties. WARNING: If you plan to use residential BATs from the STEX or other sources, they will take over your cities unless you make sure to cut their populations in half as well. Much thanks to iLive and DarkMatter for their respective DAT-editing programs. Instructions: Simply download and unzip to your Program Files plugins directory. A "Residential Halver" directory will be created for you.
