7 pointsToday I have another preview from the first town that we are going to visit as soon as I create the new city Journal. I still have a lot of work to do in order to prepare the region for the future CJ. I believe that everything should be ready in 10 days, more or less... currently I am working on the international airport as well which is taking a lot of my time... Anyway, please find below a picture from one of the beautiful temples that can be found in the region. I hope you like it

4 pointsThis map is looking awesome! You might consider rotating it 90° counter-clockwise to fit within the constraints of the Region Scroll Bug. Otherwise, you will have user interface issues with East Long Island and the Hamptons. In the mapmaking guides I wrote to you I don't think I mentioned the Region Scroll Bug. Within the SimCity game's Region View, there are horizontal and vertical limits to scrolling, beyond which cities in a region map are not displayed and inaccessible for players. It is possible with SC4 Mapper and SC4 Terraformer to create region maps larger than can be scrolled in the SimCity Region View, but those cities beyond the scrolling limits still remain unplayable. Because the Region View shows the region as a skew, the scroll limits are also skewed and had to be found through trial and error. @archemediesx began a diagram generally showing where the region scroll limits occurred, and I just now made a more complete one: This is a skewed SC4 Mapper image of a draft New York region. The map's total horizontal length is 45 large cites, and the total vertical length is 65 large cities, for potentially 2,925 large cities. An important caveat is that while SimCity will load an all-blue, 180 x 260 config.bmp with blank placeholders for cities, my game actually crashes when trying to load an SC4 Mapper-generated 45 x 65 large city region with actual .sc4 city files. I think SimCity simply reaches a limit in its 32-bit memory when loading the region. The area generally shaded in red will not be visible in the SimCity Region View, so many of the potential cities in this map are not actually visible or playable. In Region View, when scrolling into the red-shaded area, scrolling will suddenly stop and can even seem to freeze in place, though reversing the scrolling direction can usually back the scroll out of the stuck state. The horizontal scroll limit is not actually a smooth barrier but is instead somewhat jagged following the skew of the map. Slivers and corners of cities that are otherwise mostly in the unscrollable area might still be visible, and these visible bits allow cities skirting the border of the scrollable area to still be loaded and played via mouse triple-clicking. It is possible to craft a 180 x 260 config.bmp to leave out the cities that would be unreachable by the Region View Scroll. After trial-and-error, I made this one to maximize all the playable cities: Using this config.bmp in SC4 Mapper 2013 to filter out the unusable cities... ...makes a region I can actually load with SimCity!!! I have spent a week crashing SimCity trying to make this work! From Philadelphia: To New Haven: This full region image was exported using SimCity4 Startup Manager V3, and has been reduced to 20% of its original size to be uploadable to Imgur. I think it may show a maximum number of cities possible in SimCity 4, as anything larger would just have unseen, unusable cities cut off by the Region Scroll Bug. File Explorer shows this region's folder has 2,186 undeveloped cities. I do not know how long this region would remain stable if many of them were to be developed, as this region's folder is already 1.01GB in size. I'm not a fan of the irregular quadrilateral map with jagged edges, and have personally chosen 31 x 52 large cities as the max size for my projects. _ Yep, that's what I worked on...creating and crashing regions!

4 points@Simulation City Hi, not easy because the photo is not of very good quality! So 1,2 In fact, it's the same building (perspective problem, I think) Millennium Tower here 3 - SkyTower2222 4 - The Glass Tower version 1 And the revised version in 2010 5 - For this buildind I think it's again the One International Trade Center, even if you can't see the base, the last part and the roof strongly look like this building

This set overrides the SAM4 - PEG Gravel Textures. It is based on the type of gravel roads found throughout NZ and parts of Australia. These roads consist of an earth base, with 1-3cm bluestone gravel graded onto the surface. Relatively cheap to build and maintain they can represent a substantial challenge to inexperienced drivers. Rally driving on the other hand is a great deal of fun. This set MUST be loaded after SAM in order to override these textures. Ideally this should be installed in Plugins\Z___RVT Modds\RVT Streets Existing PEG Gravel streets will appear as NZ gravel. Revert by removing .dat. These are designed to work with SAM5 Override - Rural Tarsealed, and Urban Tarsealed Streets Requires SAM to work... rivit Dec 2010 -

The Clock Tower Building, built between 1929 and 1930 in Art Déco style, is the 4th highest skyscraper in Santa Monica. For around 40 years it held the record for the tallest building in the skyline. The skyscraper was commissioned by the Bay Cities Guaranty and Loan Association to the Californian architects Albert R. Walker (1881–1958) and Percy A. Eisen (1885–1946), whose firm, Walker & Eisen, with a staff of more than 50 draughtsmen, was the most important leading practice in California in the 1920s. Among its many completed projects, the firm had recently designed the extraordinary skyscraper in the Romanesque Revival style known as the Fine Arts Building in Los Angeles (now owned by Sorgente Group of America), one of the most representative buildings in the city. The Reynolds Building is a 314-foot (96 m) Art Deco skyscraper at 51 E. 4th Street in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina with 313,996 square feet (29,171.2 m2) of space. It was completed in 1929 and has 21 floors. For much of its history the building served as headquarters for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. After a sale to PMC Property Group in 2014, the building went through an estimated $60 million in renovations. In March 2016, The Residences @ the R.J. Reynolds Building, apartments located on the top 11 floors, opened. The first six floors opened as the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel in April. Another week, another map! This time it's Sao Paulo, Brazil (for SimCity 4)! Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil, with the metropolitan area being home to 22 million people. The map is 16 x 20 large city tiles and is accurately scaled based on DEM data. Some elevation levels have been compressed to allow for game water. In order to install the map you will need wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer as the file is in SC4M format. I hope you can put this map to good use, enjoy! -TCC Maps released weekly on Tuesdays or Wednesdays (US, Pacific time), View My Full Map Catalogue Here: -

1 pointYou can build that ramp at ground level, and then elevated it with a transition. The end result does look a little subpar however which is why that setup does not exist. Example- I just built this- see how the shoulder of the 6S is being eaten into by the left barrier of the elevated MIS ramp? If I rotate the camera you can see it more. Shoulder is cannibalized - You got me thinking however... I did not consider this and I might be able to build this connection with a 1 tile gap... just pushes the loop a tile south.

1 pointI don't think there's any limitations on residential going into higher levels, when you're solely reliant on commercial services. The thing about developing into higher densities, is that you need to effectively find a way to restrict outward growth, so that demand requires vertical growth. This can be done regardless of how much CS you have in a city. Though, there will be some limitation inherent to relying on CS, simply due to the fact that there's not that many tall CS buildings. The best you're going to get out of CS is mid-rise buildings, but, it'll still continue on with some pretty solid R development. As for having only CS affecting industrial? I believe it does, but, not in the way you'd think. Commerce, especially services, needs products. Products are made with industry, so, by default it'll be increasing demand for industrial. I don't know what the correlation is (if it's 1:1, o, 1:2, or 2:1, etc) between how much commerce increases industrial demand, but, it does increase it. The way the game's built, there's only 1 thing that's always in demand, and that's CS$. Not clear on why it's not R$ tbh, but, either way, it helps to attract more people to the city, so, you'll always be building something up. CS$ requires workers, which raises demand for R and requires goods, which requires I, allowing for constant growth. Keep in mind, that depending on things such as population size and education, demand for everything will still vary, and so, you can still have CS development with higher density R development, but there will be a stagnation if you don't really have education and some other services. It's a very interconnected web of things, so, focusing on one thing or another won't inherently improve or degrade your city, or your Sims interest in moving/working there, but it often relies on multiple moving parts.

1 pointMaybe... but I too had long suffered from this problem, until recently I found that one of the Maxis DLC packs (AirForceBase) adds a new instance of the Steam train, likely what you are seeing if you have that installed. After I dealt with that, I've not seen a Steam Engine since: z_Block_Maxis_SteamTrain_AirForceBase.dat

The Prospect Park Water Tower, nicknamed the Witch's Hat for its distinctive roof shape, is (true to its name) a water tower located in the Prospect Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Built in 1913, the tower stands approximately 110 feet tall on the top of one of the highest hills in the area, making it one of the most visible structures in the city. The tower ceased to hold water in 1952. This version sits on a 1x1 lot and provides 10,000 cu. m of water per month. FILE REINSTATED JAN 2021 THANKS TO NUMEROUS REQUESTS BY THE STEX COMMUNITY AND SPECIAL THANKS TO MATIAS93 FOR BRINGING BACK THIS FILE! ENJOY! Hey everyone! After 2 years of deciding the facade of this structure I've finally decided to keep it like this! This boxy structure was known as "Glesias Square" with tacky black grey glass, then became known as "Carmine Hilton Plaza" with blue green squared 90's looking glass... the structure finally under went a third and final makeover and is now known as the Linda Swampy Medical Centre! So with that being said... I am pleased to present to you the Linda Swampy Medical Centre! There are 3 lots that will define the structure... 1) Hospital Medical Centre! 2) High-tech Growable 3) & Last but not least... a high-tech ploppable known as Linda Swampy Pharmaceuticals! 4x4 Lot with no dependencies! What more can I say? (: Download the MAXIS NIGHT file if you do not have SimFox's Darknight installed in your plugins! Download the DARK NIGHT file if you have Dark Night installed! This pack contains warehouse and ancillary props, for use in Logistics Centres lots. There are twelve BATs in total, plus a special horizontal floodlight model (lightcone). Also contained, special timed props, textures, pathfiles and freight automata spawning scripts. The pack does not contain any lots. These had been released in the past as Warehouse BATProps Part A & B, but here are put together, along with objects previously included in my Logistics Centres Pack, all consolidated in a single dependency pack, available to lotmakers. With this new Version 2 the separate props (that do not need to be separate items)* and models and the textures have been consolidated into a single DAT; Cogeo_LCP_Warehouses_BATProps v2.dat The following list contains the singular DAT file that have been compiled into the new DAT file. You will also find a Cleanitol_Cogeo Logistics Centre Dependency Pack v2.txt, that helps you locate and remove the older files by using it with one of the available cleanitol tools (nos.17 SC4 Cleanitol or BSC Cleanitol): LCP_PropsAndTextures.dat LCP_Props_Consists_Jes.dat LCP_Props_DistributionTrucks_SC_SG.dat LCP_Props_ParkedTrucks_Jes.dat LCP_Props_SemiTrailers_SG_Jes.dat jestarr_AdditionalPropModels.SC4Model** WarehousesBATPropsPartA.dat WarehousesBATPropsPartB.dat * The files starting with LCP_Prop_##### (located in the Props folder) are designed to be selectable as they are in prop famillies. For further information see the readme about the install and configuration instructions (3. Customising the Lots' Appearance) of the Logistic Centres Lot Mega Pack. **Bear in mind that the jestarr_AdditionalPropModels.SC4Model file has been completely taken out, as the BSC MEGA Props JES vol01 V2 contains these props and models (and that is also an essential dependency of this Logistic Centre Dependency Pack - see dependencies below). Lotmakers may use these props in their lots, but not include (redistribute) the models in their plugins. Instead, they must point users to download the models from this page. Installation: Install: copy/extract the Cogeo parent folder into your plugins. If you extracted the ~Documents folder into your plugins, too, it's highly recommended to keep it, but move it out of the Plugins folder. If you have a left-hand driving installation (UK, Pacific) you must also install the UK Pathing Patch (included in this pack). You can find the z_LCP_UK_PathingPatch.dat file in the ~DocumentsUK_Pathing Patch folder. The ~Documents folder also contains a cleanitol file and prop/texture catalogue images. Credits: - Special thanks to Jestarr for the custom consist prop models. - Special thanks to Swamper77 for the automata-spawning scripts. - Many thanks to BarbyW for testing/evaluating this pack. I would like to thank 6459978., jasoncw, jestarr, johnb, scipio, sargeantcm, spa and trigger_tre for their BATting advice and the commenting/reviewing they have provided. Dependencies: While this is a dependency pack itself, some props use models made by SimGoober and Jestarr. This mod is an alternative to the game's default commercial Car Cluster prop that we see on virtually every parking lot of every lot in the game. This mod does not replace the game's props.... and in that sense, its actually more of a dependency file than a mod. But its mod-"ish"... so we're calling it one for marketing purposes because dependencies are a bore but mods are Ubber-Cool!! This new Car Cluster prop will be used in all future PEG lots... where appropriate. And it can be used to develop your own lots and by other lot developers who would like a bit more realism on their lots. Things I Don't Like About the Game's Car Cluster Prop: 1. The car models are pretty bland. (Old Now!) 2. The cars are under-scale. 3. Generally too sparse - not enough cars. 4. 8 to 5... then POOF! Nothing. Empty lot for the next 15 hours. Things I Do Like About the This Car Cluster Prop: 1. The cars are more detailed with a variety of unique and classic cars tossed in. 2. The cars are slightly larger to better match the scale of people props and properly scaled structures. 3. Engineered to keep the parking lots fuller... longer. 4. At the end of the day, they usually leave one or two cars behind to represent that occasional dead battery or the guy working late to kiss ass for that raise. 5. Cars not parked by robots. The cars are not perfectly aligned and some are parked off-center & slightly angled... as we see far too often in the real world. 6. Its expandable. New add-on clusters can easily be added for even greater variety. * The main motivation for this was to increase the scale of the cars so they wouldn't make structures and other props appear too large in comparison. Really large buildings need to be scaled down... and for those, the game default cars are a good fit. But when parked next to a smaller building or anywhere near people props, they look like little clown cars and make everything else appear over-scaled. ** This file has no dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -

Languedoc is a southern France area corresponding to the coastal plain between Spain and Rhône. Soils are mainly made of calcar and clay : traditional houses have therefore light grey walls and red roofs. Nowadays, houses are made of concrete, but walls keep their bright colors, in order to fight against summer's heat and sun. The houses contained in this file are common in every village and small towns in Languedoc. -

Brighten up any neighborhood with these new Multi-Coloured Prefab Terraced houses. These modern homes are rather spacious inside and are ideal for young sim families. There is variety in colour schemes and building style as you can see. Includes Custom query with help from Simgoober. These certainly brighten up neighborhoods from all the old bland houses, but are also aesthetic if they make pop up in rows. The set contains 5 different house styles from which you can choose to put in your game if you don't like a couple. It contains BOTH Growable and Plopable lots. The plopable being just landmark lots for eye cany. The Growables are 1x3 growth stage 3 lots, i have forgotton how many residents they hold at the moment, but will update when i find it out. ENJOY! To Install: If you want all of the building styles and colours simply copy all files in the .zip into your simcity4/plugins folder, the plopable version is in a seperate folder named 'model landmarks' if you want these copy these as well. If you only want a selection or one of the houses copy the .sc4model/.sc4desc/.sc4lot from the ones you want (their colour is in the name) and also copy the UI-residential-havoc.DAT file into your simcity4/plugins folder.
