Oh... well hi. I'm Nextel97. If you can't tell, I am a NASCAR fan (no hate please. ;-).

I've used and followed Simtropolis off and on for two or three years, and the announcement at E3 about SimCity (2013) pushed me to finally join this community. Hope ya don't mind, but I can be a bit of a hardhead. I'm big into modding games, but I often wind up breaking the game when I try to mod it myself. And lastly, I hope I can fit right in and not cause to much trouble.

I'm a Tech Specialist at OfficeMax and have been playing since the first SimCity, loved SC 2000, never played SC 3000, but very much enjoying SC 4. A little difficult, but the many mods help a lot. newbie to Simcity 4 here, although I'm an old time RTS player, 20 year old college student, 3 more months until I can go to the bar.... xD

Simcity 4's the first in the series that I'm playing, but I played Starcraft, Starcraft 2, Age of Empires 1/2/3, Empire Earth 1/2, Civilization 4, Sins of a Solar Empire.

Currently really into Minecraft and a few MMO's, and SC4

Got hold of the game and had a brief, rather failed attempt at setting up a basic town. Seems very challenging but very interesting game and im looking forward to getting into it.

Hello Simtropolis!

Im Matt! I'm 28 and Ive been playing SimCity for god knows how long now. Always had a copy installed on the computer, but started out back on the old SNES. Been on SimCity4 for past however many years now. Only ever really used this site to download the odd building and such. However, with SC5 coming out, I thought since I will most likley be addicted to it for a good while once I get a copy, I might want to become active on the forums here in case I need some help and to read up on tip's and all that

I don't think I've ever been this stoked on a game coming out!

Hope to meet some of you around the forums!

@Jimbob - We all look forward to SC5 but there are still much ironing to do. Right now, It does not look good with the online-only requirement.

@Matt - Well, like what I said above, there is still much ironing to do.

Well, you can check out the Omnibus for the latest articles and news, why not also check out the latest news on Home Page of the site? Also, try the STEX (if you do have SC4 or CXL 2012, try out some BAT (the buildings) and mods such as the NAM). Then, pass by Live Chat if you do need help. Have fun at Simtropolis!

Hello everyone!

After being a fan of SC3000 about 6? 7? years ago, I was so excited when I stumbled upon SC4 in Hastings The game is giving me a huge world of entertainment for summer break - I'm a 20 year old college student. I love lurking through everyone's city journals and the forums looking for inspiration. I'm not too big on custom content at the moment - I'm still perfecting my city building/layout skills, and I don't want to take up valuable space on my laptop and slow down game speed unless I know I MUST have something. Thanks for this cool community!

I simply go by Cascade for short, or whatever you can think of for a nickname I'm from no surprise, Cascadia, aka the Pacific Northwest. I'm an avid Seattle Sounders supporter, and member of the Emerald City Supporters. Eternal Blue, Forever Green xD Also I'm a new member of a project created by some midwestern called the "Nova Project" I was able to pick up a defunct CJ from saathoff called Cascadia there which fits me perfect! xD and I was also made an admin since it's a new project. I also got tons of goodies, like .psds to use. xD It's gonna be a good time.
