Hi, i'm from Brazil. Since a log time ago i've been playing other simulations games. Actualy i'm 25 years old and i'm studying Architecture & Urbanism. This month i'm missing so much sim city and restart to play. I'm amazed at the amount of people still playing it. So i decided to post here and introduce myself.

Hi, I just got a name change, and I'm 'sorta' new here.

I've made this account with a shitty name a while ago just for the downloads and a few forum posts and I thought it'd be nice to come back and say hello

Bit about myself:

Male, 16 years old as of now, Dutchie. I've been a SimCity fan since SC2000, loved SC3000 then lost it and found it back just after I bought SC4 in 2004

Games I like: Simcity, The Sims 3(I'm a moderator of the largest Dutch Sims 3 fansite/forum) and other simulation/RTS games like Transport Tycoon, Anno 1404/Dawn of Discovery. I also play the best war-themed hat simulator, TF2. Oh, and Minekraft.

Interests: Science(astrophysics, chemistry(I make green powder @ home)), collecting rocks & minerals, high voltage(I regularly pull the plugs because a transformer pulls 30 amps :S) and low-volts high-amps.

Music I like: Pretty much everything, although I mainly listen to Finnish folk/viking metal, bands like Korpiklaani, Amorphis, Moonsorrow, Turisas, Finntroll. More bands I like: Dr. Steel(industrial hip-hop opera), Scott Joplin(ragtime piano), Queen(rock), Jethro Tull(Undefined kind of rock), The Beatles, Muse, Voltaire, André Rieu, etc.

Hope that says enough of me, although I'm sure at least one reader thinks 'Oh, worldwall. Nope.'

....I noticed I never introduced myself. Wow. How rude. Sooo what to say, I live in France, and Simcity 4 is so far the game I've played the longest without really quitting .... 6 years, 7 years or so? I also enjoy transit simulation games (Cities in Motion..), driving simulators ( a lot), and a lot of things city related.

And iRL I'm a 19 years old female with a twisted past who spends time either working or geeking (I heard I was caught sleeping by times, well, don't remember).

And I joined Simtropolis a while back, just began not that long ago to post ._.

I'm from England, but was born in Seattle and currently am at university at Washington State Uni 5 hours east of Seattle. I'm a freshman but aiming to studying civil engineering and later will get a masters degree in urban planning/design hoping to earn my degree at University of Copenhagen.

I've been on Simtropolis since 2008 even though it says I joined more recently, I had to create a new account since my other was deleted somehow. I would love to know how people create the things to use in SimCity that I find in Simtropolis exchange.

Greetings to all. I have recently registered here and thought it best to introduce myself before I go off posting in the other subforums…

I'm Kirkland, and I've been playing Sim City 4 since I got it for Christmas in 2005. Naturally, I got addicted to it and played quite often until my PC crashed a few years ago (do you know how disheartening it is when you suddenly have to accept that all your cities have gone kaput?!). So I took a big break from Sim City (and games in general) and led a dull and dreary life… until early this year when a mental Renaissance arose within the confines of my head and I purchased the Mac version of Sim City 4 Rush Hour for my new Mac! Nowadays I've been re-immersing myself into the world of Sim cities and I've had a lot of time to do so being cocooned up in my room with Crohn's Disease. City-building FTW!

And so you may ask how I managed to play Sim City for over half a decade without registering here for the hella awesome downloads and plugins and for talking in the forums. I've known this place has existed since probably 2006 or 2007, I just thought "oh pffft I can do without fancy cheats and fancy downloads". I preferred the authentic Sim City 4 experience, you see. But nowadays I've given in and I'm ready to figure out how to download stuff from STEX into my game (a brief walkthrough for Mac downloads would be greatly appreciated!) and post in the forums.

Believe me, new members bug me too, so to separate myself from this crowd I tried to make this post slightly wittier than I normally would to cover up my newbie-ness. Forgive my style.

TL;DR version: I'm a new member named Kirkland. I play the Mac version of Sim City 4 Rush Hour. Please let me know where I can get a guide on how to download stuff.

@Kirkland - Well, this is way more advanced the 2007 edition. These days BATs and Mods such as the NAM are very popular and cheats, well, they have been replaced by a single mod (You'll have to manually find it).

I heard your computer crashed. Make sure you back up your files so that in the future, just copy it and go back to playing!

II know that new members bug you because they ask too many questions per se, but the veteran members of the site (like Glenni, Yarahi or Jacksunny) or admins can help you because they answer questions.

Graphic designer from São Paulo, Brazil, and addicted to SC4/RH since the beggining but never gave too much atention to downloadable/customizable items.

Like Kirkland 22, I've liked SC4 "pure", but saw the amazing updates here and didn't get too much excited 'bout CSL 2012.

The one and only time that i tried to use a great upgrade for my SC, it simply doesn't started because was too heavy...

I can program HTML, XHTML, and I'm learning CSS.

I have a wide variety of interests, ranging from Legos to SC4 (obviously) to eating pie.

The only thing I dislike about Simtropolis is how slow it is (for me).

I registered in August but what the heck...I am 12 turning thirteen in mid january and live by the bay in Melbourne Australia (We have Kangaroos). I have a dream to become a NAM Member. I am probably one of if not the youngest on the site but I really dunno. I have heaps of free time to enjoy the game that is sc4 and I'm also over at sc4d.
