Good morning, as its morning here in Phoenix right now. I have never seen the Karate Kid Movies either. In fact, I've hardly seen any of the classics. All those animated Disney films - never saw 'em. My family thinks I'm deprived.

I'm glad i'm not the only one ppl look at funny when i tell them about not seeing the karate kid

Being across the pond from me i'm guessing you have no clue what a chip butty is? i'd be amazed if you did cos its a very brittish thing. Its chunky cut fries between bread & butter. but i dont understand whats so good about a chip sandwich?

the best sandwich filling is smoked chicken with bacon!!!!

I just wanted to Thank this entire community for the STEX and all the help. I've played "sims" for years. But, I recently obtained SC4, and even after a major crash of the game (including my saved files) of well over 450,000 Residents. I still re-installed and decided to give it another go.

Hey guys, Haven't really introduced myself here yet and so i shall do that now; i'm an ametuer sim city player, having got into the franchise from first playing simcity 2000 on the GBA. As some of you know, I'm currently making an automata mod. Also The content on the STEX is wounderful and has a lot of variety. I'm mainly a forum lurker and thus i don't really post much, although i may start a BAT thread after the somewhat icy reception of my first BAT.

Hey all,

Just introducing myself. Long time fan of the SimCity series - haven't played in years, although I wish to get serious as I've matured a lot since being a kid. I have a lot of creative potential waiting to be used, so your friendly guidance is greatly appreciated as I acclimate myself to the game again, along with all the plugins and other custom content available here.

I haven't quite found everything yet, perhaps I'll purchase the collectors' CD's to help the community out and hasten what I need to imrpove the game. The original game was quite disappointing, no?

Also, one last note, has anyone created weather in SimCity 4? I realize that it's possible in mods to create new tilesets, but I've always wanted to see my cities in the rain to add a touch of realism. If anyone could answer that particular point for me, that'd be great.

Well, there are a lot of Mods and BATs back at ST Exchange to guide you. You can also check out the forums for more ideas and fire you up back to playing SimCity 4.

The Original Game was not quite that disappointing, however, age sure does took a toll on the game. We are trying to improve the game so that it still feels new even though the game is half a decade old!

About the weather, unfortunately I haven't seen any mods like that. Most of the weather here is done by Photoshop or image editing programs.

Hi Simtropolis Citizens,

I'm a long time Sim City fan that decided to buy Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition after Black Friday in the Online Poker World. Living in San Francisco at the moment but grew up in San Jose California. SC4 goal, to build or download a realistic San Francisco environment.

Perhaps you can help? Looking to resolve EP1 Update build 638 (North America) where the installer states "Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match.". I'm running SC4 on Win 7 64bit Home Premium Ver 6.1 Build 7601. Uninstalled and re-installed SC4 multiple times, gave up on the no longer hosted patch from EA (found it on a mirror) so I proceeded with NAM. Next step is learning how to install custom architecture and hoping to find HP Pavilion home of the NHL San Jose Sharks.

For any problems with SC4, You should go to SC4 Are of the forums, where you find your answers about the EP1 Problem...

To install Custom Architecture (called BATs) you could place the file in the plug-ins folder and search the STEX to find the HP Pavilion there. If not found, you should request it at the BAT request thread.

Good evening everyone. I bought SimCity 3000 UK edition in a shop about six months ago because it was only £1.99, and I was immediately hooked. I recently got SimCity 4 because it was very cheap on Amazon, and it is even better. I was a bit overwhelmed by SC4, it's a lot different to SC3000. So after looking around the internet, I found this place, and it has really helped. I don't have Rush Hour yet, but it's on order, and I can't wait to get stuck in and hopefully make some cities which are as beautiful as some of the ones I've seen on here.

Don't worry, we've got it covered for you. Check out the Omnibus, where you can see a lot of tutorials in SC4. You can also check out the forums for any help regarding your SC4. Then, check out the ST EXchange, where you will find all sorts of stuff there. After you downloaded rush hour, why not check out and download the new NAM, which expands your entire transportation network. Finally, check out City Journals, where people share content that uses SimCity, CXL and others.

A Tip for you: Download 'Extra Cheats DLL' and when you download it (see file for more instructions), open it in the game, type Crtl-X then right click. Then click on 'Lot Plop' and voila! all buildings are there! Use this to create cities just like the ones in the CJ Section.
