Guess my resolution will be 'don't be lazy...'  

Or stop by and offer your new year wishes to friends in our wonderful community. 

You may even give new New Year's resolutions for 2026 if you are brave enough.

Don't worry, we won't judge you too harshly if you don't succeed in keeping them.

My resolution in terms of ST is...
To keep steering the ship forwards with Cori, adding new cool site things, patching up leaks, swatting bugs, and making sure ST keeps running as smooth as it can.

Thanks to all of you for making ST special in 2024. Whether you've made 1 post or 1,000+ posts this year, we're each part of this virtual city which is the Simtropolis community. There's been so many exciting developments this year in the custom content scene too. Here's to a happy and healthy and fun 2025!

Happy New Year Simtropolis! I am endlessly grateful for @Cyclone Boom and @CorinaMarie and the countless other moderators and players who keep this community moving forward! Not only are there new creations from skilled players always coming in, there is still new mod content coming out for SimCity 4, giving this legendary game a life far far longer than most other video games. I'm so grateful for that because no other city builder has even come close to making me as happy as SimCity 4. I'm really glad the game inspires you all to feel the same way.

I'm not really big on resolutions since I usually fail lol, but this year I'd like to remain consistent with playing and making progress on my CJ (no more year long gaps). IRL I would like to become more active again (I've struggled with this since covid), like when I used to climb mountains and go hiking. I don't like feeling like my adventuring days are behind me. So those are my resolutions, to get more active both IRL and to remain active with my CJ.

Happy New Year! In contrast (and in addition!) to the usual party atmosphere of this night I find it also to be a night of reflection on the year that's passed and contemplation on the year that's starting.  Although it's not much of a resolution I do mean to play this great game we call SC4 more this year, or at least more consistently.

Happy new year! Personally, I can't speak anything about me since (a) the plan is uncertain and (b) I want it that way. So don't ask me if I do this or will I accomplish my resolution. But for the entire SimCity 4 community, I hope that DLL modding will be more advanced and frees us from the shackle that's known as engine limitation. I really hope that @smf_16 and @memowill release that bridge mod asap. For @Ulisse Wolf, I also hope that CAM 2.5 will be released when it's ready. I wish more advancements in the community be them more dependencies being restored to Evermore, better Simtropolis UX, improvements to @memo's sc4pac, and better replacements to things like @Kel9509's Census Repository Facility. I also wish renewed staffing both in Evermore and here to reflect shifting focus of the community, maybe not this year, but couple years down the line (and yes, I'm aware @Tyberius06 has been custodian for a year now. Same goes to Ulisse et al.) Finally, I wish the community will be more active again. I missed Kloudkicker's and Raymond7 days where there's a couple posts every single day. Hopefully, @CorinaMarie, you'll able to revive at least close to those days. And, huge thanks to the community for supporting me for close to 8 years.

Also, I'm a bit lying about the 2nd sentence. I'll be 21 by April, old enough to legally buy boozes, tho I won't since I'm not alcoholic lol. I'm getting older now. So, I have a plan. You see, I'm just recently finished my semester final exam. And in the process, I'm taking break from any school activities. What I'll do now is to reducing frequencies of any social media, including Simtropolis (but excluding WhatsApp for obvious reason), to curb my digital addiction. Well, I don't have any issues with my mental health or anything. But it's nice to live a life without constant attention-seeking social media. I'm already don't do anything on my Instagram and TikTok since I don't have anything meaningful to be there. On the other hand, I'm still struggling with YouTube. I mean, YouTube is educational. But too much of a good thing is bad. So, again, nice to have that option and I'm proud of it. Don't worry guys, I will still be present here periodically. But, it won't be once every hour or something. It'll be like a few times a week, which isn't that far off from my current schedule. And yes, I won't participate in the lamp breaking contest anymore.

I do wish I can change my life. Hopefully, I can and if successful, I might share my experience here.

Happy New Year to all Simtropians! I look forward to seeing all of the new mods and BATs for SC4, along with more mods for SC2000 (hopefully!). I wonder how many neat things will be discovered this year, too.

As for my SimCity-related resolutions, I hope to continue my (slow) journey of getting into BAT-ing, along with making new art for SC2000 here and there.

I could simply wish you for a happy new year, but instead I'd rather encourage you to create the happy year you deserve to have. Making resolutions is good, but making them a reality is even better. And you don't have to wait for a specific day to make changes to your life. So, instead of "new year, new me", how about "new day, new me" any day? 

And speaking about resolutions, this year I'll try to find a better job, lose some weight, go back to my psychologist, and maybe complete my CJ. I already have material for 2 new entries and I'm working on the 3rd and the 4rth one right now.
Hmm, that's a nice resolution. Being busy on stuff I like
