I have a few non PLEX files that were forum attachments on SimPEG. PM me if you need them.

Thanks for that.    The priority at the moment are Pegasus own content files, then we will work through what else needs to be included.

Is there any hope for some of the forum content or is that all gone?

I know there was other stuff, but between Paeng's CJ and sub-forum are some real gems for users and budding modders alike that I would be saddened to think disappeared.

It seems that there is general agreement on saving as much as we can at this point, would it be OK in this instance for others to contribute files they may have downloaded if backups do not exist? If someone can get hold of Tarriel, I bet she has almost everything stashed away somewhere.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

Ah yes, Tariel's infamous 'squirrel cache'

Like craig said we'll deal with those little forum attachments later, but it would be good to have them now.  Paeng is still here and working with us behind the scenes.  I haven't asked him yet but he probably has all the stuff he attached.  Just to be safe if anyone has something, go ahead and PM it to either myself or Pegprod.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

PLEX on the STEX - Community Support

We are now in the process of moving all of Pegasus' legacy files to the new PLEX subsection on the STEX.

While Simpeg is now gone, and all files are now 'legacy' with no official support as such, there are still plenty of Simpeg members here at ST who will be able to help with support questions.

Please post support questions here, and with a little patience, someone will come along to help you out, generally within *two weeks.

*Two weeks was an often used in house Simpeg joke, if anyone asked when something was going to be released... as such we must maintain that tradition.

I'm guessing this won't be part of the downloaded files for CDK3 - if it is though, I have a complete set of them.

I've managed to find a Google Cached version [Link].

@‌ Craig, since you are here, I was hoping to get an answer to the question of non-Pegasus content from the old Plex and what will happen to it? Will the remainder of the files from the Plex make it to the STEX at some point or has there been a limit imposed on which creators content will be uploaded here? Whilst the stash of Pegasus stuff is really the main course, I'm sure we'd all prefer that served with the tasty gravy that made up the remainder of the Plexm especially seeing how many of such files were probably exclusive.

Well the answer is...  it depends.

Firstly it depends on the preference of the original third party creator and whether they uploaded their content to the STEX or not as well as the PLEX.    For example I have now moved all my own lots that relate directly to SPAM / MTP to the new PLEX.

The number of third party contributors to the PLEX at Simpeg was limited, and in most cases the content has been uploaded to the STEX already under their ST username.   We are in the process of checking with those creators, to see if they want directly related Pegasus content moved to the PLEX on the STEX, but in reality that only involves moving it from one sub-section of the STEX to another not actually re-uploading.

I did re-upload Becca's SPAM Irrigation canals, but this was a group project and directly related to SPAM in that case.

Where there are missing Pegasus files, (we are aware of a small number, but again, are in the process of checking), we will endeavour to track them down and reupload.

As for files like those in Paeng's 'Scrabble Box'... and other files attached to posts,   well again we may be able to find those again, but it will take time.     My MULE Utility files which were in beta have now been uploaded and released.

What would be helpful, is that if anyone becomes aware of something that is 'missing' then please do let us know and we will do our best to track it down or at least point them in the direction to where they can get it.

I think in this case I was specifically referring to the work by RebaLynn, for example all the LA River Project stuff. I'm really not sure if that's on the Stex or not for example. There are other creators who's work was on the main PLEX exchange too that I'm not sure if anyone has thought to attempt to preserve, hence mentioning it. I'm pretty sure for example that NBVC and SHK did release their work here on the STEX, but I wonder if some of the less obvious stuff might be missing?

As for the forum attachments, I can see how those may simply be gone unless the creators themselves kept a track of it all. It's a whole different kettle of fish since any chance of a even a simple list of what was there would be a nightmare. However, Paeng specifically had some real gems in terms of one-off relots and helpful little knick-naks, perhaps it would be possible to compile all these into one zip (at least those we can) and make it available. Not a perfect solution, but it would probably be the easiest way since such a thing could probably not be considered an official release?

I'm with rsc204 on this. I've got a few of Peg's one-off's lying around in the archive, can we get a communal drop-off point for these files?

This thread would work.   Just attach the file to a post with a description of what it is.

We can sort stuff from there.

Remember I uploaded the CATALOG list of what was on the PLEX when it went down over at CB

will check to see if I've got any of the forums attachments

I have a Question about a specific Mod, i came across this Thread and it stats that

1-   Refraining from using Pegasus CDK3-OWW2 lots (the beach resource file contains a couple of SSH files used by the other OWW2 lots). Wait Pegasus to release a patch to his package correcting the problem props.

Is this  one of the Files Mentioned and are they already updated to not cause problems? Would be a shame if i could not use these great beach Mods.

    Thx

    Mikey

I've been wondering the same thing as Mikey.  The same thread on SC4D also mentions an older version of the BDK (which is apparently the version on STEX) as being problematic.

I've also got a copy of Paeng's incinerator relot which I think was one of their one-off attachments in the forum (I was a lurker on PEG, still sad to see it gone).

EDIT:  Also, are there any good resources available for making sense of where to start with some of the many Pegasus projects?  I'd love to try some of the CDK stuff but there's a lot of acronyms being thrown around and I can't tell my CDK from my CSK.  What are the core files I need to start small and go from there?  And why are there some projects with different numbers, like CSK vs. CSK2 or OWW vs. OWW2?  (I know some of this is harder now because not everything seems to be on STEX but this was a problem I had with trying to get started with SPAM originally back when the PLEX still existed).

For example CDK3 is a newer version than CDK2. You could use both sets together, but usually where a version number changed they may not match in terms of style.

As for the other matter, you are on your own to make up your mind whether to install it or not.

Wow, a "drop box" of forum file attachments and other assorted "lost" files would be stellar.

Finding sundry items of add- ons,  and what not is like  Christmas morning toys.

    I would definitely be appreciative.

    Best,

I kinda gathered that higher numbers were newer versions with or without style changes, but I wasn't 100% sure since I only discovered the PLEX a year or two ago so finding everything all at once was a bit overwhelming.  And still is!  There's so much stuff to try and make sense of :)

As for the OWW2 and BDK.... the SC4D thread seemed to imply that there had been updated versions released on the PLEX a long while ago but they were never uploaded to the STEX.  It sounds like the versions currently on the STEX are the old version.  I was wondering if these lots/mods would ever be updated with the latest versions that were on the PLEX before it went down.

Hey Guys this is my first time posting here, so please go easy on me! haha

I've recently installed the SPAM mod and thought that i had all the props and textures but I'm getting a couple of brown boxes for the farm buildings. Other farms seem to be fine.

From what i can tell so far the affected farms are:

    1) Imori Lavender Farm

    2) Tenuta Wheat Farm

    3) Betanaia Fruit Farm

    4) Corte Medagled Oro Olive Farm (I think that's the name?)

Does anybody else have a similar issue? Is there anything obvious that i've probably missed?

Thanks for any help and keep up the awesome work

You just need to double-check the dependencies listed in the included readme file. The links won't be of much use, but certainly you must be missing at least one.

A user has asked where to find a file included in the CSK 2 Functional Small Port. I've done a quick search and it appears this file is not amongst the content hosted on the STEX. Therefore if I have permission I could attach this here, perhaps someone could add this?

    Hi everyone,

I'm new here and had a quick question. I have the CSK2 and I got the CSK2 variable width canals. It says that it has no dependencies,  but when it try to use them, there are only brown boxes. The regular size CSK lots work fine. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?
