I was suprised when i see the post that does not  contain any MMP work. :D Really, Whenever I saw a post from you, that has a lot of green, MMP work etc. not seen too much high buildings or modern-look cities.

In short, it looks as good as others.. Keep it up ^_^

Your city is amazing, I've been reviewing the last few pages... it's wonderful to see how you improve with every update.. I'm quite in love with your recent city.

I love the Bollinger Crater too.. the detail is great, must have taken ages to get that perfect.

    Replies:

Schriefer: Thank you, but I still believe there is room for improvement.

47ply: I have a lot of great plugins but there still many more out there which I haven't collected yet. Since I don't have the time to use the lot editor I must compensate by downloading a lot of plugins.

Schulmanator: Thanks. I managed to keep the building repetition to a minimum, but some of it was deliberate- like that row of three story houses. As for the ferris wheel, I'm not sure it would provide a great view towards the rest of Treblane since it is surrounded by many taller buildings.

Basilins: Actually I did sneak in some MMP work: just look at the ferris wheel or some of the green areas. While I do like the skyscrapers my creative interests with SC4 now tend towards developing countryside, building primary industry and sculpting out natural features.

    city89: Cheers!

Tonraq: There is still so much more to show and so much more to do, it's going to take me years to fill up this region.

Fox: I don't like repeating myself twice plus I'm on a quest to explore every possible usage for the vast array of SC4 plugins out there. Also thanks for the message and good luck with your AIN website.

slickbg56: The CBD area took about a dozen hours to get right and some things were utterly maddening during the construction phase: paeng's pedmall plazas, the placement of the river walls and of course levelling off areas.

Update 23: The canals and skyscrapers of Treblane's CBD part 2

Having shown the western half of Treblane's CBD, I present you to the eastern half which is far more denser and imposing. This side has no canals but it does contain some of Treblane's tallest skyscrapers.

In the next entry we'll travel to North Treblane, after that I'm going to show a more rural update where I experiment with waterfalls, land bridges and the woodland. Then the next couple of entries will cover the remainder of Treblane, while looking ahead I'm considering a town split by a river: with one side a mixture of urban wasteland and the urban jungle, and the other side agriculture and countryside.

There are other projects I want to explore to: a massive coal pit, the forestry industry, a hydroelectric power plant, a massive seaport complex and also a large limestone quarry. These will be covered sometime in next four or five months. I'm building up a wish list of ideas I want to explore with my extensive plugins folder.

Finally another idea that has been lurking around in my mind is a scaled down Los Angeles themed city: it would contain some of the famous landmarks, a simplified version of all those highways plus those flood canals. The genesis for this idea was seeing a lot of GTA V videos, and I realised Rockstar's method of mimicking of LA is the right way to go about this.

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Love it, especially the Bazzar Road! I nearly mistaken that by a riot...

I agree with Fox: I cannot wait to see what you have up your sleeve next. IMO, it would be nice if you could show at least a few night shots of your cities - an overall shot or one of the stadium lights, or any cool buildings, for example. Definitely a +1 still.

By the way, could you please point me to the item you are using for your ponds/lakes?

    Replies

Schriefer: I'm glad you liked it.

Tonraq: With enough mods you can kiss goodbye to the ugly duplication of vanilla SC4 buildings.

Fox: The waterfall entry will come immediately after this one.

Roman_Samudra: The bazaar roads are a great, but subtle, mod of nbvc's...

    Schulmantor: Thank you.

nos.17: I would post night pics but because I use fightthepower and only one power station (if that at times), not all of the street lights and the buildings light up in the night. If only there were a power mod which could greatly increase the capacity of a single power station; for I refuse to plop down multiple power stations as that would look hideous.

As for the water and lake mods, I use diggis ponds and streams. You can find his creations in the LEX.

    Vitor13: Thanks.

    Benedict: Good to hear it.

city89: That would be the CBT AON centre-

    Update 24:

After extensively touring around Treblane's CBD we move outwards and this time to the Northwest. In this entry there will be quite a few custom plazas, suburbs, retail estates and a few other special features...

    n38f.jpg

The area we will be inspecting today is to the left of the river.

    xu1p.jpg

This retail estate area was inspired after travelling down the Kingsway road in Gateshead's Team Valley Trading Estate. We're starting from its southern most tip.

    fpj1.jpg

    And moving North...

    hlc4.jpg

    8o5f.jpg

A great little find; the curved rail station.

    xdlw.jpg

There is a second curved train station, a more rural version, but it did not conform as well to the real railway wide 45 degree curve pieces.

    0fjp.jpg

    vcuc.jpg

    Good old garbage disposal stations.

    4fub.jpg

    I really love the cranes.

    pqet.jpg

Right now this is my favourite roundabout filler.

One final overview of Northwest Treblane, minus the CBD of course.

And finally here is a teaser shot for the next entry-

Treblane I really like, great city. The overall vision of the city of previous updates is awesome! In this last update there are some abandoned buildings but no matter, good job!

Looking great, you have kept progressing with every city. Two little things, perhaps too much repetition of some buildings and perhaps make sure that some buildings are dilapidated before you take images, apart from that, looking great
