that makes the rocks look weird, like they are crushed

ohoh, ... shuuush! Don't say anything, you wretch; no one had noticed any crushing!!

And seriously, if I just stick to my first observation, it's really not obvious. And the result is very very... very good!! And this crushing effect is a bit normal: you give your brain identical shadow (relief) information in vertical and projection! As a new observer (me here), focusing only on the SC4 "view", only see a rugged relief of rocks. In addition, the difference in light from the "base map" and that of SC4 (in your presentation here) can accentuate this impression (of crushing). My question would be: in the game, does such relief (shading) keep its "strength" in the 3 other orientations (east - south...)?!

What is good when you have nothing to say is that you can always pretend to listen. Anyway it does not prevent to think!

Playing around with a prototype that adds a 'chainsaw' mode to the bulldozer tool. In this mode it ignores all non-flora occupants when demolishing an area.

It should be possible to add filtering for various other occupant types, but flora was just the easiest to test. I currently have the chainsaw mode activate by pressing 'F' when the Bulldozer tool is active, you can also press 'N' to revert it to its original 'demolish everything' mode.

This has a tremendous potential!

It does remove flora in built lots as well? And does it distinguish between god mode flora and MMPs?

Most likely. The only thing it checks is the occupant type, filtering for any occupant that the game considers to be flora. I also don't think it distinguishes between God mode and Mayor mode flora. All the flora in that video is God mode, but I wouldn't expect there to be any difference in behavior as both should be considered flora occupants by the game.

I became bored with this model and put it on the backburner. I've since resurrected it and am working on a brick texture for it. The texture is a little too clean--needs a bit of dirtying. It's at about 50% currently.

Very strong lines and nice overall design, the windows and ledges already add much detail and interest to the facade.  Maybe some seams and weathering on the roof would move it much closer to being finished *:8)

Obviously when you have the olive fields, you also need and olive press facility for the olive oil extraction ...
So it made sense for me to create such a facility ...

Oh yes! This would allow me to clear all my wrongly timed seasonal woods.

I'll probably change the roof access building to something different. I don't think it fits well.

Suggesting ideas, typically on older industry buildings being renovated we would find that the roof items such as chimneys, roof access etc. were built during the masonry stage of the build and they would be made with the same masonry materials of the rest of the building, so brick in this case.  On new construction typically we see either a match to the type of siding material below or basically covered in roofing material.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.
