I tried putting this in the appropriate forum, but I get a freeze and timeout each time I try, to post it, even though I wait the required time. So I'm trying here.

I'm working to enlarge/make a bit realistic some railyard of mine and, having done so, I must re-TE the entrance, but I get an alert when I open the SC4 Tools.

(I recently changed my SC4 from disk for SC4 from Steam -- if it has any bearing on the problem)

Help ?

@Tariely, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling sc4tool as it is likely referencing something from the prior setup (although others may have a better way)

 

Going out at night in London taught me to put my wallet in the front rather than rear pocket of my jeans....ah, pickpockets....

For such a tiny building there is a mighty amount of roof-junk

Everything including the kitchen sink. It has a suitably London, but also international, vibe to it. I actually like the rest of the buildings on the street, so I am going to bat them + a little ped-mall complex

Is that generated by a registry entry? Check regedit and navigate to that key and change the value. My system shows it at 400...

er...it would certainly but you're talking to a computer ignoramuse, here. What is regedit ? Where does it live ? Does it like cats ? But seriously : how do I find this ?

Ok, best not to screw with the registry if you don't know what you're doing. If the app works, don't worry about the warning. Honest!

That's a shame, that was a good model. It is worth looking in C:\gmax\autoback at the autoback.gx files. The system typically stores 3 by default, it may be there, but if you have worked on something else afterwards, you may have over-written the entries. But if they are there, you can just open it in the Bat, save as and keep going....

Thanks @mattb325! One of my most memorable party happened there just a few months ago. One DJ (Ameile Lens) all night long set from 11PM to 8:15AM in the main room. It was awesome! And this is looking good so far! Awesome model!

Update on my CJ map - still not finished, but I got my second major city station and its surrounding stations complete plus worked on some more stations to the south-east. It's maybe 50 per cent done. As a rough guide, bolder bigger font stations = interchange hub, bolder bigger font plus blue highlight = major interchange. Grey lines are ones which only run during sporting or cultural events, or in the event of a track fault or maintenance.

I think another entry should be coming within the next week; I've been working on suburbs and low-medium density commuter towns to try and make up for the mega-density in the city core.

In the last months I had a big problem with SimCity 4... for some reason when one of my medium tiles had a polution over 80k  inhabitants the game became impossible to play...I was not even able to save cities, every time I tried to save a city I just got crash to desktop... I'm going to cross my fingers but it seems that this is solved and I will be able to continue growing Saitama.

@EvansRE4 Neat approach with using the corner of the city district, the same with the bridge design! Also, are those rivers from a published mad or self-made? I'm really liking their natural look.

 

There's a thrilling story associated to the ongoing expansion of the landmass of the Kingdom of Rota in the making, which will explain in-universe what's happening with the Kingdom and its neighbors in the present day. One of the involved places will be this picturesque town:
