I've made a start on these couple of taller CS$$-style hotels in New York.

 

In reality, they are W2W with 30 story blank walls on either side (yuck), but I am going to release them separately to work as either stand-alone or W2W tall buildings, so I will bat windows on the sides...

I won't be including the pedestrians wearing fake (at least I hope they're fake?) fur coats, though

Like in real life! Freeways necessarily occupy a lot of space to provide sufficiently smooth curves and grades to maintain fast driving conditions, even with super compact geometric designs. But even then, Haljackey appears to be generous with the space provided to the simpler interchanges, likely with the intention of upgrading them to beefy designs once the region develops sufficiently.

Thanks boombox gamer, I might come knocking . It can be tricky with the SC4 16x16m grid as most real world buildings are not in those multiples.

No matter, I just adjust/make things up as I go along. For instance the Hilton Garden Inn is approx 25m wide, so I can't fit it on either a 1 tile or 2 tile lot if I want it to be W2W compatible, so I have made it 32m wide.

 

The one next to it (the Hampton Inn) I'll scale down to 16m so it can be 1 tile wide.....the joys of the grid.

Fortunately, with this kind of building it's not like you totally destroy the carefully planned proportions and ruin the overall appearance by making the building somewhat wider or narrower.   I guess aesthetics never were the primary factor in their design...

@T wrecks, these 'masterpieces' of hotel design are in fact just a bunch of bed bugs corralled into structural shapes...

@Nycsc4, it looks good as a roundabout filler. 

 

Made a start on the second one of this ugly pair  , it's not going to be a strict recreation.
