Interesting... I just had fish earlier today!

Not quite as big as that one fish, though.

Also graduated today.

Can't wait for more!

WOO HOO!!!!

*image removed to avoid cluttering up the board*

Concatulations!  You worked hard and you are prepared for anything!  Proud of you.

Now I just need to find a job...

On top of another great update, Lyoko graduates!  Good news all around!

*Lyhoko ... the first 'o' is long. (Yes, that's what that h means, there is no h sound involved.)

Yuuko will be happy with the chocolate... but where's the waffles?

    The Wirdleplex: Wild Kingdom

Les Fleurs National Park is comprised of several uninhabited barrier islands off of the Wirdleplex coast in the Schulmanic Ocean, well to the south and east of major development in Schulmania. Due to its remote location and lack of amenities (there's not even a gift shop... just the park office and a litterbox facility) there's plenty of wildlife and not a lot of visitors. The wildlife is OK with the lack of visitors...

Let's see what critters we find in the park today. Of course, the photos of the critters are in the national park. No one would ever suspect that they are critters which were in my driveway...

There is a little terror that likes to hang out in my yard of all places. All the neighbors fear this beast and the children scream when this little monster approaches. It's amazing that a little pug/pomeranian/chihuahua could instill so much fear in the neighborhood

The only thing of note that I've seen outside nearby recently is a rabbit skeleton under a bush.

Is this near the leech area?

We have huntsman spiders, 'palmetto bugs' (ahem, that is GIANT FLYING COCKROACHES), a particularly large and horrifying version of ye olde centipede, rhino beetles, stag beetles, salamanders (that probably get eaten by the spiders and centipedes), monkeys (Japanese macaques, and I so wish I was joking), wild boar, cranes, Japanese giant hornets, and a variety of small snakes.  The green mountains of Izu house many things both adorable and absolutely terrifying.  I've come to appreciate the spiders and centipedes for killing such vermin as the giant flying roaches, though.  I'll never kill another huntsman spider again.  I've actually seen everything around my apartment with the exception of the boar, and if I ever have my phone at the ready I'll try to get some action shots of these horrors.

We had the Palmetto bugs in Central Florida where I lived.  They were awesomely huge! The sand fleas were no joke either.  The mosquitoes had blood running down anyone's legs and arms in no time flat.  There were BIG.

South Wirdleonia: Pineapple Under The Sea

Belva Dear, an unincorporated farming community in South Wirdleonia, has a new crop in town. Tuna magnate Sorry Charlie bought the old Jackson farmstead. But, he had no interest in growing corn. I mean, what cat does? So, he wanted to bring something new and exciting to the feline palate.

    gallery_starkist.jpg
Charlie's Under The Sea Tuna is the #1 brand in the country. No party is complete without a tray of fresh tuna ready for consumption. What will he bring to the agricultural world?

Charlie things Under The Sea brands can expand into other markets thanks to his clever marketing strategies and strong brand name recognition. The first step was to rename the old Jackson place as Under The Sea Farms, Inc. and digging up all of that corn. Bonus: free corn - first come, first served! And what will take its place... ready to take Schulmania by storm?

    You guessed it:

    pineapple.jpg
    PINEAPPLE!

Welcome to the home of Pineapple Under The Sea, Schulmania's first pineapple ranch!

    pina4_zpscf6259a4.jpg
The farm features a pineapple processing plant, pineapple cannery and storage and a workshop for pineapple artisans. There's nothing pineapple these folks can't do!

They're making pineapple ice cream today. Want some?

    pina1_zpscb894e0b.jpg
Let's visit the artisans' workshop. If you thought you'd seen cool pineapple art before - you were wrong! Oh so wrong! Like totally WRONG-O! Just you wait and see what they have prepared to dazzle eager feline consumers!

    pina3_zps964eedf1.jpg
Famed pineapple sculptors Patric Etoile and Robert Cubetrousers were hired away from the Crabpatty Art Institute to lead a team of enthusiastic apprentices. I am sure their work will delight AND inspire!

    pina6_zps669647f7.jpg
All of this is making me thirsty for pineapple juice. You can get it fresh from the cannery where there is a gift shop. All bottles and jugs are 50% off retail everyday!

    pina9_zps329a7d54.jpg
Let's venture into the workshop to see what our artisans have created today...

    pineapple1_zpsbebc9e30.jpg
This will certainly increase feline interest in pineapple!

And yet, none of the pineapple is actually under the sea... but some is under a building.

Also, try not to let the pineapple eat you!

    Cawalia: Brick City

The Cawalia District hosts several towns and is bisected by a large, strategic body of water. The seat of the district government is Brick City, a town whose origins far predate Schulmania and reach back close to the very dawn of time itself. Long, long ago in the days before the birth of the Supreme Wirdle, humanoids and felines shared a world with only the most tangential of interactions between them. It was almost like the humanoids were so self absorbed in their own world that they failed to recognize the supremacy of the feline world. Into this world stepped Saints Francis and Flora, the cats who domesticated the humans and trained them to obey felines.

    Franciflora_zps07bc5b2a.jpg
During this domestication period, Schulmania's ruling dynasty was established. The nimble Francis and Flora, children of Chancellor Mooky, founder of the dynasty, required proper facilities for a domesticated species like humanoids. Chancellor Mooky and Queen Vera helped to build this very first city; a brick city.

    BrickCityBricks_zps897eb7c9.jpg
A town, then two or three, sprang up as training centers where humanoids began the laborious process of learning to admire and service the felines who chose to allow them to be in their furry presence.

    Site 3

The actual original training center towns have long ago crumbled back in to the dust from which they sprang, leaving only traces of their former glory. Humanoids have decided to recreate one of these sites as a tribute to the greatest event in human history - being domesticated by felines. After all, since the advent of domestication, humans have certainly improved their lot quite a bit. One of the most recent human activities used to extol the virtues of their feline companions is this newfangled thing called an "internet". The purpose of this internet is to allow humanoids to immerse themselves in cat videos and cat memes.  Sometimes they email them too. And once in a while some work is done But, it is all about cats. Then again, isn't everything?

Let us now explore the new Brick City, capital of the Cawalia District of Mookimia. As you might imagine, the buildings in the city feature a copious amount of bricks. This new Brick City resonates with the ancient past; serving as a tangible reminder of the grand plans of our furfathers oh so many years ago.

    Welcome to Brick City!

    CawaliaDistGovt_zps9f384cc6.jpg
The Cawalia District Government House (in brick, of course) is the largest building in town

    brick3_zps9e69e8c2.jpg
Plenty of businesses serve the town -- all with brick facades -- including Big Nick's House of Bricks and Reece's Peanut Butter Cats. I Drew U Caricatures & More and of course Cameron's Cameras (which is not a big green building!) are all busy shops here in the heart of town.

    brick1_zpsdf128e4d.jpg
Offices employ many residents as well. Here in the corner building the top 2 floors are leased to Country Gold, Inc. (CGI). CGI houses office suites for many entrepreneurs who have started their own businesses. Some of the CGI businesses include Patsy Cline's I Fall to Pieces Repair Service, Roy Acuff's Wabash Cannonballs & Armaments, Tammy Wynette's Stand By Your Man Wedding Chapel, Johnny Cash's Rings of Fire Jewelry Store, Loretta Lynn's Coal Mine Consultants, Porter Waggoner's Rhinestone Apparel Outlet and many more!

    brick4_zps8de649b5.jpg
Brick City School serves the educational needs of the community. The school's sports team - The Masons - gets the town excited. When someone yells "BRICK!!!!" at a basketball game, the home team cheers! The teachers live in the brown brick terraces to the left of the school. The school provides the free homes to teachers to show their appreciation for their hard work and dedication. And, forget apples... these kids bring tuna for their kitty teachers! OM NOM NOM!

    brick5_zps4dc363d1.jpg
Brick City's house of worship is located next to the lovely corner brick building housing the Gingerlich Condos. Both were designed by renowned brick architect Jonah Whalebelly. For some reason, only people whose names begin with J live in the condo.

    brick6_zpsbcebd8c3.jpg
On this brick building lined street we see the Chicken King at the far right and many stately brick homes. The town's parks consist mostly of landscaped brick plazas. The landscape design was by the famed firm of ABC Landscaping (owned and operated by the three partners - Adam, Brennan and Carter - and winners of the 2014 Brickscaping Award from Cat Head Magazine).

    brick8_zps5c9f847e.jpg
Shops and homes have plenty of greens pace around them; it is not all about bricks. The local branch of Feline National Bank is convenient for residents and businesses alike.

    brick9_zpsd707a720.jpg
The Sullivan Brick Institute trains brickmasons and conducts scientific research related to bricks and construction. If you are looking for high tech, newfangled bricks then the SBI is the place to go! They just invented bricks for lefties! Wow... that's progress!

    brick10_zps35e67115.jpg
Manufacturers and warehouses are close to the waterfront. The custom signage shop of Deon's Neons is one of the tenants at the warehouses, as are Justin Time Clocks, Kilopasquale Pressure Gauges & More as well as Rob's Discount Hockey Sticks.

    brick11_zpsd8cb0a64.jpg
Enjoy your visit to Brick City, Granddaddy of them all!
