Animated horse-drawn carriage automata Pack 1  1.1.0

About This File

After countless weeks of work and many more headaches, here are the first horse-drawn carriage automata ever made for this wonderful game.
This pack consists of 20 Victorian carriages that will replace as many Maxis cars in roaming your cities, namely 13 Brougham, 2 Rockaway, 3 Stanhope, and 2 Victoria carriages. The best part is that they come with animated horses and most are trailer sets, so the front and back wheels move independently.

The download also contains the file "MaxisCarsSuppressor_optional", which allows you to suppress most of the remaining Maxis cars; but if you don't mind having both cars and carriages in your streets at the same time, just delete that file.

I owe a HUUUGE thank you to @rivit for his generous and extensive help in getting the modding to work. It took a considerable amount of experimentation to find the right positioning and rules, and this pack wouldn't be here without rivit's amazing help.

I plan on making more packs in the future, with different types of carriages that will eventually override all Maxis cars. It may take some time though,  meanwhile hope you enjoy your chunk of Victorian traffic, whoa, whoa!

Corrected a couple of minor glitches in the Stanhope carriages that had escaped my last check.

These are a perfect game changer. Now I can create my cities in ancient times and the automata fits the era. *:)

The automatas are just awesome. I hope that still comes as a replacement for trucks. And one for the fire department. And a sidewalk mod that replaces the parked cars with wagons and carriages. Then you can finally build a real victorian city.

Awesome job..... :-) Thanks

Woooow. This is something fun and unique. I can imagine the old w2w city centers with the narrow alleys and cobblestone streets with these automatas. Very nice addition! Amazing!

Thanks for sharing it!

This is amazing! It's rare to see many automata mods anymore, and it's nothing short of revolutionary. I would have never imagined anyone could make actual carriages in SimCity 4, and it's a complete game changer for players wishing to create historical and retro style cities. Not only are the automata themselves of incredible quality and detail, they add fun new possibilities to the game itself.

In terms of actual technical achievement, I don't feel like it's much of an exaggeration to say that this is possably the most impressive automata mod in SimCity 4's 16 year long history. It honestly makes me wonder what else might be possible in terms of automata mods.

This is really cool. Where I live, people can use horse drawn carriages as a way to tour the downtown area and it's awesome to have that for SC4 as well.

This is an amazing mod. Yesterday i'd just asked myself ,,What about horse drawn wagons? Will someone ever create a mod like that?" A few hours later: Someone presents it. That is wonderful! :D

Awesome sauce! This will come in SO useful for players who want to create historical scenes such as the USA or Europe before the 20th century- before automation and the car!

Awesome idea!  Will this completely replace cars as I would only want some of these to appear on the streets but not replace cars in the game.  Please let me know when you have a moment.  Thanks!    Great work!!!
