About This File

101 Collins Street is a 260-metre skyscraper located in Melbourne, Australia. The 57 story building was completed in 1991.
 
The tower is currently the 4th tallest building in Australia and the 125th tallest building in the world when measured up to the tallest architectural point which is the 60 metre tall spire. (source: Wikipedia)

This is version 2 of my sixth BAT.

This version fixes issues identified with the modding and scale, with an entirely newly created and improved model, textures and nightlights.

****Please note, on 13/11/2013 I re-uploaded new Non-diagonal models as there was a rendering issue in the night views where the model looked like it was sinking into the ground at one end. I have not fixed the diagonal versions as I couldn't tell if there was an issue with those. If someone can let me know I will update those files as well.****

101 Collins Street is made available in the following versions (25.09.2023 - Essentials update made by Tyberius06; most of the stats have been updated by X-Tool):

Non-Functional Landmark. Lot size 4x6.

DEPENDENCIES

The Dark Nite version requires SimFox_Day_n_Nite_Modd.

Instructions:

Copy/Extract the RedDonQuixote parent folder into your plugins. If you extracted the _Documents folder into your plugins, too, it's highly recommended to keep it, but move it out of the Plugins folder to a safe location.
This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite (DN Models) users and one for the standard Maxis nite (MN Models). Choose only one of them, remove the other. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version.

Update: 26.09.2023

Following a report in the CFI thread about the missing growable building exemplar this upload received essential updates. All files have been updated by SC4PIM-X (X-Tool) and cleaned up from unnecessary properties and files. Please see the attached cleanitol files in the _Documents folders in each ZIP. The readmes have been updated too. 

The download button now contains only two ZIPs:

  • RDQ 101 Collins Street v2.zip - contains both the Maxis Night and Dark Night models; CHOOSE ONLY one of them after installling
  • RDQ 101 Collins Street DIAG v2.zip - contains both the Maxis Night and Dark Night models; CHOOSE ONLY one of them after installling

Nice work on this , and thank you for making both Maxis and Darknite versions as well is making diagonals

There is a render overlapping at night, the lights doesn't fit with the building. I have downloaded the darknite version, it's like the light is sink into the ground a little bit, please check.

Thanks Mister-La Te, It took me a while to work out what the issue was and I have now fixed it for the non-diagonal versions only.

 

I couldn't get the diagonal versions to light up at night for a test, but if anyone has managed to get them to light up and there is a rendering problem please let me know and I will render new versions of these as well.
