Hello again fellow Mayors. So, I'm still playing around with NAM39 just trying to get to grips with the basics and learn/experiment. I have just spent around the last hour (maybe 2) studying the NAM documentation and decided to try a few things that I had been reading about and came across this... I have the LHD NAM fully installed (with the exception of the Canal Add On) and was trying the "Semi Automatic Road Turn Lanes" and the "Fully Automatic Avenue Turn Lanes". Now, if I remember correctly from reading the documentation, these are old features so I'm not expecting a solution but I thought that I post here in case I was doing something wrong... As you can see from the screenshot, the road/road is correct but the ave/ave has the turn lanes on the incorrect side....? Many thanks in advance peeps. P.S. Is there anyway to preview a post before submitting it?

Hi everybody. This is probably an old question but I can't find the answer. After years away from the game I have returned to it now I have more time on my hands. Unfortunately I could not load my original disc version so I purchased a version from GOG. I have installed NAM and I installed MandelSoft StoplightReplacement, choosing LHD. I ran the languages setup and chose UKEnglish. But even though the turning lanes etc are showing on the correct side (Left), the traffic signals are on the wrong side. I read somewhere about changing regedit, but it was an old post and obviously doesn't suit Windows 10 because I cannot find what I was supposed to find in regedit. Can anybody help me?

Cars driving on the wrong side of the road
HayleyRenaNemeth posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
So my regions are Left hand Drive, and I've recently migrated to the steam version after my CD version stopped working. I first installed NAM on my Windows 10 PC on the steam version , and I selected LHD when setting up NAM but when I launched the game they were still driving on the right. I reinstalled the NAM and still same thing. Then I went to my other computer which has my region I've been playing on for 4 years and despite having NAM already installed with LHD set. That one is now RHD. I need Left Hand Drive to work because my regions are dependant on it. Why are my settings getting overridden. -
Version 1.0

Contains 20 lots meant to be placed roadside to add realistic (and HD) parking to your cities. Both LHD and RHD are supported. It's pretty obvious, but you should only install one set based on your current driving side. If you don't, the exemplars will conflict and you will end up with LHD lots. Special thanks go to @vortext and @kingofsimcity for allowing me to use their amazing textures, and to @rsc204 for the acronym inspiration. ------------------ Dependencies: ------------------ Neko Props Set 1 (part 1) & (part 2) nos.17 Essentials (V09 or newer) VIP Car pack vol 1 & 2 VIP Car pack vol 3 UrbanPack vol.1 MS_Motokloss_60s-70s_CarProps MS_MotoklossSolarisBus_PROPS1 R6_Prop Pack 2010_Vol1 SHK Parking Pack ------- Links: ------- For help/feedback/suggestions A Compendium of Creations nos.17 @ Simtropolis nos.17 @ SC4Devotion And above all... have fun! nos.17 Update Jan 15 2022: Update dependency links to Neko Prop packs -
Sorry for the painfully stupid question here. Just did a fresh install, with fresh plugins, and was thinking if it'd be worth switching over to LHD (as I'm from Australia and we drive on the left here). So I was wondering if anyone out there who uses LHD in their regions, have you come across any plugins you've installed that came into conflict with it? I have no idea how the game mechanics of this works, so sorry if this question is stupid. Thanks in advance.

The Long-Awaited (Yeah, Right) Update II - Man With A Plan
Lordyboy96 posted a City Journal entry in SC4 Capitol River Region
Hello everyone, and welcome to part... 2 of the Capitol River Region (intro definitely not stolen from a certain SC4 Youtube Series ). Sorry for the long wait, I have many excuses I can drop for the long break, but I think I'll stick with RL and waiting for NAM 32 to be released proper (I had some visual issues with the pre-release and so didn't really want to show any dodgy images). Anyway, the main thing I needed after the initial dialling in and placement of trees and stuff, was a plan. In the past I've rarely used one of these, since I've felt more comfortable just doing what I want and seeing what happens, but in my last region I found this led to some logistical issues when I started to grow out my towns. So, this time I made a quick one using inkscape: Yellow and blue Lines are major highways, green and blue are less major routes (i.e. not all interchanges will be grade separated), the white and grey dashed line shows the rail routes, and the different shaded circles are where I'm planning on the settlements being. This is very rough and subject (hell, I've already broken bits of it), but should give an idea of where I'm going with this. So far, I have pretty much all of the southern infrastructure done, so here are some pictures of the more interesting bits of that: Up first is the intersection connecting the main highway south with the main city's ring road and the inner-city motorway (I really need to think of names for stuff for the next part, description is hard). I guess it's a partially unravelled cloverleaf, but don't quote me on that. The actual design was borrowed from the Show Us Your... Interchanges thread, which I then converted into LHD. We also have something on the smaller side, a fairly compact trumpet interchange next to the rural settlement (which I have started some work on) in the South-East of the region. Some of the bends are a little tight, but I figure traffic use will be light and so a sprawling, high-quality interchange is unnecessary. We also have a picture of the two bridges crossing the river just to the West of the first interchange. Not much to say about this, I really just thought it looked semi-interesting and was concious of how little I actually have to show thus far I guess I may as well chuck in a region shot to show the progress across the region as well. Well, see you next time guys, and hopefully much sooner Cheers Lordyboy -
Rail Crossing Markings & Gates Not Correct in LHD
ausa07 posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I have recently decided to switch my game from RHD to LHD (as I live in a LHD country) and I have been running into a multitude of problems since then. One issue I noticed is that the markings and gates at rail crossings are not where they should be (setup for RHD instead of LHD). I have the LHD version of NAM 31.2 as well as the LHD version of Modular RR Crossing Props - Phase 1 by Jondor installed. I also use Euro textures + Australian textures for NWM. My question is... is this a issue with NAM or an issue with Jondor's RR crossing props or the game itself (I have the Steam version and force LHD using a command prompt...) and is there any fix? Gates and/or markings are incorrect on the following crossings: Road Crossings All NWM crossings -
Switching Driving Side on Steam Version of SC4
ausa07 posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I've always been able to switch my driving side on my disc version of SC4 but that method doesn't work for the Steam version. Is there anyway to do it for the Steam version? Forgive me if this has already been answered but after all the searching I've done I cannot find an answer. I only found one response on reddit regarding this, which someone said to enter -1:"UK English" into the parameters for startup (which I did and it did not work). If it helps I use the SimCity 4 Launcher. Considering I live in Australia I would have thought that Steam would download a UK version instead of a US version... but that wasn't the case. Therefore my game is RHD whereas I would like it to be LHD. Any help would be appreciated -
Changing NAM from LHD to RHD - Should I uninstall it?
grstudios posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hi everybody, Since 2004, when I bought SC4, i've been playing it on left hand drive. (a weird thing, because in Israel we drive on the right... Must be due to that it's the euro version) In the past two years I got back into playing and for the last few months I downloaded many lots, BATs etc. and of course learned about the option of cahnging the driving direction to my likings. At last, after many deliberations - I finally made the move! But now I have a new issue: What to do with NAM? Should I uninstall it as whole? Should I delete LHD-related files only? I have to say that in times like these it's better to turn to professionals than do it yourself.. So, I hand the topic to you, hoping for an answer. Thanks, Guy
