I have been trying to work with NAM RealHighway Intersections but, I found them to be very time consuming and most of the times I gave up. Finally, I decided to create a simple Cloverleaf Interchange which I think, turned out to be not bad at all and quite easy to construct. So, let's get down to it. We will be constructing the interchange below 50 X 50 tiles: Step 1. Build a straight RealHighway (RH) of about 60-70 tiles long. I used the 8-lane RH8-S. Then build 1-Level RealHighwayFLEX Height Transitions (as close to the Highway as possible), where you want to intersect the highways. 2. Then start a new highway before the ramps ( I used RH6-S) and drag Highway to join the overpass. 3. Place a FLEXRamp Type A1on the ground highway, 1 tile away from the bridge, as shown on the image below. The ramp on the other side of the highway is placed 1 tile further down. I noticed that after I finished the tutorial so, don't pay attention to that. 4. Place a FLEX Ramp Type B1 on the overpassing highway, just after the height transition, on ground level: 5. Using the Road or Traintrack tool, mark a 10 X 12 tile rectange to use as a guide: 6. Find the RealHighwayFLEXFly and place two MIS L0 90-Deg (Type A2) pieces, as shown on the 2nd picture below: 7. Press TAB once and place an MIS L0 45 Degree (Type B2) piece, as shown below: 8. Using the Network Eraser tool, erase the extra piece (if you don't erase that, the ramp will break when you join join the gaps): 9. Drag highway to connect the pieces: 10. Place an Exit ramp (FLEXRamp Type B1), on the ground highway (11 tiles away from the rectangle you marked before), as shown below: 11. Place an Entry ramp (FLEXRamp Type B1), on overpassing highway, 10 tiles away from the rectangle you have marked before: 12. If the Exit and Entry ramps have been placed correctly, you should be able to join them by dragging a diagonal Highway: 13. Repeat the process for the remain 3 sides. You can use the position of the existing ramps to place the opposite ones, without having to count tiles agian. You can see that one of the ramps on my Cloverleaf is placed 1 tile further. I have fixed that, but, I only noticed that after finishing the tutorial images so, forgive me about that :-) 14. When you finish, you may decorate your Cloverleaf to look more relalistic: FINISHED!!!

After seeing the compact version of the cloverleaf RHW, I went ahead and try it out, but when trying to place the last two interchanges to complete the cloverleaf, I get this error. Any guess what happened to this one?

This is an intersection idea which centers around the cloverleaf design. It is ment to intergrade into OWR and 'one way funneling' strategies. Uploaded below are three variants of this new idea.

Hi guys, I finally bit the bullet and decided to try a proper NAM hwy instead of using the maxis ones which to date is all I have used. So after about 8 hours of hair ripping and swearing I finally finished it. As far as I can see it is all built correctly, I have no sims in this town yet or traffic so can't test if it all works so I put 'draw paths' on to help make sure all was going in the correct directions etc. It all looks fine and the green arrows are all looking correct however I get two little red flashing thingos on the two ramps as shown in the pictures and have no idea why they are there. I am assuming an error but for the life of me cannot figure out what. I am building that hwy shown on the left on the first picture and as far as I can see all the yellow lines are correct for the flow of traffic. The intersections are all mirror image so not sure why 2/4 are showing these flashing things. I have tried deleting the ramps and putting in other ones, the ramps here are Flexramp B1 and the hwy's are RHW-8S which this ramp supports. The N/S hwy is 8 lane elevated, the E/W is 8 lane ground. I am using NAM 39.

Cloverleaf Interchange with Local-Express Lanes - TPB CSLIA Vol 1.
TPB posted a file in CSL Roads & Traffic

Local Express Cloverleaf v1 This is a high capacity Cloverleaf with Collector-Distributor Lanes. Includes flora but you can easily delete it if you don't like the way I've arranged it. The outer ramps are made from one way roads for decorative purposes, but keep in mind there is a speed limit of 40mph on them, so if you have a lot of traffic you may want to replace these with normal highway ramp. Special care has been taken to finish this cloverleaf interchange to a high standard. Having said that, the outer ramp spurs are not perfectly aligned to the rest of their curve, because of lack of space in the Asset Editor mainly, but also to give a better turning angle to vehicles. ie. It's intended. To install, unzip file, then move the "TPB CSLIA - LE Cloverleaf v1.crp" file into \Users\*YOU*\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets Replace *YOU* with whatever your user account name is on your machine. Please note the AppData folder is hidden by default, you'll have to show hidden files in explorer to find it. Visit my Asset Studio for news on upcoming uploads. And of course, don't forget to rate, comment, discuss, share on facebook, google, tweet, pin, and everything else- 5 Reviews

The Long-Awaited (Yeah, Right) Update II - Man With A Plan
Lordyboy96 posted a City Journal entry in SC4 Capitol River Region
Hello everyone, and welcome to part... 2 of the Capitol River Region (intro definitely not stolen from a certain SC4 Youtube Series ). Sorry for the long wait, I have many excuses I can drop for the long break, but I think I'll stick with RL and waiting for NAM 32 to be released proper (I had some visual issues with the pre-release and so didn't really want to show any dodgy images). Anyway, the main thing I needed after the initial dialling in and placement of trees and stuff, was a plan. In the past I've rarely used one of these, since I've felt more comfortable just doing what I want and seeing what happens, but in my last region I found this led to some logistical issues when I started to grow out my towns. So, this time I made a quick one using inkscape: Yellow and blue Lines are major highways, green and blue are less major routes (i.e. not all interchanges will be grade separated), the white and grey dashed line shows the rail routes, and the different shaded circles are where I'm planning on the settlements being. This is very rough and subject (hell, I've already broken bits of it), but should give an idea of where I'm going with this. So far, I have pretty much all of the southern infrastructure done, so here are some pictures of the more interesting bits of that: Up first is the intersection connecting the main highway south with the main city's ring road and the inner-city motorway (I really need to think of names for stuff for the next part, description is hard). I guess it's a partially unravelled cloverleaf, but don't quote me on that. The actual design was borrowed from the Show Us Your... Interchanges thread, which I then converted into LHD. We also have something on the smaller side, a fairly compact trumpet interchange next to the rural settlement (which I have started some work on) in the South-East of the region. Some of the bends are a little tight, but I figure traffic use will be light and so a sprawling, high-quality interchange is unnecessary. We also have a picture of the two bridges crossing the river just to the West of the first interchange. Not much to say about this, I really just thought it looked semi-interesting and was concious of how little I actually have to show thus far I guess I may as well chuck in a region shot to show the progress across the region as well. Well, see you next time guys, and hopefully much sooner Cheers Lordyboy
