New week, new map! Here's Cairo (القاهرة), Egypt! Located along the banks of the historically significant Nile River and south of the Nile River Delta, Cairo is the capital of Egypt and home to approximately 10 million residents, making it the largest city in the country. With this map, you'll now have a place to plop landmarks such as the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx amongst others. The map is 20 x 24 large city tiles and is accurately scaled based on DEM data. Some of the areas included in the map are: Cairo Giza New Cairo City Qarun Lake (partial) In order to install the map you will need wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer as the file is in SC4M format. I hope you can put this map to good use, enjoy! -TCC View My Full Map Catalogue Here:- 1 Review

History The Colossi of Memnon (Arabic: el-Colossat or es-Salamat) are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned in Egypt during the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Since 1350 BCE, they have stood in the Theban Necropolis, located west of the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor. Specs: The file contains an 1x1 lot. Plop it on flat ground (You can also use MMP around the model). Night: Maxis Night & Darknite (Choose only one) Maxisnite: Darknite: You can find the building in the Lot Editor as: AGC_Statue-Mo_Egypt_Colossi-of-Memnon_V1_S1_90 (Building & Prop) Scale of the model: 133% on all axes. Ubication: Landmarks. Icon: Installation: Unzip the "Barroco Hispano DLCs" in your Plugins Folder (I highly recommend respecting my folder system because I plan to export or update thousands of BATs). Dependencies: If you choose the Darknite version you need this SimFox Day and Nite Modd -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now you can make voluntary contributions to support me in continuing to create more content for SimCity 4 (I decided to use paypal instead of Patreon because I want everyone to have access to my content). https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=WF9FDNHXCHDVU Thanks to all the (6) people who have donated to me! -

As with the Zones seen in the previous two entries, this one gets its name from a member of the Quanzhen Seven, Liu Chuxuan - The Perfected Master of Eternal Life. Set along the canal that crosses Ionica from Qiu Chuji (Eternal Spring) to Huang Yaoshi (Peach Blossom Bay), Liu Chuxuan features the Intercontinental Hotel and the New World Apartments. Both were designed to contour the canal and provide an excellent view of the Black Obelisk of Horus which has inlaid gold hieroglyphics that shine at night. Overlooking the canal on the northern side is the Brickell on the River, a luxurious complex of residential towers. Much like Wang Chuyi, no major transportation system passes through this Zone. It is mainly a residential area, with some commercial mid-rises but no skyscrapers. Since it is right above the CBD, residents of this Zone can easily travel to any part of the city in a relatively short amount of time. Enjoy your stay. Comments, suggestions, and questions are always appreciated. Thanks for visiting. gviper: Marvelous, simply marvelous. The contoured walls next to the waterways really enhances the scene. I want to take a stroll and see the sights in real life. You really love those retaining wall plaza pieces Well done M.R. And you gotta love the name: Ionica It would indeed be great to take a stroll in such a place. Thanks. raynev1: Another magnificent work of of art . You are a Picasso with Simcity4 . So good to see a 3rd season. Bravo , well done indeed. Thanks for the high praise raynev1. nos.17: I have 5 words: Beautiful. Needs traffic generators though. Yes, the lack of traffic has been bothering me. As I told someone in the last entry, I just recently realized i had the #Cars/Sims option set to low. I will also consider getting a traffic generator. Any suggestions? Thanks. tankman: What a transformation, it seems more open and brighter now with the changes. Mission accomplished then. Thanks. Schulmanator: Nice! Some creative and appealing ways to use custom content for sure! Always trying to find new ways to assemble good stuff. Thanks. Qorten: Damn, you really know how to make gorgeous cities! Well it took a few years, but I'm gettin' there. Thanks. Paulobergonci: So many details! Great use of BATs, it looks like a beautiful city to live in. Hey Paulo, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks. kschmidt: Classic SC4 building, city building commercial zoning only, industrial and residential in their own space commuting around, as it was designed ! Well done ! Thanks kschmidt. Stay tuned. magalenin: Absolutely awesome, as always! And also a big thank because of the linked user-made buildings! My cities wouldn't look the way they did if it weren't for the custom content creators so I gotta represent. Thanks. TMTS: Nice work!! Well done, really pretty! There's more where that came from. Stay tuned. Thanks. jmsepe: Stunning beauty as usual! What resolution are you using for your images? Thanks jmsepe. The resolution of an individual screenshot is 1920 x 1080 but I usually crop that down to 1920 x 861. The resolution of a typical mosaic of mine is around 1920 x 4500 (for a small tile). MissVanleider: This makes me really want to learn how those TuLEPS work Snazzy! It actually isn't that hard. If you have the latest version of NAM all you have to do is use the 1-way road tool and click on your intersections.

So ever played this game anyone? I was going to buy it on Steam but found it for less on GOG.com. I can do terra forming on it and it is a building/strategy game based in Egypt. You have to make sure your people have what they need. You know the food, shelter and basics. Prestige is also important as is getting that pryamid built before the Pharoah (you) croak. You also have to train armies and navy to defend against raiders, train city guards to protect the town from vagrants too. You can set up relations for trade with computer generated cites also for goods you can't produce yourself. I am enjoying it greatly! It is an older game made in 2004 but I have had no problems running it on Windows 8. I am annoyed right now with SC4 and this is a nice break.

A map of the edge of Egypt and Saudi Arabia with the top of the Red Sea and including the Gulf of Suez. NOTE: probably a map that will look more aesthetically appealing if you use a desert textures etc. the map contains 6 x 6 Large cities (36 cities). Once the file is downloaded, extract the contents to your regions directory, as in place the folder "Red Sea" into your Region folder. Then start up the game load up Red Sea and then press " Control + Alt + Shift + R" then once the screen has popped up, navigate to the Red Sea.jpeg file in the regions --> Red Sea folder and then go make yourself a drink! Obviously the more RAM etc your computer has, the quicker the map shall render. -
Crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood continues. I think it is time for this issue to have its own thread. It would appear that after the current take over by the generals things are proceeding towards a secular state similar to the status quo ante Morsi. While the popular revolution has succeeded in eliminating the worst government abuses, things have come to Peter's Pretty Pass for the Muslim Brotherhood.
