You did better than me with 630,000. I still think I can make it to a million if I follow exactly what the simulator wants rather than trying to force it, so I'll put that project on my list and whenever I do I'll post it here. @CorinaMarie had suggested uploading the result to Ready Made Regions but no not the mess I made. Its a case of dystopia worse than Bladerunner world. Yes, please do donate the $25 to Simtropolis, it was worth the effort to contribute something back to this community and its very kind of you to do this challenge and reward. I learned a bit more about how the raw simulator works with no mods. I don't think most people would have stuck with this game so long without the corrections of the NAM and many other mods. So thank-you very much, and thanks to Simtropolis. -
SimCity 4 Hardcore Challenge

I got to 541,000 population and thought it would be easy to get to 1 million, but nope it just became impossible to get any further. Even though I filled the whole tile I could only maintain a population of 335,000. Its an awful mess with constant fires, massive dilapidation and degrading utilities. So 541,000 is the max. population for me in the Hardcore Challenge. I'm going back to mods now. -

I've been using SC13 since it came out. I've never used mods because I mostly played online, but now that online is mostly dead, I'll have a look at the collection of mods. I can't play online now anyway cause EA falsely accused me of some unknown infraction. I talked to their security people and they must have been OD'd on coffee and donuts cause they couldn't get the picture that either their AI is whacked-out or somebody hacked their servers. I wasn't interested in getting involved in EA's psycho-political culture so I play offline. -
Got it! Thanks! I usually use a lot of props so this will be much useful. The flag I was making came out to 1114 flower props. @CorinaMarie I used your script but there was no exemplar entry to process, but I tested as you demonstrated and got the text file okay. Nice coding.

I'm still working on my Hardcore Challenge city. Its more challenging than I thought it would be, but its coming along. I couldn't find a definite reliable source for maximum pop. achieved in a single large tile with no mods, but safe to say its probably above 1 million. This is a contest so I'm not reporting my progress... I've been using SimCity 4 since 2005 so I'll definitely take this challenge. I don't use either Steam or Discord so if I win you could maybe donate the $25 to Simtropolis. How will you verify that the winner did not cheat? Is it by the honor system? Maybe some ST Mods would be willing to be independent judges, but that's probably a liability issue. Thanks. I'm interested to see this work, but I can't find iLive Reader 1.54 on either ST or SC4Evermore. I'm using ver. 0.87. The lot is a museum and only has 1 Building Exemplar and the Lot Configuration Exemplar. I've installed Notepad++ which can count the occurrences of a string in a file. That should be good enough to get a count of "is prop". If you can please link to Reader 1.54 wherever it is, I should be able to follow your instructions and get a txt file that I can count "is prop".

I'm making a lot using a lot of props. The limit is 1280 per lot. The lot is a 3x5 flag made up of Maxis flowers. I need to be able to keep track of the number of props I'm adding so I don't exceed the limit. Is there any program that will give me a count of the props used?

Swedish police cars, real and Maxis scale + props

I can use the props in LE without adding the KMS Auto Police Maxis scale.dat file, and that's great for creating a police station without requiring the user to switch their preferred police car automata, but the cars aren't as bright as I'd like. In the picture below the colors are vivid like the Swedish ambulance. -
A final note on this for the sake lotters and downloaders, the BSC Common Dependencies Pack contains the original files in separate folders in the <installation> folder, so we can indicate exactly which ones you used. I only installed the following files from the package and then opened your lot in Lot Editor. The textures and props you used are all there. BSC MEGA Props - CP Vol01 (1180) 15.3KB BSC Mega Props - CP Vol02 (2790) 18.7KB BSC Texture Pack - Cycledogg V01 (101) 17.3KB Total: 51.3KB As @Kel9509 said, users may as well download and install the whole package as almost any download will likely use something from the package, but there are instances when someone might want to keep their plugins folder at minimal size. For example, when I make lots I don't want to have to scroll through textures and props in LE that I'm not using. As well, some users have slower computers with minimal memory and disk space. Anyhow please keep looking for these great BATs and re-working them. Thanks to both of you for helping me figure out the re-organization of dependencies from the old SC4D.

You are right the actual dependency is 1.68GB packed, 2.0GB unpacked, and this is probably all you need for BSC lots.
