  1. Speaking of the DLL, may I ask about the state of DLL modding in general? Are there other mysteries that we haven't solved, like using power pole as a network (yes, that's stupid, but whatever). Someone asked about the mysterious nature of in-game bridges, that can't have any network below them and doesn't support side-by-side networking, afaik in the topic of savegame file by @smf_16.
  2. City load crashes

    Another reason is something that the late @Odainsaker had experienced during rendering a huge region. Apparently, his regions and mod collections were so huge that every time he enters a city, it simply crash. Anyone who found the thread can link here.

    Is it because of broken ST caching, or your country decided to censor, oh sorry, regulate Imgur so it doesn't operate anymore (cough UK)?
  4. Yup. It's the first decision made by the people who are interested in submenus, @memo, @Panda, etc. They eventually added predef submenus, but it's not something fixed. You can do whatever you want.
  5. Could be, or, it might be due to the coder inputted those values to a system that didn't recognize signed value. The system just kept going putting those values into the game's code.
  6. Yup, confirming that's an experimental feature that can only be accessed from the cheat box.
  7. 3K was so insane. I heard there's some procedurally generated buildings. That's insane for the game of the era (excluding demoscene of course). We never got it in any SC games, even 13 and BuildIt. Heck, we never get it on any C:S franchise (at least, the stock game). The closest thing we got is the modular building system in 13. Bringing back to 4, why does the default coords in the weather system point to the Yellow Sea?
  8. Are there any existence of fully 3D version of SC3K, @Null 45? Or fully 3D version of SC4? For @asasnat, I'm sorry, I meant that version, the full 3D one, not 2D. My memory is a bit foggy.
  9. Really? Is SC:Formosa an official version of the game? Yes, Taiwan as a country did get supported by SC4, with the proof of having an SKU for it. But, I'm a bit skeptical. Is it like Simmars or anything aka a community project that is so good that almost looking like an official one? Also, I think only masochists that build on that scaled-down Taiwan map. I played Fairview and oh boy, I needed some terraforming. Goes the same way for this thing.
  10. I highly argue it's unfinished, so Maxis didn't expose it thru their API. Also, WinGenDlg sounds like the internal API for generating windows. It's reasonable that is not exposed intentionally. We have to dig thru undocumented functions.
  11. Anyone have insight to SC4 technical details? I'm craving for more. Last, we discussed about the hydrology system and unfortunately, it's a bit hard to resurrect. Can we ask more? Let's say about the pie graph UI component and the general response curve.

    Your cache may haven't been built yet or your internet is a bit broken. I recommend you to search SC4CPUOptions here on STEX, visit the page, and hit that sc4pac install button. So yeah. That's it.
