Then it became First Interstate World Center, which wasn't too bad, but was still a corporate label. Later it was renamed Library Tower, which is what most Angelenos still call it, until US Bank bought the naming rights and stuck their big logo on its crown. US Bank Tower. Bleagh. I agree that it's nice when buildings have unique names that have nothing to do with their big-name tenants, like the Empire State Building. Of course, though, I've painted myself into a corner.
