  1. Athens 2004 Olympic Stadium

Is it just me, or does the inner part of the stadium look like a slightly elevated flat surface that has been textured to resemble a stadium, but not modelled at all? Sorry if I'm wrong; it just looks like that on the pictures.
  2. Simcity4 LAN 0.9..announced

This is a GREAT project! I loved to play SC2000 NET together with a friend of mine; and before that was out we used to make a city map and decide who was to build on which side... then we woulkd take turns in building our side and handing the saved city over to the other player on a diskette... *lol* It would be sooooooooo great to have a LAN / Internet option for SC4, too... so I could host a region on my server, a friend would join my game, and we'd buiild happily along. Thanks for developing this and good luck! If I were any good at what it takes to create such a mod, I'd gladly offer my help, but unfortunately... Well I'm gonna give you some moral support at least, then. Not to forget, a bunny!
  3. Underworld`s Bat projects

Hmmm... I agree that the first roof texture was too busy. However, I fear that the new one looks a tad too clean & light for my taste. Maybe it would look best if you found something inbetween these two extremes? Anyway, I wanted to seize the occasion to thank you for the great stuff you contributed to the STEX. I'm currently usinbg your adult store and the Redfish book store, and I like both! Here's a bunny for ya:
  4. obsolete Victorian Style El Rail Station

Whoaaa - this will look So nice in a chicago-style suburb! Now I can use these in the older parts of my city and your modern stations for industrial areas or low-density commcercial zones in the outskirts. Matching embankments would indeed be a hit!
  5. Hamburg Appartmenthaus

The white textures are a bit excessively bright in game. The roof would look a lot better with a gradient applied to the texture, and the flat parts of the roof even look a bit untextured. Apart from that, a nice building and a good start! Good luck figuring out the night lights, btw! ;)
  6. JS Large Fire Station

Good work. The lot is both nice and realistic, and the traffic enabling adds some extra spice to it. One can always argue about changed values, but the lot itself is beyond question. 4 garages, 4 cars - makes sense. Good! =)
  7. Riveria Island - A Land in the Indian Ocean

Very realistic development along the coastline, nice! I wonder when the richer residents of Mayfina will utter their wish to build their estates on those beautiful little islands in the river delta... if I were rich and lived in Mayfina, I would certainly like to settle there: A short commute to the center, yet far enough away from all the noise and traffic, surrounded by clear river water on three sides and the sea in the north... *hint*
  8. Denny's Classic Diner

What bourneid said. I'm from Europe and I don't even know 90% of these chains, but they look so nice that I can't help using them. The night lights of your buildings keep getting better and better, btw. I just love this! *starts download*
  9. Melonys Melon Farms

ROFLMAO - I hate to live in a colder country where the Melony farmers don't show their melons so often... SG, you are the best. Thank you for all your great stuff. *wipes tears of laughter from his eyes*
  10. Highbridge Manor

You know what? Now I'm actually looking forward to getting more poor Sims into my cities. Your R$ apartment blocks are fantastic, all of them! Now please stop this charade and finally admit that you're from Maxis, ok? :P
  11. ISATGlarus Station

The building itself is really great, but it looks totally untextured in game, like plastic. I tested it but removed it from my plugins folder again. Wiith more structure / waethering effects / colour gradients applied to the textures, this could easily be a 10+.
  12. BAT Projects - SimGoober

I wouldn't have thought that such a building exists in RL... wow. However, if you compare the RL version with your BAT, you will see that the gap is much smaller, which makes the real building look a tad less odd. With that wide gap that's currently in your BAT, I can't help thinking that the middle building is going to lose its grip and slide between the two side towers any moment.
  13. Tonksies BAT Thread NDEX

As I commented in the STEX about your Solent buildings, I think you are actually getting to the point where everybody will enkoy your creations. I didn't like the texturing of your earlier BATs, but the Solent Building is definitely a keeper! You could still add some more grain or structure to the textures, and the window textures are not the most exciting - but all in all, the Solent Building is still a great BAT, and I'm already looking forward to have it grow in one of my cities. Besides, it fills a deep gap, as there are hardly any good BATs for smaller office buildings. We have CO
  14. Portsmouth Tower

Hmmm... it would be nice to make the best of the shape by making it grow on corner lots only. Looks very nice, though - I'm gonna d/l and check it out.
  15. BAT Projects - SimGoober

Hmm... the building is awesome, i.e. up to your usual standard. However, I absolutely don't like this split building thingy, at least not in this case. I wouldn't think twice about using both the side parts and the middle parts as separate mid-rise office towers, but in this constellation? I don't really think so... Well, don't let that get you down, and don't take it as a criticism of any kind. This building looks incredibly great for what it is, but it's just not my personal taste, sorry.
  16. Solent office Building

The only places where I see room for improvement are the lot (the street texture is half buried under the building) and the window texture. However, this is still a great building which I'm definitely going to use. Thanks a lot! This is a good 9.
  17. Solent office Building

I plopped it in my town yesterday to check it out, and I gotta say I really like it! TBH, it's your first BAT that really convinces me. We need more buildings of this type in SC4. You did a good job with the textures; despite their uniform colour, they look realistic and not like a Lego brick.
  18. Somy Japanese Urban School

Thank you Equinox for taking care of the issues... SOMY's creations are truly wonderful, and I appreciate people modding lots to have sensible properties and functions. It's so much better than useless plops with unbalanced properties. Well, take your time and good luck! :o)
  19. RLS Vacation Resort

Yay! 1st to comment... this looks awesome; I've followed the forum thread. And it's a great idea to make it a reward instead of just another boring plop. Me downloads and tests!
  20. Sonic Drive In

Your low-density commercial buildings are always great. I love all the detail you put into them, plus the beautiful nightlighting.
  21. Warren Arms

Totally agree with Equinox; this is superb. I'm gonna d/l that reader, too, in order to try and make it growable on medium density. Thank you very much!
  22. SK

However, I still think that it could become a 10/10 candidate with comparably little work: Better texturing plus better lot, and we have a winner. IMHO, the building itself is good, especially the roof.
  23. SK

@superphil13: Many buildings look better in game than on the pics. However, having plopped this between other buildings, I gotta agree with you. I was rather disappointed because it looked so untextured and uncontrasted. This building looked better on the pics than in game. :(
  24. PEGCDKN Navy Pier 2

Wuhahaha, and Andreas is such a pacifist! You should have named a hospital ship after him! ^^ But seriously: This is just awesome. Once there were boring shorelines... and then came PEG... now everybody wants to have coastal cities so that he can use all those beautiful lots. :P
  25. SK

Wow, I like this! It looks a bit generic, but that's exactly what I like. It's none of those super-high, shiny and flashy showoff towers, but a very authentic and realistic office tower. I just think that the lot is a bit bland and too bright for such a dark building...
