  1. Fairground reward (making it modular)

Date: 1/30/2005 9:14:16 PM Author: Lord_Bertrum Date: 1/30/2005 12:52:28 PM Author: GaryReggae Date: 1/30/2005 7:46:01 AM Author: Lord_Bertrum The photo really reminds me of some thing from a Gerry Anderson series, Captain Scarlet I think? The last time I saw it, I was 9, so I might just be imagining it. Yeah, this building has a very cartoony, fun look about it.  A lot of buildings from that period did but this one has to be the most zany I have seen!  I can't remember Captain Scarlet as I haven't seen it for years but I love the space-age architecture in Thunderbirds and Stingray.  Fantastic stuff. Yeah, but I hope your not going to BAT a Tracy Island, that would be going way too far for me. Er...no!!! I will probably be doing pleny more 50s and 60s 'space age' architecture but I very much doubtI I will be doing Tracy Island!!!

  4. Fairground reward (making it modular)

Date: 1/29/2005 8:12:55 AM Author: Lord_Bertrum @GaryReggae - Your BAT isnt based on Blackpool is it? No, it's not Blackpool although it would fit in very well there. It is a real building though, from Southsea (the seaside resort part of Portsmouth). Here's a photo of the real thing. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Cp_Real.jpg align=baseline>
  5. Fairground reward (making it modular)

Hi Greyveil: No problem, I'll let you have a copy of the SC4Model file. I will be releasing this as a lot in its own right as well but if you want me to change the signs for the version for your fairground, please let me know and I'll be happy to do so.
  6. Wow, nice work, this looks beautiful and kind of reminds of the embankments along the River Thames in London. I guess it would work well as a seaside promenade as well although they don't tend to have as many trees. I can't wait to download this though!
  7. Fairground reward (making it modular)

That looks great - fantastic idea! If you are interested, I am currently working on a fairground building - it's based on a real building that contains amusement arcades, a Bingo hall and a Wimpy bar. It needs a few days more work but if you would like to use it in your project you are more than welcome. Of course I could make a custom version with different signage as your park will almost certainly not be on a pier!!! Here's a shot of what I've done so far: https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Cp2.jpg align=baseline>
  8. Ardnox Comprehensive School

Fantastic work! 10/10! Has an excellent 60s feel to it. I've been looking for a decent UK school for ages. Blackbeard, I went to a school very similiar to this and it did have green windows, they put a horrible solar film on the windows to reduce sunlight.
  9. obsolete City IT College

Very nice! Is it based on anything?
  10. Tyre Factory

Thanks! This is a landmark as it's too big to be an industrial building so it doesn't have any jobs unfortunately.

  12. Spinnaker Tower Version 2

Fantastic! I've seen the real version of this building and this is a great model of it.
  13. 1950s Police Headquarters

No it's not really based on anything real, just a generic combination of elements inspired by other 1950s/60s buildings. It was kind of inspired by Winchester Police HQ but isn't much like it!
