Tyre Factory
This unique and unusual but very large factory was built in the 1950s for manufacturing tyres. It is loosely based on a (now demolished) building in Brynmawr, Wales. The building features innovative use of concrete shell technology and the main production area roof is comprised of nine huge concrete domes. The building also includes offices, a staff canteen and a work social club, in a separate building.
