  1. Sure but... The game has severe limitations in many areas that require troublesome workarounds in order for content to be added satisfactorily. If you want a region with tall mountains what can you do? Is there an easy way? Also if you want trees, trams, roundabouts, european cars and road textures etc. - you just have to learn to operate your computer and that will give you freedom of choice. PS. it would be easier if the game creators had had custom content in mind instead of in their mouths...

  4. If its technically possible (IF!!!!) i think the NAM should try to accomodate menu TAB rings for sets of lots that are downloaded often and would clearly benefit from such treatment. This would probably be more useful at this stage than further NAM extensions. It would have to be totally voluntary on the part of the NAM crew and, while obviously more work, would be VERY VERY useful. Someone would have to make it work first, but please dont get discouraged by the negative noises being made The NAM would not have to be updated more often - the ring requests would have to wait for a new NAM release. If its technically possible...
  5. Try GIMP - people complain its complicated and not intuitive enough but it can do most of what photoshop can with RGB images (layers being the most important) - and its free. Do read the gascooker stuff. Black roof = bad idea, theres nothing actually black in the RW except at night in a tunnel.

    Incredibly awesome but could have hit the STEX in a better way. Right now its a huge download that people might be uncertain about because its a beta. A final model and separately beta lot stuff would be a better way to publish. 2 zip volumes is an easy workaround for the 10 meg rule.

    suxx, too big!!3! Sorry ingame courts may be small but are the standard. Tennis courts need a tall fence and a large free area around the court to play. Use a lighter, less saturated and more varied (worn, used) texture for the courts and youll be fine (on a larger lot or with a smaller court).

    Very nice.. cant get through to the gallery or large pics etc. Not that that matters anyway, the in-game stuff is what counts. Most fotogenic stuff ever. Porkie has even thrown what i call the "Commando" style - if anything this looks like the RW.

  16. Smaller buildings?

    The point seems to be the lots are too big, not that there are none. Why lot sizes are not mentioned on some STEX releases baffles me too, as its one of the basic stats. A clear ingame and night in game shot of what is being distributed would also assist searches...

    The model looks fine (shoud be about 30% taller to look really good - compensation for the way in which its displayed in the game) but better textures could make it classy instead of OK.

    Hi psycholu. Theres a lot more that you could do with textures if you published your work in a thread on the forums and listened to advice.

    Actually its a textured polygon thats mirrored - mirroring a textured polygon results in garbled texturing.. Dont mirror - copy and move the polygon and then adjust the texture.
