    I disagree. I think the elevation change is perfect... esp when looking at the real station. The rail goes over a large road, and goes down in elevation and at the end of the station goes underground. Either way I’m not going for realism I’m going for what I want and what the game can do. I’m not going to go learn how to model just to make a brand new elevation change that fits perfectly with the existing props and textures especially when what’s included with the NAM ismore than adequate. And I also want to make some buildings overhang under the rail. Matt also made wonderful el rail stations. Didn’t think I’d be posting defending my decisions

    @Simmer2 Looks great so far! And funny that you were last to comment as I'm making progress on these big rail station lots (11 so far) using @Reddonquixote's station, and it all wouldn't be possible without your textures/props! One of the more complex project's I've started and I'm liking where it's going

    @monkeywater Hey thank you, https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/31985-bipin-concrete-walls/ is what I'm using for the helipad and modifying the lot with Reader, and also the other walls are by @nbvc. I'm nearing completion of laying this tile's mega highway, and I think at it's widest point it's 19 lanes wide lots of lots to make for lighting and signage

    Congratulations on your 100th update! I love logging on to see new entries by Korver! Your work is not only amazingly beautiful, but like I’ve said before, it inspires ideas for me to use in game as well. Sometimes I’ll go back and look at your past entries to not only admire their beauty, but also to get ideas or try and figure out how you made something so I can do something similar. Looking forward to more future updates!

    Alright, made my very own overlay textures for the first time. Probably will be a dangerous road and will now see a need to make my own textures for every little idea and thing I can think of . Won't post again until I'm finished, but wanted to share that I've made my first texture

    WIP - Originally was just land lot with the administration building on the lot, I love NBVC marina's but next to the dark textures it looked off. So I found a foundation @mattb325 uses for his water lots. Theres only a couple on the right side, they kind of block the yellow line visually when facing them which I'm okay with, but I may do some searching to find a model thats just a little lower . It's missing props and the other pieces I plan on making. I'll probably end up deleting this and making a new one with the building on the lot now that I plan on making it a water capable lot using a foundation model. The inspiration is a helipad in Manhattan, NYC.

    @Simmer2 love this scene ! @nycsc4 I notice you got a @Reddonquixote building model there... Was messing around with SC4DataNode for the first time just now and came across some models of his that he released on the LEX and wow I forgot about the aquarium. I had meant to lot this when I got it because I really wanted a high quality aquarium. It's based on the real one in Melbourne, but that one has a rail line going over it and not much of a lot. So instead I'm thinking the National Aquarium in Baltimore will serve as a good inspiration for this models lot as it is also on the water. Those Rio textures from @flunight will work perfectly. Its uncanny - makes you wonder if the architects of the Baltimore aquarium were inspired by the sidewalks in Copacabana. Oh, and how about maybe finding another good model and attaching it to the aquarium with a @Glenni skywalk. And then, I couldn't forget to throw it on a coast next to the Virginia attack submarine by srainy? So much potential here. Also... I got some licenses . But I don't know if that means i'll be making models for SC4 though as I've never used them before

    I think school is out (@JJBers the building is from @mattb325). Also - a little way to do inside entrances with merge lane. Should be able to do it with the Flex MIS to RHW4 ramp as well. Based on the 10 Freeway just west of Downtown LA.
  13. Hello everyone, I have changed my display name as I work on stuff to release on to the exchanges. Satoshi is a online nickname I use after the Japanese name for Ash Ketchum, by the way, and not after the founder of blockchain and Bitcoin, the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto. Anyways, I'm working on a few different things right now. Have been experimenting with GoFSH and have I guess what would be better to call a 'rough draft' of a retexture of Paeng's Bicycle Paths using the highwealth texture from Catalyst's Asphalt Sidewalk Extension Mod. I got the idea to start using this texture actually from @rsc204 and his addon to the Catalyst one. However, instead of Bicycle Paths I'm re-purposing them as more of an Urban Sidewalk to be used on custom lots and to be made into custom filler pieces. The lots in the picture are the lots included with the Paeng Download and had been relotted by me a bit before I started the retexture, so sort of ignore the props because that is all going to change. I'm also gonna link two pictures of the SuperSHK Parking relots that I'm doing. This would be cool to eventually release with @kingofsimcity's permission as I used his repository and, I'm assuming, will adapt to whatever texture set up you would have in regards to that pack. Lastly, work continues on the retaining walls I'm making using the prop from @Bipin's Concrete Retaining Walls. But I was thinking as maybe my first BAT project, remaking if possible Bipin's prop and adding Diagonals and grafitti. Probably a bit out of scope as I have no modeling experience but you gotta start somewhere? Again, that's a big maybe, and if I don't decide to do it will still be continuing with the Ortho pieces In addition, I will be doing relots of BATs and if people like them I’ll try and release that too. The general focus of all these projects is creating urban settings with unified textures. Looking forward to moving forward with things for a first release of something!
  14. Satoshi's SC4 Lots and other stuff

    Been awhile since I made this thread and still really want to eventually release something! Moving far away and some other games (WoW mainly, but I pretty much hate BFA at this point tbh) had my attention elsewhere, as well as being pretty much a novice at all this. I think the most feasible thing would be some basic smaller relots, which I'll be doing for myself here soon as I build out from the school. But I have a lot of models to download as I am redoing my plugins still. Building a proper archive outside of my actual plugins folder to serve as a backup and reference. Going to try to sort them very diligently and even have little pictures but I'll probably want to gouge my eyes out by page 30 of the STEX. Anyways 'finished' this giant High School based on a real high school in Los Angeles. I say 'finished' because I'll probably see things later and go back and tweak stuff. This is 6 Lots I forgot to check the total area as I would like to know myself. Will also have to come back and edit in a full zoom shot because I forgot

    I really, really love the textures made by @kingofsimcity and @rsc204 and this particular school on Vermont Ave in LA provides a good opportunity to combine them together. This is so far three pieces. Also really looking forward to @Scribosilyn's SNT (it looks incredible btw) coming out and being able to lay detailed street networks, the streetside parking ones in particular

    Really like what everyones been working on! So much to say but to keep it really short, @Simmer2 your incinerator showcases not only your amazing ability at modeling and lotting, but also your creativity and artistic ability! Some people may recognize the inspiration here, but I've been enjoying laying some new networks whilst experimenting in the PIM with various things in between lotting.

    Amazing work as always and among everything and all the little details one of the things that stuck out to me not already mentioned were the bus lanes in the roads and the little pedestrian street market in the Torre Latinoamericana scene. The details in between all the buildings - the trees, streetside props, people, parks, traffic really brings everything to life. Look forward to seeing whats next!
