3ds Max - Troubleshooting & General Discussion
robin9000 replied to Jasoncw's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
Thank you very much. I had now idea that both the night and day had to be two individual models. Now am just going to have to figure out how to export it all when I am done and make it into an actual usable model. Thanks so much. -
3ds Max - Troubleshooting & General Discussion

How do you add night lighting to a 3DS Max model? Both making the windows light up at night and adding lighting to the model in general that will only show up at night. These things are easy to do with G-max but not sure how to do it with 3DS Max? -
I know, texturing is my biggest problem. I scaled down bricks texture to look like in real world but everyone see - texture look became crap. So, are you asking me to do bricks, which size is 1/4 of window size or what?
Bricks are tricky and not all colors are good for rendering on a building. Try to play with different brick colors and try to up the size of the bricks till your able to make them out clearly enough. Feel free to view my models as I use brick texture all the time. Hope this helps you out. The thing mentioned above about there being no roof add-ons is one other thing you should look at adding.
