Camden and its inner ring suburbs use 8 or 12 inch signal heads mounted in a trombone mast-arm, with no backplates. I'm torn as to whether or not I'd want them. On the one hand, they'd add a distinct East Coast flavor to my cities. On the other hand, around here, sideways stoplights are associated with cheap, run-down areas (like Camden and its inner ring suburbs), and I don't know if I could get over that association. It would also be nifty if we could have a pair of old-fashioned four-way signals hung from a diagonal span wire, for those intersections in our tiny one-stoplight towns, but it's probably asking for too much for customizable intersections--if it's possible to change the lights at all, it's probably only going to be through a mod that changes all the lights. Really, I'd be happy if they could just change the stoplights to yellow, since nobody on the East Coast except Washington DC uses gray/black ones.
