Huston, use caustics for the pool
  2. NYBT 2639 And 2641 Jerome Avenue

    Great job! Thank you Aaron.
  3. modern NYBT?

OK Red, but with all that said, I am sure you still tend to give her as much of her real likeness and scale that she possesses in the RL. The most noticeable issue that I see is unmatched proportions between elements. And surely it would be nice to see sc4 perspective render. Here are some useful links I have found with quick googling: East Elevation: and HUMONGOUS .png file here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5e/East_Pedestal_Elevation_-_Statue_of_Liberty%2C_Liberty_Island%2C_Manhattan%2C_New_York%2C_New_York_County%2C_NY_HAER_NY%2C31-NEYO%2C89-_%28sheet_19_of_36%29.png All 4 elevations and HUMONGOUS .png here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/11/North_Elevation%2C_East_Elevation%2C_South_Elevation%2C_West_Elevation_-_Statue_of_Liberty%2C_Liberty_Island%2C_Manhattan%2C_New_York%2C_New_York_County%2C_NY_HAER_NY%2C31-NEYO%2C89-_%28sheet_15_of_36%29.png Surprisingly all of these plans and many more can be found on Wikimedia Commons (scroll to the bottom of the page): http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:0P-Pedestal_Floor_Plan_-_Statue_of_Liberty,_Liberty_Island,_Manhattan,_New_York,_New_York_County,_NY_HAER_NY,31-NEYO,89-_(sheet_4_of_36).png And very very useful measurements data here:

Right. Even it allows for further desaturation
  5. First of all thank you for being so accepting about adding old details on it. Second, I would go with the third option, because I strongly believe it would look nice and that it must have been somewhat similar color scheme before 50s like after. The details might have looked darker because of that NY soot that we see on the rock and ESB in first color pics after WW II. Either way it's impressive and greatly appreciated. EDIT: I keep forgetting, Click on the images for the full size. Some of them are quite big and useful.
  6. Jason's BATs & Tutorials

Well there aren't as many WIPs as I expected them to be. You can do this really quick unless you get distracted. But so many of them are such gems. I am really excited to see what will come off first. And what new things you'll be starting after you finish WIPs
  7. This looks so awesome! I'm really excited about this project.
  8. Amazing Heblem. Just when we thought it's long gone, you revive the SInger building! However, I'm not sure if you knew this detail, but the building was stripped of its Beaux-Arts ornaments at some point. Therefore, since you're recreating it, I'd like to see them re-done and to see this building in its full glory. Please consider adding these details. Here are some reference pics: Also consider that it was w2w on two sides, so it's basically a corner building. Great job and looking forward to seeing more!
  9. NYBT Barton Paul

AWESOME!  Thank you Aaron for keeping the team alive and enriching our cities!
  10. JP Schriefer's BATs

Here are floor plans of the 22 old slip for double checking. http://32oldslip.com/availability.php
  11. Looks awesome! Great job AAron. You keep going steady no matter what. RESPECT!
  12. Singidunum Journal 02

Dobar pocetak. Ima puno potencijala i mesta za napredovanje kako budes polako ovladavala modovima i tehnikama.    Nice start. Looking forward to seeing more!
  13. http://imagesus.homeaway.com/mda01/7e360f12-4e66-4f4e-8c71-4ab3e015f062.1.10 http://imagesus.homeaway.com/mda01/4c041d84-ae19-4b70-aa1a-1f2a8e61f624.1.10 Quick search gave that. Try looking up surrounding buildings and views from inside of them. Since a hotel is located inside 2 Times Square, the chances are weak you'll find a floor plan. In the next few days I will try my beast to dig up some photos, but I can't promise because I don't have a regular access to a computer nowadays Great job and I'm really happy you're doing this.
  14. Hey folks, thank you for your interest in my projects. Unfortunately I had some RL issues that disabled me from working on my projects for time being. I promise to return and finish all that I've started as soon as I stabilize my life and current situation. Be sure, all of my BATs will be available for you to download some time in the future. Thank you for understanding, Vlasky
  15. Great color variations! Love the BAT! But I second SimCoug's question!

OMG! You're doing it!!! This is beyond awesome! Great job!!
  17. Sadly, Anotn has been M.I.A. for a year and a half now. Therefore, in future, please refrain from bumping old threads. Till Anotn comes back, this thread is locked.

  21. Sølvhavn Waterfront, Knappenål

    This looks awesomeeee!
  22. SIRs Viennese BATs

It looks really good. However, I do have couple of things to say. Where are the light sources for this light on the tower? Plus those look like some massive reflectors being pointed at the buildings. Maybe consider few smaller ones? Second things is where you plan on having large transparent glass surfaces, you might as well make some "furniture" and place it in those spaces. And finally, rather than having checker white and black windows on the base, consider having floors inside with some material, also use script for blinds (I think the script's name is fassadeblinds) and use a ground plane and a suitable image for it to achieve reflections on the glass. I'm really looking forward to HQ European architecture. It's time European BATs grow apart from g-max
  23. nybt-forum-threads Seraf's Atelier

Well that's what I call an improvement. Still, I'd consider lowering the number of plans. You don't want it to be an overkill.
  24. It looks amazing! I love it! You know my favorite are E shaped buildings!!
  25. SBS Materials

Amazing job darn!!! I will have to try out these tutorials. Maybe I'll conquer my fear of classical buildings
