  1. Is RRW different?

Hi @MarkShot My youtube channel probably needs some cleanup. At the very least a de listing. I have gone away from videos for early development. The most that I will be compiling is secret weapon videos. Some clips attract trolls____. (Not you however) So I'm going to delist some videos. Thanks. I sometimes get followers but I think is time to get with the times. On another note. Signals are something I am working towards for the RRW and HRW. Thanks -Eggman121 (NAM Team Member) Edit: De-Listed a number of videos

The HRW uses the same texture set as the RRW now since duplicate textures are a pain to make. IIRC I did upload the dedicate pieces for HRW. (That is the alternate geometries) for @rivit and @rsc204 to add to the Reskin repository. The sticking point was the crossings. Granted there is only one level crossing type in the HRW set so it should be pretty simple to add in. I have been quite busy with work lately so I do apologies for the delay on response. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)

Sorry for the delay. Here is a patch set for the affected issue. Drag and drop the "~NetworkAddonMod_Patches" into the plugins folder. With the "HybridRailway_Texture-Sets_LevelCrossing" patch, only one file needs to be selected corresponding to Drive side and EU or US. Thanks -eggman121 ~NetworkAddonMod_Patches.zip HybridRailway_Texture-Sets_LevelCrossing.zip
  4. I was just looking at this literally the other day and came across the program suggested above. There is an open source alternative Called "Magpie" however I would have to get a copy of Lossless Scaling to find a comparison but I think the program Magpie for scaling is just as good for the purposes we need. Thanks for bringing this to the communities attention @Turnstyled This will be really useful for people who would like to use a scaling program for high DPI monitor. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)

Indeed the HRW reskin update will be available upon the Release on NAM 43 since By virtue the new Textures will for the HRW will be based on the Reskin. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)

I,m going to chime in here. The RRW re-basing has caused alot of issues with the DBE. One thing I did a couple of cycles ago to help with the DBE X RRW is the ability to draw a road than with a RUL1 edit draw over that road land bridge with rail. Try drawing a diag road bridge and than draw over that with rail and see if that helps. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)

The reason for the 4x4 footprint was to fit the old FLEX Fly foot print watermarking to when the original models were made if that makes any sense. I am open to the idea of wider Curved FLEX Heights when I finish up with some in progress projects. The planned variant are both R2 and R3 MRC geometry with the former being 90 and 45 degrees while the latter being 45 only. -eggman121 (NAM Team member)

Part of making the D0 issue was trying to fit Swordmaster's geometry to my geometry. GIMP radial bend and @rivit's bender I believe operate in different ways. One idea I have is to make purpose C0s to fit the D0s that are mismatching. Thoughts encouraged. -eggman121

This is the Reskin for the Hybrid Railway for the Network Addon Mod 39 (NAM 39) There is one texture set that can be used to make the Reskin but other textures for Ballast Sleepers and Rails can be used (This is encouraged). Instructions to Make Up this Mod Dependencies RVT's Program GoFSH is required to make this mod the current version of writing is (GoFSH 3.6.1) It can be found on the link below. GoFSH Editor You will need the current version of the Network Addon Mod for this mod to show up in game (NAM 39) Please read the points for installing this program on the link above. Before starting - For the HRW Reskin mod you will need about 500MB of space that is freely available on the drive the mod is on. This mod will take about 3MB of space per varient. Future updates will mean a larger mod. This mod is not quite up to the scope of the RRW Reskin. It is designed to reskin the HRW only. Quotes donate that the text was taken from "RVT's" Readme so due credit is given. WARNING: "The scope of this mod means the runtimes are sizeable - it will run fine while you do something else. However the script window stays topmost so move it away to left or right before starting (or if you're on Win10 use a separate desktop). Once the script window is open you can't move the GoFSH window underneath".(RVT 2019) Good Luck - its worth the wait. You need GoFSH 3.6.1 or later to make this Reskin. To reskin the HRW Run the "(Make HRW 1- REDIT Rail SleeperBallast.txt)" file in GoFSH - select your Rail, Sleepers and Ballast - all rail changes Outputs are put into _Install, these are designed to go into Z___HRW Reskin. There will be Three outputs for the base L0 (All required) and Three optional Elevated Texture sets (Choose A B or C). 1)HybridRailway_Textures_DTR 2)HybridRailway_Lot_Support_DTR 3)HybridRailway_Level_Crossings_DTR 4)EL_HybridRailway_(A-B-C)_DTR (Note: Only one of these sets are required) A=Original structural Texture. B=JPN Moonlight Texture. C=Iron Girder and column Texture. (One of these will cover the 99% of the textures used in the Elevated HRW componetry) '==== INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTALLER BUILD ====================== if you are making multiple use-ready sets then archive the contents of the _Install folder for each variant between runs. "It is preferable these not be distributed via the fansite websites due to their size. If you are to be a distributor use Onedrive/Dropbox and advertise the link. Always supply the Rail, Ballast and Sleeper Textures used to make the variant to your end user, so they can make things themselves to match." (RVT) Many Thanks to (RVT) and (rsc204/MGB204) for there input into the reskin project. The key difference with the HRW mod as oppose to the RRW is that it uses a common C0 of Colour Alpha for most of the textures resulting in better customization of the textures. I should have a solution this afternoon AEST. Just need to tinker with Irfanview's colour replacement tool in the Batch conversion/ Rename section. -eggman121
  12. Show us your Railroads!

Bit of Hybrid Railway Development here. I'm sure that @reg may appreciate these as well as @RipRap and @art128 They are some of the people that I can think of who make Japanese themed cities. Many thanks to Uki Sim for the Gmax model he supplied eons ago. I would not have been able to make the poles without his work! Safe to say that these will make it into NAM #43 Thanks! -eggman121

Thanks @rsc204 & Hi everyone. I see this as a beta release for arguments sake so if there are any issues please post a screenshot and tag me in and I will try to follow up with updates. The reason for this is that I did find some issues, Mainly irfanview garbling up some of the -D0s But for now, Enjoy. Best. -eggman121

Thanks for the prompt response @rivit I have attached the erroneous files so you can have a look. Just unzip them into the 5D56 DTR FARR folder in the reskin. Be sure the back up the former first. I am keen to see your findings. Thanks again. -eggman121 5D56 DTR FARR.zip

Hello @rivit I seem to be experiencing some issues with the C0/D0 pairs applying the wrong base texture to the Green and Cyan D0s as shown below. I am currently using the latest beta build of GoFSH for the texturing and am wondering if the textures are a bug on my files or within the program itself? Any information or direction will be helpful. -eggman121

@rivit Good work on the updated bender and GoFSH program. Especially loving the Diagonal S-Bend options in the new build. FYI for everyone, For the time being I have paused on non-essential NAM work to focus on the Reskin and update it to what it should be. Below is an example of the difference between the two types of Rail. The S-Bend diagonal (Which is about to be converted) is the original texture set while the R3 bend is there as well as the switches which are much more defined in terms of there components. I am probably being a bit OCD about this but in the long run I think the project will be worth it. Being the texture of the RRW following on from Sword master's original work I have the bender radii for the curves and switches. That being said The minicurves have been fully updated to the new standard. If anyone would like to try it out I could get a sampler ready for alpha testing. I hope to get this package out in the not too distant future. Comments are welcome. Again @rivit and @rsc204 as well as others have been great supporters of this project and I hope to get the package completed in a timely manner. Alas RL has been taking a huge amount of my time so steady as she goes. -eggman121 (NAM team member)

Glad you are enjoying the rails of the Real Railway Mod. I always get a kick when people use some of the items I was involved in making I hope you can enjoy what is in store in the future. -eggman121 (Stephen) (NAM Team Member)

Looks like the original Paths for the R2 Switch have not been adjusted for LHD yet. I will fix them now. I had to edit the geometry of the R2 Curve and switch to avoid the kinked bend on the diagonal section. Thanks for the pickup. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member) Edit: @CaptCity & @Henry Crun I have updated the file to include the R2 paths that were redundant from previous builds. The Rail Item have been suffering in terms of LHD support since I use RHD in my cites even though I am in Australia which LHD. Suggestions about items that can be improved are always welcome. So if there are any issues please let me know. Thanks. zzz_RRW-LHD-Paths-0.3.zip

Thanks for the update Dave Attached are the Pieces for the RRW LHD. I had a feeling that some pieces where missing. Please test and if they work Please let me know so I can incorporate the paths into the next NAM. Also let me know if any other paths are missing. Paths are attached to this post. -eggman121 (NAM team Member) RRW-LHD-Paths-0.1.zip

Hi, The new implementation will be a cross between the two. That is, you can draw the ortho, diag and eventually Fractional Angle segments but a Flex piece or a starter will be required to make the new GLR. Flex pieces will include curves, switches and some other fancy arrangements. -eggman121 (NAM Team member)
  24. Show us What you're Working On

Thank you everyone who pressed like on the previous post. I will be looking for LOTers and BATers for what is an extension to the Hybrid Railway Mod. Essentially I have made some exemplars and made some FLEX Pieces for making a Light Rail Variation of the GLR to make a metro style network. Since this mod is using the same models and textures as the HRW it should be in step with the updates to the HRW so new content will be added progressively to the mod. I have not named it yet and since it is a slight variation I am open to the new Light Rail name. One name springs to mind is RMLR or Real Metro Light Rail For the record, I have not changed the files of anything else so this is a pure addition, (Not a Replacement) of the Light Rail or GLR. Many thanks to Arne or @vester_DK for the Automata shown in this Picture. -eggman121 (NAM Team Member)
