  1. Amazing release! I have a question though.. is there a way you guys choose what content to publish? or is it just decided based on what CO proposes? To be honest, I would love to have a content pack based on train stations.. like St. Pancras, Grand Central.. maybe a Amsterdam Centraal.. I know some stations were made.. like Grand Central, but maybe give it a little more detail like the buildings you released.. just an idea..
  2. Fantastic job once again..! I honestly don't have "observations" but, really? no soccer field? Are you really telling me no one enjoys a good old -13 degrees match on a snowy day? That is totally unbelievable.. I'm sorry.. you went completely unrealistic there bud!
  3. Nice! Long no time no posting.. It looks good, I enjoyed it.. short and sweet, amazing!
  4. AMA with German CO developer

Are there any plans on increasing the limits? are there any future plans in terms of production/import/export simulations? (something like a transport fever kinda thing). And finally, are there any plans to make DLC that contain real life buildings? (things like world's famous train stations, or landmarks).. thanks for heads up and Im really hoping to see how the whole interview goes!!
  5. Elevated rail above blvd

I would say anarchy. Just press ctrl + A, chirper will gain some weight, and voila, now you can freely build with no restrictions at all.
  6. Fellas, remember to stay on topic. Depending on what part of the world you come from, you might have different perspectives, please respect other people's opinions. Again, the topic was (even though I find it somewhat irrelevant at this point, due to the fact that the main points were already given and most of us agreed that those are the main factors) "CO losing contact with their customers"... please let's stay within the topic's boundaries.
  7. =) it wasn't directed to you.. But yeah.. I know what you mean.. But it really is driving me insane! Since the creation of that thread about CO losing contact with their customers, people are going insane complaining about the game..
  8. I really am starting to get sick of this ranting posts. What is wrong with people? People complain about realistic city simulation.. well go outside and play the real life challenge. Do you even know how hard it is to actually administrate a city? do you really think it's possible to put a game together in which you, a casual player will have the ability to go ahead and become a tax expert, a management expert or a law expert? how do you think the real life city is being managed? by someone clicking around? If you want to have a realistic engine, dream on! it will never happen due to the fact that something like that would never sell!! Wake up! we are complaining about a genre that barely gets any attention from the gaming world, and you are asking to have it as messed up as possible just so you can then complain that the game is too hard? How many people in here are politics experts? how many people in here have a masters degree.. you know, so you can be a successful mayor and have a realistic experience..? Give me a break! This is a game-changing mod in a way that the game is meant to be.. a GAME! if you don't like it, don't play it, or move on to a better game (which won't be happening probably for the next 5 years).. come on fellas.. keep it cool and enjoy.. if it's not too challenging, then find the challenge.. create something different, play in a different way.. try new things in the game.. The last thing we need here is a division among players.. what we need to do is find a way to work things out.. with mods. If they gave us the ability to change things around, then lets do it.. We have great modders in here, let's get there.. let's get together and work things out!
  9. I've been playing the game for some time now.. around 250 hours. I have to admit that the points presented here are true, and of course, all valid. But at the same time I feel like we always have this conversation in the forums, yet no company seems to get it right.. I wonder if we are asking for something that can't be actually accomplished(?) I mean, with SC4 we were happy with the simulation, right? well, not really.. I remember a lot of people complaining about the fact that cars disappeared, and people weren't "real" enough. Then we said, alright, I'll take the simulation, but man I wish we could have 3D graphics.. and so on.. and there will always be something we complain about. My point is, is there a perfect city builder? no.. and sadly there will never be one. The reason for that? easy! Every person has a different goal and a different way of seeing the game. Some people will focus on the aesthetics, some will focus on the simulation, and heck some will start with one and then move on to the other option.. In the end, we gotta thank modders for extending the usability and adding great content, but honestly, by now, I rather enjoy what's available than hope for something that might never come at all.
  10. Episode 17 is amazing! I really enjoyed it a lot! and the end result is definitely better than the old station.. also the garden turned out very good as well!
  11. Amazing! So much done.. I really enjoy the series a lot.. I know I always have the same speech, but I really do.. Keep it up bud!
  12. Good one! Pretty entertaining.. and I like the spot you chose for it! It would be nice if we were to have an actual simulation for animals too, right? Again, fantastic work!
  13. I just wanna say thank you... this is awesome! I can't believe we are actually getting all this content.. this is the kind of work that really takes the game to a whole new level!
  14. Can you link your latest video here? Amazing pictures by the way.. and I really enjoyed episode 13! Thanks for the mention.. and trust me.. no need to google Havel, it is the name of a German river, but I thought it would fit the theme.. Again, great episode! Love the small town, specially what you did with the "center" area, and the theme looks perfect!
  15. The British Challenge so far..

It's amazing! I still remember the first episode.. all the farms, and to be honest, it turned out great! I enjoy every single update! Keep it up bud!
  16. The Cities Skylines British Challenge

Good ending for the shopping area.. I enjoyed this one as well! Looking forward to the next project. Btw, do you have the "move it" mod? it works like the node editor you mentioned in the beginning, but it also lets you rotate buildings, which would allow for a more natural flow in the buildings. In any case, again, keep em coming, I really like your work!
  17. You bet on that! I follow every thursday and sunday! Now, my only recommendation would be for you to post in the same thread, that way people can follow in here too! If you post your videos in here as a different thread every thursday and sunday, people wont recognize it as the same series.. see if you can do that, Im sure more people will follow.
  18. Watched it, and I like the videos you post. A lot of cities resemble American cities and the fact that we have a more European feel in this one is great! Now, for the name, I was thinking maybe giving a name to your river first. So I searched for some river names and Havel sounded good... so the district could be something like Havelplatz.. just an idea.. hope you like it!
  19. Show us your Detail Shots

I see some buildings in here that I'm not sure if I've seen them before.. I like it!
  20. The Cities Skylines British Challenge

Good episode! I like the transition between the "make believe" shopping center (I laughed at that moment in your vid) and the town center. Although, for the first time, there is something that I really don't like. I do share your concern about the lack of British assets, but honestly, the wallace and the other one (cant recall the name) look out of place to me. I loved the episode, some great ideas, but please, do something with those malls
  21. Show us your Detail Shots

Will we have it too? or is it a personal asset?
  22. The Cities Skylines British Challenge

Pretty cool! Longer videos.. hmmm, I really enjoyed it, and I wouldnt complain about it because Im following.. to be completely honest with you, 15, 30, or 45 minutes, I dont care! Your videos are very entertaining!!! Keep em coming.
  23. The Cities Skylines British Challenge

Watched it, and I must say it was very interesting! About the names.. I guess I usually have the same problem as you do right now.. although I might put a list just for the sake of it =P
