Hello! Can someone tell me where I can find this building I'm marking on the photo? I just downloaded the' Toshiba' building from Huston, and I see in the photo a building that really catches my eye. Then I'd like to know if that building exists.Thank you in advance!9f0acba56d5bda327d35b1b60fa9856f-toshibapenciltowerbatshowcase---copia.png.1ced033780553088405644c3ae087293.png

Hi, I don't know whether this is the right place for this but I'm having troubles with the Jenx's square of the Hotel de Ville, I've tried several times the dependencies' list and I have it all, however, I think there is some issue with Jenx's trees. I've checked and someone mentioned I should download them from someone else for they were available here but as you see...
2q8o6s5.png

Any clues here of what I might have missing? I've tried trying to see if the game showed the name of the missing dependencie but nothing, also check the back, the trees grow. Thanks in advance!

Well, it looks like, that the SC4Model file from a Prop called JENXPARIS_QS_PlanterProp1 is missing. The IID is: 0x5ad0e817-0x9b625bdc-0x00030000.But it looks like, that the missing model is not in one of the files, that come with the lot nor listed in the dependencies. This happens sometimes, forgotten dependencies in the Readme! I did some research about this Prop, but I wasn't able to locate it yet. What you could do is, open the lot in LotEditor and replace the Prop with a different one that has a SC4Model file around and safe it or just remove it intirely.

Or maybe anybody else knows, where this SC4Model file is hidden?!*:8)

Kind regards!

I'd love to do that, how can I modify the file? I have no experience whatosever in the process, could you please guide me or else, point me to any topic here that might help me to discover how to do it without breaking the game... again? (I almost did that once in the process of switching the trees mode). Thanks in advance!

1. First of all you need to get the LotEditor or PIM-X (Third-Party-Tool) to work.

2. Empty and backup all your files in your <YourUsername>\SimCity 4\Plugins folder, assuming, that you're working with a Windows OS. The reason for that is, that the LotEditor/PIM-X will load all files, that are left in your Plugins folder and will crash, if there are too many files in that folder.

3. Copy the files, you wanna edit, and ALL it's dependencies (also the ones you want to place new on that lot) in the Plugins folder.

4. Start LotEditor/PIM-X, open the lot you wanna edit and go to work. The LotEditor comes with a manual for further information. You'll find it in the SimCity 4 installation folder called Lot Editor Manual.htm.

If you don't have both the tools, look here:

https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?page=9

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2260

You also should take a look here:

Note: if you wanna use PIM-X (a Third-Party-Tool), you need to take a look here:

https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=9279.0

It can be a liitle tricky to make it work, but it's worth it. I use acutally both the LotEditor and PIM-X for my projects. Both have advantages/disadvantages, so I figured a mixed use works best for me.

If you have any troubles, let us know, especially, what version of OS/SimCity 4 you are using and the patch level you have.

Good luck and have fun! Kind regards!

Hi!

Those are textures, props - Dependencies, not plopable items. Other plopable items can use the above listed stuffs as dependencies. However if you familiar with the Maxis Lot Editor Tool or the PIM-X tool, you can make your own parking lots using these textures packs.

Altough you might be looking for these:

These are, what I listed here, the plopable parking sets, but they are using the texture packs what you listed above. You will find these modular parking pieces into your ingame Park Menu, and some pieces will show up in the Misc Transportation menu.

I hope it helps! :)

@velrox AFAIK those two files you have downloaded are just texture packs, and therefore they do not include lots. They're just a dependency for other lots.

However, there is an extension set that uses many of those textures, so you can plop these to make modular parkings, albeit it doesn't include FA pieces, just diagonals.

Hope this helped you! *:)

EDIT: Haven't seen @Tyberius06 's post, that is way more complete than mine

Recently back to trying to play SimCity4 and recreate some of the data I once had.  A couple of crashed computers ( and also an internal and  external hard drive crashes) ago,  has left me trying to find some old retro 1950 style gas stations. I don't remember the author but as I recall their was a Richfield and a Mobil station and maybe a couple others.

Tried searching the file exchange here and the Lex over at SC4 Devotion to no avail.  I would appreciate any ideas.

Doing some digging and I wonder if a change in the Quais de Seine is behind the problem? In-short, the original is a dependency for this lot, but the re-mastered v2 of the Quais de Seine may not have used the same prop IDs. In which case, if you had the newer version, it might explain the missing object. Probably worth loading the new version of the tree props that comes with v2 and seeing if there is a planter in that pack you can replace the originals with.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
