Back to Rural Again!

While searching for a paeng lot dependency I came across some slides of his work that you may enjoy or get some ideas from if you haven't seen them already. http://paeng.e-workers.de/gallery/city_journals/album/phpslideshow.php?directory=.¤tPic=0 Buck -

That did it, everything running as designed and with the crates. Thank you again for your Mod. Buck -

Just placed the wmp_spam_ freight_props.dat file directly into the ColossusFarming folder and then next into the directly into the "Plugins" folder, neither had any effect on the boxes. I placed the fz_farmresource.dat also directly into the Plugin file for the second test. Buck -

It's there under my WMP folder. Checked the saved game and the name showing on the brown box is "fz_fieldplops_wmp fruitcrates" , if this helps. -

I have the package up and running using SPAM, FrankU Dutch Farms Maxis Override V 1.0 and DT_Block all Maxis Mods. Everything is running very smooth through several years of test run except during harvest cycles I am getting "brown boxes" for the file "fz_fieldplops_wmp fruitcrates". Have gone back and check props and dependencies and looks OK. Sure possible that I have a conflict but don't have a heck of alot of things in my Plugins and I would no how to find one anyway. I can live with the periodic temporary boxes but thought I would report it back to you. Buck -

The STEX has a subcategory PLEX that have many of the old PEG items repackage by someone else. -
Here is a link the tutorial is over at SC4Devotion not here at Simtropolis: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=907.0 As far as Phillips 66, they use to be nationwide, I haven't seen one for years but I don't travel. Check them out on Wiki. Buck

Back to Rural Again!

I feel your pain!!! I am trying to recover files from two hard drive crashes and a computer. Looking for files i downloaded 10 plus years ago. I am trying to work from STEX, LEX and PLEX searches for familiar author names, but, old memory foggy (I turned 75 on the 4th). Recently downloaded a ton of stuff and came across quite a bit of items you may be interested in but can't think of the right now. If I do I'll reply back. Looks like you are primarily a journal builder and not a growable player, is that correct? Buck BTW there are some fine rapid moving water plops available by several different authors that you may want to use. -

As sort of a follow up, I don't know how familiar you are with Dedgen (he is no longer active) , but here is a link to some of his work over at SC4Devotion https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=5603.0 Also there are some files over there you might like. Look for Chrisadams3997 (also no longer active) in the LEX Again good to see someone doing rural. Buck -
This is a duplicate of a post I made in another area of the board and over at SC4Devotions. I thought maybe in would attract some additional attention here."Found references to the gas stations I am referring to over at Simtropolis in a tutorial file by Ripple Jet called Tutorial: Growing Empty Lots and How to correct them. The lots are by Bobbo662. Here are the names:Old Mobil Service Station - Old Mobil Service Station_6f1cccd4.SC4Lot Old Total Service Station - Old Total Service Station_ef1e581c.SC4Lot Petro-Canada Service Station - Petro-Canada Service Station_4f3747d2.SC4Lot Phillips 66 - Phillips 66_909e6a53.SC4Lot Retro Gulf Station - Retro Gulf_b2194a01.SC4Lot Retro Mobil - Retro Mobil v.3_7232aa15.SC4Lot Retro Texaco Service Station - Retro Texaco_523661b8.SC4Lot If anybody out there still has access to these on their computers or backups, I would very much appreciate having them. These would make a great addition to those wanting to keep some small rural areas in their region.Keeping my fingers cross I will be able to get these again.BTW I don't know how applicable the Ripple Jet tutorial is today but it looks like a great read for those wanting to tweak their lots."Again, these files are not on the LEX or the STEX, looking for fellow SC4'er to search their archives.Buck

Very very cool!! Takes me back some years to dedgen's 3Rivers work. I absolutely love it. Keep it up. Buck -
Recently back to trying to play SimCity4 and recreate some of the data I once had. A couple of crashed computers ( and also an internal and external hard drive crashes) ago, has left me trying to find some old retro 1950 style gas stations. I don't remember the author but as I recall their was a Richfield and a Mobil station and maybe a couple others. Tried searching the file exchange here and the Lex over at SC4 Devotion to no avail. I would appreciate any ideas. Buck
