Does anyone recognize this building? It is somewhere in my plugins folder, and I was looking for the original files in order to change its name to something more descriptive than "Custom Ploppable", but can't find it for some reason.

It looks like Maxis WalkUp Tower, but it should be growable not ploppable.

yeah, this one is an eyecandy landmark on a 1x1 footprint, for some reason. I thought it might be Diego del Llano's WalkUp Tower remake but it definitely isn't because I've never downloaded that. It will have to remain a mystery I guess.

If I recall correctly it's either in the SFBT Essentials or in one of the versions of the NCD Railyard Textures vol01

The white roofed building is a prop by Reddonquixote and can be found in this compilation here:

SC4D LEX Legacy - Reddonquixote Compilation (Dark Night) Version 1-Dark Night (sc4evermore.com)

You will have to lot it yourself though. 

 

Edit: I have to say those trams are fantastic, and the streets and tram-lines, and the dirt sidewalks, and the vehicles, and the power lines, wow! 

I assume they are all props and textures? Does anyone know where most of this stuff is from? I know some of the vehicle props, like the horse carriages, but that tram is cool and what about those street textures?

idk if its the same, but its similar. I also don't know if the google drive link is available anymore, maybe try to contact @noahclem here (his texture is indeed fantastic)

Regarding the power lines - @korver uses a lot of private custom-content. I only know about one mod that gives us power lines in the game as a T21 mod, and its that one - http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/archives/sc4_0856.html - but again, I don't know if korver used it. he problably created that streets using Lot Editor by the way some of the carriage are positioned

I'm not too surprised that the japanese buildings are hard to pinpoint. Some of them look relotted at the very least.

I find it so interesting how common italianate buildings like the following are in our older cities, and yet how uncommon they are on the STEX. There are some tall ones from NYC, but virtually none in the 2 to 4 stories range seen on so many older Main Streets.

I'm looking for a Hybrid Railway terminal station – ideally a smaller one like matt325b's terminal set (one of those pictured here), but any will do as long as they're terminals and enabled for Hybrid Railway (so they work both for monorail and heavy rail)

Officially there is none. Nothing has been released. But multiple is in WIP, many of them based on Matt's models. There is/was a plan to include Matt's station models to the NAM and that would include the creation of Hybrid Rail stations and terminals too. I'm not sure that we made the Mattb325 station terminal models already available, but in any case I might put together a few temporary lot files with HRW specs.

Yo, guys -- *:D

I need to find what may be a very obscure lot……

Many, many years ago – in a galaxy far, far away – I downloaded an old industrial lot.

This thing was some sort of custom-made factory or refinery thrown together out of many old Maxis industrial props, and as many different factories as he could find.

It was pretty well done – but he set it on fire! At the time I was interested in building factories – not burning them down – so I deleted that one. *:party:

BUT -- He used some sort of “animated” smoke&fire “effects” to gradually turn the lot into a roaring inferno.

Now I need to try using his methods to set battleships on fire !!

Can anyone tell me if the original “flaming” industrial lot is still in the game – and where to download it ??

I'm dusting off an old download folder and found a zip file called " MI7_urban_utils.zip". The package does contain images and a readme, but it doesn't mention the author or a 'human readable' name of the package. Does anyone know the source url of this urban set? Google hasn't been helpful (I tried zip name and reverse image search). So I do have the files, I'm only looking for the download link for administrative purposes. Thanks!

Which grass textures? 

First these Delecto's lots and not dk1's. dk1 was not even active by the time Delecto released these models, so I assume that was a typo. 

Second: the textures are coming from the BSC Textures vol01 and BSC Textures vol02, which are available in the BSC Common Dependencies. If you click onto the link on the download page of these houses, it will even divert you to the download page of the Common Dependencies, which clearly lists the BSC Textures as part of the pack. So what textures are lost exactly? The SFBT Essentials (which having the SFBT_ArkenbergeJoe_Texturen.dat) are also available on the SC4Evermore site. That concludes that all the listed dependencies are available for that upload.

Ah. Ok. Well the old LEX links that are part of the Common Dependencies are all divert to the big pack on my end, so if it doesn't do it for you then something is blocking the redirect on your end. The Vortextures haven't been redirected, but they are also available on the SC4Evermore.

If that is ever the case, feel free to 'Report' the upload, and we'll check it over and get the links fixed up if necessary. Going through every upload and checking every link would be a herculean task... ;)
