Either create a z____RRW Reskin (this was used before NAM v37 when there was still a z___NAM folder) or zRRW Reskin (it should be sufficient too) folder, then copy all the files from the ZIP into the folder. 
Then remove/delete the files which are not matching with the set-up as your game and your NAM works. For example IF you have a US/non-EU install with the NAM (you can check this in the Network Addon Mod\8 Texture and Drive Side Support\ folder which one you have - US or EU) you can remove everything which has _EU at the end of the file name. If you have EU settings, then you need to remove the files ending _US. Also you need to keep the files dependending on which driving side you use: RHD or LHD. KEEP everything which doesn't have these post markings.

I don't understand. This seems way over my head. I have to go into my NAM folder and delete stuff? And I have no clue what drive side is. Do I create a new folder in NAM or my plugins folder? Everything in Texture and Drive Side Support says "US_Common_". There is a sub folder called "US_RightSide".

SimCity loads your plugins folders by alphabetical order. He's asking you to put the files in a folder with a name that makes sure it will load after the original NAM folder, so put, as he said, in something like zzz_____NAM, z_________NAM, zzzzzz_______NAM, and etc

And if you're using the US roads skin, delete the EU folder. If you're playing with RHD, (the standard in the US, Canada, continental Europe and etc) delete the LHD folder.

The Network Addon Mod folder should not be changed. You must create the z____RRW Reskin or zRRW Reskin folder in the Plugins folder (Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins).

What is the root of my plugins? Do you mean the plugin folder in the actual installed folder or the one in documents?

Okay. I deleted those. What about the folder "Lot Support"? Do I put those files in z____RRW Reskin too? Does z____RRW skin have to be in documents? Literally every mod I've installed for SC4 is in the game's plugin folder. I install all my games on a 4TB external drive in a folder called "Games," so if Windows bugs out or crashes, I won't lose my game data.

Yes. As I told, you copy everything from the ZIP, then remove ONLY the listed files.

The vast majority of the players are using the Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins for ALL the plugins. You however have a different set-up. Please, next time start with this information, that you have a different set-up and you are using a specific folder for the plugins. In your case MOVE the z____RRW Reskin folder into the same Plugins where you have the Network Addon Mod folder.

Hi everyone, 

I need some help in getting this mod to work.

I installed all the dependencies (the contents of F-15 and T-6 (Made by Tabinohito) Dropbox link is fetched from WebArchive: https://web.archive.org/web/20150109193156/https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9300614/Tabi/Tabi.zip)

However, upon firing up SC4, the AFB is still the old one, no new props of F-22, F-15 etc. appear.

I tried to add a zzz prefix to the LOT file and restart SC4, the result is still the same. The props won't appear. Is it because of some ID conflicts or is it due to something else?

P.S. The Maxis Night version of the Chase Phoenix Tower fail to load properly (a big brown box will appear). Only the darknight version is working properly.

Bulldoze the lot then replace it. Props do not appear automatically like textures and overrides - the lot needs to be re-plopped.

Just tested this from a fresh download and it worked without issues. Are you sure you have the Maxisnite model? Check for a file called DK35_ChaseTower_Phoenix_MN-0x5ad0e817_0x21e0ef1a_0x30000.SC4Model.

As for the Chase Phoenix tower, yea that is the file. 

Looks like I should test out on a fresh installation of SC4. Might be my problem then...

Ok. Spent some time investigating this. The only way I was able to get to appear was to add Plugin_007_AirForceBase.DAT to the plugins folder in your game install directory (this happens to be the default location that the simcity4_bonus_cd.exe installs that file)

Side note - thanks for the heads up on the broken links. I'll get those updated as the Tabi props have been re hosted as part of an effort to ensure that legacy content is still available.

Where did you see this BSCBATPropsMattb325_Vol04.dat?

As far as I know there has never been prop pack by that name (except if someone renamed something). The Mattb325_PropPack_Vol04 should be the same.

Hm... Yeah, these "vol04" releases are the same regardless of the naming whether it is called BSC BATProps Mattb325 vol04 or Mattb325 BAT Props Vol04 or Mattb325 Prop Pack vol04. The thing is that this Vol04 is actually a remastered version of the original BSCBATProps Mattb325 vol01. The models and props are running under different IDs, so they don't do conflicts. Between 2007-2013 his uploads including the prop packs were running under the BSC trademark. However the BSC effectively kind of closed shop in 2013 even if some of their content creators stayed active or later returned, like recently Jestarr. So when Mattb325 returned in 2015 he released his contents without the BSC brand.***

***OKAY... So, checking the upload, I saw my own review/comment about the dependency list, that was later used and that (BSCBATPropsMattb325_Vol04) naming actually coming from me :D :D I was renaming for myself and when I hunted down the list for nos17 I used the naming that I used for my own. Sorry for the confusion. The proper name for the ZIP/folder used to be Mattb325_PropPack_Vol04.zip and the file name is Mattb325_PropPack_Vol04.dat.

Hm... For sure none of the listed dependencies are responsible for any missing "hover over building names". I mean they have no relation to the name. It's a wild guess, but the hover over names are comming from the building exemplar's Item Name property or its LTEXT (User Visible Name Key) version. However if I recall correctly that's not a common property with growables if the building exemplars were made by PIM-X. Also props can have name if they have this Item Name or its LTEXT version. Dependencies are 98% responsible for textures and props and for the main building model on a lot. The 2% of dependencies can be custom queries/UI-s, but it is less common.

Hm... Yeah, these "vol04" releases are the same regardless of the naming whether it is called BSC BATProps Mattb325 vol04 or Mattb325 BAT Props Vol04 or Mattb325 Prop Pack vol04. The thing is that this Vol04 is actually a remastered version of the original BSCBATProps Mattb325 vol01. The models and props are running under different IDs, so they don't do conflicts. Between 2007-2013 his uploads including the prop packs were running under the BSC trademark. However the BSC effectively kind of closed shop in 2013 even if some of their content creators stayed active or later returned, like recently Jestarr. So when Mattb325 returned in 2015 he released his contents without the BSC brand.***

So, checking the upload, I saw my own review/comment about the dependency list, that was later used and that (BSCBATPropsMattb325_Vol04) naming actually coming from me :D :D I was renaming for myself and when I hunted down the list for nos17 I used the naming that I used for my own. Sorry for the confusion. The proper name for the ZIP/folder used to be Mattb325_PropPack_Vol04.zip and the file name is Mattb325_PropPack_Vol04.dat.

Hm... For sure none of the listed dependencies are responsible for any missing "hover over building names". I mean they have no relation to the name. It's a wild guess, but the hover over names are comming from the building exemplar's Item Name property or its LTEXT (User Visible Name Key) version. However if I recall correctly that's not a common property with growables if the building exemplars were made by PIM-X. Also props can have name if they have this Item Name or its LTEXT version. Dependencies are 98% responsible for textures and props and for the main building model on a lot. The 2% of dependencies can be custom queries/UI-s, but it is less common.

Aha! Classic worlds of order colliding situation. Reminds me how the USA should have gone to the metric system hundreds of years ago. The ship carrying the standardized meter and kilogram was sunk, by pirates iirc

I downloaded Cori's Parks Aura mod, which is great.

Parks aura is good because it assists in residential development, to see if parks are helping out any zoned residential areas.  The similar effect known to me is the Landmark effect, which helps out commercial areas.  

I use landmarks sparingly because they take up lots of space that otherwise could be used for zoned development.  However, I think that it might be useful in the long run to have SOME landmarks that are purely landmarks and not ploppable buildings with jobs, in order to provide the "Landmark effect" for commercial zones.

Is there a mod that can show the Landmark effect, similar to the Parks Aura that Cori and Cyclone Boom made?
