great entry, I enjoy your picture quality. I should give PostProcessFX a shot. If I use Dynamic Resolution I get FPS drops like something else, even though I'd consider my PC to be pretty decent.

SteveManx: What bloom settings do you use?

    Haljackey: Thanks!

Carnivorus: Thank you, as for the traffic it's all about the flow.

iviaarten: Toned down the bordered skylines mod adds alot to the games graphics. Some of the other settings are pretty cool to if you want a flair for the dramatic.

Ultimate727: Thanks a lot! I'm finally getting my mojo with this game after spending so much time on SC4.

max_13: On my computer the graphical lag can be horrendous at times. But then again it is all worth it for taking amazing high quality pictures.

tankmank: Thanks, plus I'm going to grow Brendon quite a bit more.

Entry 24: Kingston Tracks East Side

Elevated rail, suburbs, city blocks and skyscrapers. Starting at the east point of Kingston Tracks, we then move towards the city centre. Enjoy.

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

Yep, definitely needs some elevated stations. Love how you made it looks realistic as well. Plenty of room.

Great pictures, especially #6!   Dat bump though :)

Excellent pictures. You can feel how busy this city must be!

Nice idea to run the train through the city and you did a great job placing the rails.

    Another superb entry!

Any reason why you keep it forum-based, LnX?

I'll never not upvote elevated rails. That bump looks a bit crazy though, have you tried the terraform mod to make it a bit more... survivable?

I see the elevated rail is a hit. I feel weird complimenting it now so I'll just say "I guess it's time to get the pillar mod." (that is how you did some of this, right?). I was avoiding it for some reason.

As for the bloom, I use the one built into Bordered Skylines. It's under the "bonus effects" tab/button. It's possible to use it with or without the borders portion running. I'm still finding my optimal settings. I recently started using the sun mod and it added another layer of adjustment since you can control light intensity and angle with that mod, which effects the way the bloom looks. So i've been going back and forth tweaking lighting. I'll give you my settings for starters but I think you may find you like different settings.

    1. Threshold=0.22  This determines how much light has to hit a surface before it starts to "bloom"

    2. Intensity=0.80  This is how strong the bloom is

    3. Blur Size=3.20  This is how big the bloom is, how far off the surface it emits.

I find areas with dramatic lighting and then sit with the panels open making adjustments. When I like it I go find another spot and see if the settings hold up. If not, more adjustments, rinse and repeat. I have a feeling you do stuff like this already anyway. :P

Any more questions feel free to ask or message me.

Edit: Fixed "Bonus Effects" button from advanced, sorry. Also, I realized I'm using a LUT I made which also likely effects my bloom, so those settings might be horrible with a different setup.

    Tonraq: Thanks a lot!

Linoa06: I'm sure someone will build elevated stations this year.

    iviaarten: Thanks.

Haljackey: It is actually a large rail loop; Kingston Tracks is just one quarter of this rail loop.

Mymyjp: That's the magic of close-ups.

Kim Sunwoo: Because I'm a lazy little bugger, dat's why.

max_13: Survivable! That's a good one! Good idea though, next time I'll get the terraform tool to the land to address that mad bump.

    Ultimate727: Cheers!

    Sansha: Thank you.

Carnivous: The bump of nightmares, the bump of train-genocide.

    89James89: Thanks.

Stevemanx: I didn't use the No Pillers mod for the elevated railway, I used a steady hand instead. Thanks for providing your recommended settings, I will give them a go tomorrow.

Oh yes if you ever see the bottom of the menu bar ingame, get the cursor down to it and click on the CS icon. It properly maximises the ingame screen and considerably bolsters up the framerate- especially when using a lot of graphics mod! I only discovered this today!

    Awesome update!

Because of your update, I got an awesome idea for a mod. Wouldn't it be funny if the cims in your city made selfies all day? Someone should make a '#SELFIE MOD'! :P Unfortunately, I can't mod, but I would like to learn.

TekindusT: It does feel strange, it makes this mayor feel almost... mortal. Almost.

Mr_Maison: The No Pillers mod can make possible limited stretches of elevated rail over roads, but to lay down the elevated rail requires a very steady hand and a lot of patience.

Mymyjp: Thank you, also I hope you get better soon.
