So the elevators, stairs, and bathrooms and things like that are in the building's core, which extends to the blank side. You can see in Paul's version that the blind wall extends all the way to the top of the building like it does in real life, and then there's a separate little bit that sticks out that makes it wall to wall with the adjacent building.

Jasoncw: Oh I got it now. It's been really hard to find good pictures from the w2w face of the building. The best pics I found was in a thread in SkyscraperCity when it was under construction. Thank you very much for explaining

Huston: I guess you're talking about Hearst Tower, right? I never saw a building with so much people wanting to do . I started it thinking I was the only one, so PGVB came here and showed his version, and then on the chat Xyloxadoria said he was going to do it, and now you too. At least people can be sure this building is going to be on STEx! From me or from others

Toothless Stitch: the closest to 'Magnolia Hotel' I found from Jason was the Marietta Hotel.

I will stop updating most BATs because I need to focus at the Maracanã Rio Project while my holidays are not over. The Maracanã and the ramps are 100% modeled, I still need to change some textures but nothing complicated. But there are still important parts of Maracanãzinho to do.

I am from Moscow, Russia, and I want to add to my favorite game many of Moscow's sights such as the Kremlin, Stalin's skyscrapers, Petrovsky Palace, a mansion Morozov, mansion Ryabushinsky, Moscow railway stations and churches and muc. Please tell me in what programs you draw and please describe the general instructions for creating objects for SimCity 4?

Hi, trashsp,
I believe this thread is not the right place to your kind of post. I'll reply you but I suggest you to create a new thread if you need help, so we don't mix things here

To model the buildings you'll need the GMax, the Building Architect Tool (B.A.T.), the Plugin Manager and the Lot Editor. You can find GMax on TurboSquid. The other programs you can find on SC4Devotion. Be sure to first install Gmax, then the B.A.T. and the Plugin Manager will be installed with it, and then Lot Editor.

There are other programs that can be used to model, like 3ds Max and Sketchup, but you'll need the programs I listed above anyway. To know how to proceed after modeling the building you can visit the right support threads on this forum.

I started some buildings while I was traveling, the Palácio do Planalto (Planalto Palace, is where is located the office of the Brazillian President and several other rooms related to the government. Also I'm doing the building where my aunt lives because I like the windows

I'll do two versions to the Planalto Palace, the full lot as I show below (11x11) and a reduced one (9x6) with just  the building itself with the water mirror and the ramp. Both will have custom LODs. About the grass, it will be from the game, the grass texture here is on preview just to show the size of the lot. I just need to choose right textures and do good effects on glass and water

And this is my aunt's building. It's 2x2 but the lot will be 3x3. I'll also do a HD version. A lot of things to do yet D:

It is W2W, @Ln X, 3x2. I was thinking about do the landmark version as it is in RL and the growable version just 2x2, without that lower part. So it could perfectly fit in a very dense city as W2W in a corner, people will just have to look for it with the buildingplop cheat

Oh my goodness! So much amazing work. I'm really excited by the Palácio do Planalto. Brasília has some truly beautiful and ground breaking modernist architecture and of course many buildings from the master architect Oscar Niemeyer. I'm thrilled you're recreating these modernist beauties! Long may it continue, really looking forward to using these in Perseus.

I have several projects in the final stages. The day verison of the Maracana is rendered and I am finishing the night lights. The smaller version of the Planalto Palace is ready and SimCoug is doing the Lot; the full version I'm having trouble, but I must solve soon. The Solar das Paineiras is ready but I also had trouble after rendering, I just need to export again. Anyway, my classes will return on Monday, but I hope to release some BATs in the coming weeks and stop for a while to dedicate myself to the university.

Last days I decided to do some German appartment blocks from Erlangen. Each building will be a prop as SD and HD versions.

Great news, and it was a fantastic (and very productive) summer season for you, take that for granted. Is totally fair that you take a pause for university (I go back to my fourth year tomorrow, and thesis demands all the existent and inexistent time, so I'm relating to your situation very directly).

About the new project, the first thing I thought when seeing the images was "is Schriefer going to make CSL buildings!?", definitely Germany is a very neat country, that photo looks like a model. Those building will be a great addition, specially if someone else gets to the task of lotting it in the thousands of different ways they can be used (I'm thinking in something like Frank's dutch relots). So don't surprise if in a few months, you get complete neigbourhoods of those blocks.
