Lots of cool experimentation of road and building alignment, like park inside buildings.  :)

That skyscraper looks fits in too nicely to be an accident

Amazing. I really like the look/idea of all those bikepaths, alleyways and diagonal parking to fill the area. Also big thumbs up for naming some of the bats/mods.

Also, amazing central station. Is that Amsterdam CS?

That overview of the city is amazing. To me, that canal/river is what makes it stunning, even for low wealth/gritty type of area.

Amazing selection of buildings, that is for sure.

Excellent entry Ln X.

Amazing!

If you don't mind my asking...

  • What train station is the one that's featured in he 3rd picture?
  • In the 5th picture, what are those really gritty/grimy w2w buildings?

YES!!! The bike lanes and alley usage and W2W and parking and cars and the horse ranch in the middle of the city that I imagine is for horse drawn carriage rides. Excellent. It is so good it makes me want to write a run on  sentence!

Hey Ln X, I started reading your CJ yesterday and I just want to say how impressed I am and how much inspiration I am gathering from your work!

I particularly appreciate how you pre-emptively reveal what lots and bats you've used : - )

Fantastic work! Consider me a new regular on your CJs.

TPB: That's great to hear. I post links or name certain mods which I consider essential items for RCI, fillers and realism- it also saves having to post them in replies to.

v701: I am certain you will get there.

    Vitor13: Cheers!

Mymyjp: Thanks a bunch, I always love custom SC4 industry but at the moment I have an obsession with it. The latest thing I'm working upon are industrial canals.

slickbg56: That carpark is Il Tonkso's NDEX ITS Multi Story Carpark-

    Tonraq: Thank you.

mrsmartan: Thanks, I always love sorting out the little details.

tankmank: For me custom industry is the most interesting aspect of the game.

    iviaarten: Thanks.

jacob814: Use ctrl+shift+s to take pictures ingame, then convert the png pictures into jpg ones on the program paint. png pictures are too sharp you see. Upload pictures onto imageshack.

    Update 81: Interchange in Annuq

This is a small update for today folks. No sooner did I complete Weckum than I immediately began work on the next city Annuq, so in this update there will be several pictures of an 8C/6S T-interchange I completed plus two teaser shots of East Annuq's industrial strip.

    The 8C/6S T-interchange.

    2gkscs.jpg

I don't spend much time with RHW because it is so time-consuming, but I still know my way around the various items.

    6SXktr.jpg

Right now I'm trying out the Sudden Valley terrain mod. By removing the Maxis base texture replacement file and raising the entire city tile's height four or five times, this amazing dark green/brown leafy terrain texture appears. You will see a sliver of it in the last two pictures. In the interchange pictures the terrain is greener because I was inadvertently using the Maxis base texture replacement file.

Know your turning lane pieces, they always spice up the RHW.

    EQqzIl.jpg

For some reason whenever I build interchanges I feel compelled to throw in a lake or two in the centre.

For some reason the distribution of the flora to the right reminds me of the Dead Marshes in LOTR.

    8VmZaC.jpg

My latest SC4 obsession are canals and barges.

I would say Annuq -- a 4 by 4 city tile -- should be completed in about ten days time, for some reason it's getting quicker and easier to complete these cities. In the meantime the next several entries will be in Weckum.

    Thanks for viewing.

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Yet another great looking industrial town. All your cities seems to have a very unique feel/atmosphere to them, that's not easy to accomplish at all. Looking forward to seeing more of that canal as well.

Also I almost always see some new building or mod in you cities that I've never seen before. Aside from simtropolis & sc4 devotion, is there any other site that you frequent/recommend for lots?
