Given this is New York, maybe tailgating is just normal here?

With no passing lane, extended sections of MIS are prone to causing road rage, with drivers blaring their horns, flashing their headlights, or tailgating aggressively, to signal their displeasure at the driver in front, who just doesn't feel comfortable driving at 150km/h.

Trouble at the Mayor's House

The Mayor's House of Breezy Point is a historic site, with guided tours 3 times a week, and we hire it out for private functions on Fridays and Saturdays.  Together with two Small Park Greens, it used to make the perfect spot for a wedding, birthday or corporate function, until last Saturday ...

Clearly over-intoxicated sims were found staggering around on the motorway beside the Mayor's House last Saturday afternoon, and police were required to intervene.  Two of them were taken to the local lockup to cool their heels overnight.  Another sim was taken to hospital, and not due to a traffic accident!  

Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.  Traffic was very light that day, but Mayor's House functions have been suspended until further notice.  How these intoxicated individuals manged to climb the concrete walls of the highway remains a mystery.

First time I had a small overcrowd clinic. Second time I had a bigger hospital only 70% full. Now I have an even bigger one only 20%. And she still complains! Is this a bug?

Yep. It's an internal linky bug where it doesn't always jump to the right clinic or hospital even tho there is one (or more) in your city that is over capacity. Use the master list and scroll thru looking at the funding for each to see which one(s) are in need of adjustment.

Hi Cori, what is "the master list"?

I've traditionally used the Health data view and hover approach to look at the Apple scale when it jumps to the wrong hospital.

Open the budget panel (click Simoleon symbol), then click Health and Education, and then click the Eyeball beside the one you want to see (Health or Education).

 

Also works for Fire Dept and Police Dept under Public Safety Department and for Power under Utilities.

You can find it in this site. It's under the Public institutions (hospitals, fire departments, police, power generation, water supply) list and it's named Hiroshima Central Hospital (fictitious).

Looking from another angle:

Pictured at the top we see the experimental QuadroDeluxeStallion® which is hoped to someday be approved by regulators for use as a new mode of local mass transit. However for some reason, people are sceptical this might prove popular, and doubt it'll even get cleared by health and safety executives.

And back to the main feat of engineering, here it is (as Cori would say) zoomiered in a wee bit...

(Previewed using the SizeOf 10 cheat command, whereas the other two pics were half this magnification.)

As visibly pictured, the EsrohColt® runs at a whopping 2 (two) horsepower.

Maximum speed is 40 mph at brisk gallop, though the experimental  PRESTO™ mode increases this to 42 mph during optimal running conditions.

Absolutely, and it is very easy to use also.

SizeOf is a magnification adjuster which can be activated when opening the cheats box using the Ctrl+X keyboard combination.

Then type into the box and press the Enter key:

This is in the format of:

SizeOf #

(It doesn't need the Extra Cheats DLL either, and it's in the game as a default command.)

Capitalisation isn't required, so it could be done in lowercase too. The # can be any number ranging from: 0-64

I've found using the 0 can be useful when wanting to get a wider angle of a scene to capture, and it's something I've used as part of the EPIC technique for centered screenshots when doing comparison pics from the widest zoom level. It then fits slightly more of the city in view. I did try a negative value to see whether that might have the opposite effect, but that didn't do anything and it sees that the same as the zero value.

When setting a custom magnification, entering a new value will set to that upon pressing Enter again. Scrolling the city will be hyper-sensitive when really zoomed in, and it can be reset once scrolling out or pressing a number key (1-6) to switch back to one of the regular zooms.

I've found that with HD content items like as pictured in my prior post, they do reveal details which otherwise wouldn't be clearly viewable like with the horses and riders with their carts. For SD models like in the game as standard, these aren't too useful to see up close, but there are certain possibilities in some cases.

Demolished a bridge while some cars were crossing it, and got an alarming/amusing animation in the style of a Road Runner cartoon. Video:

Real estate speculation has no limits!  They sold dozens of apartments to many naive people at a very low price, but they did not warn that it was an area of a recent nuclear ecatomb!! 

And don't you think that you were just ordinary people! High-end entrepreneurs have also been duped!  This building was built practically weeks after all the radiation was spread!
