Please excuse me while I pick my jaw off of the ground. I want, no... I NEED to have this.

Now, if only the rain and snow could happen at certain dates instead of continuously. That would be epic.

Yeah, when I first saw this over at SC4D, I literally didn't believe that was real SC4 gameplay... It defies all the laws of SC4physics! But, I want it.

Well, I doubt it will grant multi-level water tables. Otherwise, very nice.

Seasonal snow has always been available through the 'snow' command (needs extra cheats dll). Session only.

Oh, I hadn't seen that second one yet.

It's just too incredible, I don't even have words for it.

But I wouldn't be me if I didn't have some critique: Rainbows don't work that way!

Another reason to love Xannepan's work. Not only does he do a fantastic job with BATting old buildings (Paris is his specialitly), but he's also daring to explore new grounds. Therefore, Xannepan is and still remains a legend in our community.

Also, ERMAHGERD FREAKIN' RAINBOWZ!!!1!1!one But where is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? :D

Reminds me of a full-arc rainbow I saw one time. It was Spring 1995, and I was driving along I-40 just east of Flagstaff, Arizona after a rain storm. The rainbow literally arched over the interstate north/south. It was the most incredible sight. Many people were stopping along the highway to take pictures of it.

This is a rainbow which "appeared" to span the Ohio River between my hometown of Cincinnati and Covington, Kentucky. http://mw2.google.com/mw-panoramio/photos/medium/2343536.jpg

    Hi guys,

It's been a while since I have been around here at simtropolis. I saw this topic and wanted to leave a quick comment. Off course to thank you for the nice motivating comments. But the Main reason not to try to raise expectations too high (yet) There are some limitations to this mod, performance impact may be the most important show stopper for slower pc's. I am really stretching the limits here of what can be done with the game, so I also need to make some though choices to balance realism and performance. Moreover despite my new gained knowledge much of the effect dir still remains unknown, and for most part finishing this will require an endless trial and error approach.

Having said that, on a blank large map, as you see in the video I don't see any performance impact on my laptop yet. I hope I soon have a beta release for testing available.

    Cheers,

    alex

Keep up the good work, Alex.

I am probably the most oddball operator of any since I run on Linux. If you need a beta tester with a weird set up, let me know.

I can only run in software rendering due to a problem with buffer switching in the wine (Windows Executive) layer of the operating system, but will be happy to co-operate if you wish.

Is it going to affect the city...kinda like when a tornado is initiated? I mean is it actually going to cover the ground with snow, or make puddles when it rains?

I think my pants went wet...

And at the base, there was text that read as follows: "I'm Ramses II, Pharaoh of Egypt. Those who question my authority, look at all I've built, and stand corrected!" All that is around is sand.
