  1. Can't find it?... Ask here!

This is a longshot, but does anyone have all the screenshots from Huston's Mass Effect: Beyond city journal? It was one of my favorite city journals back in the day; very well done sci-fi, but sadly almost all the screens seem to be lost https://community.simtropolis.com/journals/journal/3841-mass-effect-beyond/ Also, if anyone has the full size images of Ionica from here, that would be greatly appreciated as the links also appear to be dead: https://community.simtropolis.com/journals/entry/27496-82-show-off/
  2. 1- From Boondock to Boomtown

Log- This place is a bit of a paradise with flowing hills, lush rain forests, and untouched wilderness literally blocks away from urban sprawl, I cannot tell you the amount of tourists that flock here during the fall. I'm seeing these kit houses being built in the thousands throughout Ridgeworth and Gallaghresville. Everyone wants a piece of land, but can the country sustain that? It seems this population increase isn't all that great though. I used to live in Liberty Heights, an old industrial city right across the river. It seems that with every nice new house constructed, a row-house is boarded up and and a piece of history fades. People are leaving this rusty city in droves.
  3. I've noticed that the majority of city journals bear resemblance to European cities (not that there is anything wrong with that) and the few exceptions are Japanese, Middle-Eastern, or American styled. Mediterranean towns and French-style apartments sure look nice, but are there any breaks from traditional architectural styles and settings? I would like to see Mayan pyramids, Polynesian architecture, west African mosques, Thai palaces, Rajasthan Temples, indigenous structures, etc. I know there have been a handful of SC4 cities in exotic locations but it upsets me when baroque palaces and clay tile houses dominate the image. So without further adieu... does anyone have any non-European/colonial SC4 screens or city journals.
  4. Wow! You are recreating Coruscant for SimCity 4? In all honesty, it looks cool but no sane person would want to live remotely close to it. In other words, this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kowloon_Walled_City

Does anyone know where I can find antique car props for Sc4. My city takes place in the 1930s, and it would look so much better if older cars were driving around.
  6. Why should the person above you be banned?

Edit: Whoops, I was looking at the first page. Banned for being a "Foot Soldier".
  7. Please excuse me while I pick my jaw off of the ground. I want, no... I NEED to have this. Now, if only the rain and snow could happen at certain dates instead of continuously. That would be epic.
  8. Nation of Usonia

Now, here's a quick break from the comparatively mild climates of Usonia. Welcome to the most isolated city on Earth...
  9. Nation of Usonia

Replies: @ Republic Master & Vivapanda Thanks, that was what I was going for, glad I accomplished it. @ Jason Leo & Schulmanator Thanks, I am glad you like it. There should be an update tomorrow. I just need help deciding on the location of this because I am terrible at deciding, should the region be located in Maine, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, or off the coast of Maryland/Virginia?
  10. Why should the person above you be banned?

Banned for an antithesis username. Luigi is not a Mama, nor is he 945!
  11. ^I would have to disagree about the U.S. descending into anarchy. The country as a whole is becoming more liberal and educated. Inequalities are decreasing. Oil prices may shoot upward (but it'll be good in the long run). The problem with situations like this are: a. Some people are impossible and have no comprehension of good or evil. Therefore it is impossible to detect who is and isn't crazy. Increased security would work, but restrict our rights at the same time. b. The situation isn't as simple as banning guns or increasing security. I'm all for stricter regulations myself (There is no reason for a civilian owning an m-16), but the majority of murders are committed in urban areas by people involved in crime. Should Detroit or Louisiana be representative or the rest of the nation? No, but the trigger-happy and extremely safe state of Utah shouldn't, either.

    of enraged cats.
  13. Well, I don't think gun bans will have any effect on crimes like this. They will have a gigantic effect on a few urban crime rates though, but the solution isn't as simple as "banning guns". Alabama is among the most trigger-happy states and it is quite dangerous compared to most U.S. states with a murder rate of 6.9. The problem is Utah, Montana, and Wyoming are next on the list of gun ownership and they all have a homicide rate lower than many European countries. It is unfortunate to see such heinous crimes being committed lately, but these killers aren't ordinary criminals. Most crimes are committed in major metropolitan areas. Detroit (homicide rate: 42) will have more crime than Lincoln, Nebraska (.08). The deep south will have significantly more crime than northern New England.

  15. How is the person above you going to die?

Crash! City_Master runs outside to see Santa paying a visit. He stares in awe as Santa departs when suddenly... he has been ran over by a reindeer. He flailed like a ragdoll, bumping Santa's sleigh and knocking piles of gifts. The proceeding gifts pin him down. Crushed, bruised, trapped, and near freezing in the snowy blizzard, there is little chance of escape. Suddenly a light peers down and City_Master slowly and painfully crawls towards it in salvation... *SMACK -it was only a speeding car.
