For those who are curious, I am investigating how energy simulation and AMPS work.

Experimenting with adding tropical plants from CP vol 02 as undergrowth, plus some Heblem Tropical MMPs, what do you think? I also brushed god mode trees at a closer zoom to give it a denser, more forested appearance. Albeit, it seems that many tropical themed MMPs blend in far too well with the texture pack I use for my terrain

I don't think it's bad that your shrubs blend into the terrain —that's kind of what happens in real life.

Maybe what you need to ask yourself now is… what kind of tropical weather are you going for? Tropical rainforest tends to be thick canopy, but tropical monsoon or particularly savanna features more open spaces and less vibrant greens. What are your region.ini water settings?

Maybe it's the drivers

If you can't solve the issue, use the warranty.

I hope you can fix the issue; Manually download and install the drivers, update the BIOS via USB, and test again.

Edit. take pictures and video of everything, just in case.

Unfortunately, my PC doesn't recognize the card. I can't even install the drivers. I've run a bunch of tests, but so far, none of them have worked. I installed my GTX 1650 Super, and it recognized it right away. Tomorrow, I'll take it to a friend's to test it with a different PSU and motherboard. :thumb:

By the way, I also updated the BIOS to the latest version.

I fixed the problem with my graphic card. *:D

I've been playing around with SimCity 4's graphics settings and have only just realized how important it is to install the SC4 version of dgVoodoo. It removes 70% of the shuttering and increases the fluidity when a city is full of trees. The only problem is that it unnecessarily increases the brightness by 8% by default, but you can manually reduce it to -2% or +1% (I don't know how to make it neutral yet).

It is very important to manually modify SimCity 4's 3D settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel to avoid unnecessary power consumption and eliminate graphic glitches:
1. Disable anisotropic and trilinear texture filtering.
2. Set Texture Filtering to High Quality.
3. Limit FPS to a maximum of 60 to reduce your GPU/CPU power consumption and avoid crashes.
4. Make sure to disable Linked Optimization.
5. Disable any type of aliasing.

Heblem's tropical plants are too "rainforest-y" and warm for the montane tropical monsoon climate I'm going for, by the way, the entire region is, I think, has its elevation lifted by 500m in SC4TF from its default elevation, so all water is plopped. The part I showed you is around 650m above sea level. That said, the Yucatan tree controller really suits what I'm going for and basically searching for whatever tropical plant MMPs would fit in.

I didn't do any of that any my game runs fine and very fast.  What was the issue with your card anyway?  I feared it was dead since you said it wasn't recognized by your computer at all.

Bandung is almost tropical rainforest, so I would crank the humidity up in the region.ini file. That has a really large effect on flora — my region.ini has 0 min 50 max and there are (or were, before I went wild with agriculture) some bone-dry coastal deserts.

That being said, I got a couple plants that would actually fit nicely as underbrush in a tropical weather (but happen as the only possible vegetation on dry slopes). Note that this terrain is about 300 masl, a bit lower than yours but still on some elevation:

Tropical terrain mod as is OK for both rainforest or monsoon savanna, use of mmps special jungle like indeed only fit for uninabitat area's. Agriculture a mix aswell make it more monsoon like .Shrubs, grasses tropical plants busvhes, bamboo, and mo grove great to filill the gaps where the tree mod can't reach !

Sincerely yours,

Kschmidt

Solent - Southampton Regional Airport !

Active with the aviation, I had a look in to the Sollent region ! At the back theirs a long relative flat area ideal for a airport of a little realistic size !

pUpYWMd.jpg

Theme realistic I had some Bat´s and Lots available and may change overtime !

This should be Ok for local Large Turbo props and business Jets and everything smaller !

Extended the runway with two more long sections !

New clouds

Does anyone know how to increase cloud density?

It's not clouds, but I did request a vamped-up fog generator using Gizmo's Ground Fog effect and it does the trick pretty well. My fog is pretty low-lying, but I think you can alter that parametre too and set the fog high enough to make it an ersatz cloud cover.
